Afficher toutnoodle(455) soup(127) beef(87) broth(81) spicy(40) recommend(39) bowl(37) rapide(37) busy(35) fresh(32) pulled(29) huge(28)Clear light bone broth with noodles of your choice & spicy level. I had #1, thinnest noodles & extra extra spicy. Service staff prompt & courteous. Will try the thicker noodles next time.
I've heard about this place from the internet & try to visit it. It was really good. The noodle is handmade & you can choose the type of the noodle you like. The broth is also good & the portion is big. I ordered the traditional beef noodle soup big size & it was bigger than I expected. Their chili is not as hot as I expected & their beef is chewy & tender. The place is a little bit small, but there's a lineup when I visited it. Be prepare to get in a lineup especially on the weekend at dinner hour. The lineup is worth for the food itself.
My family & I had to wait in a line with people lining out the store. The line was quick, & the server was very fast & efficient. Food was absolutely INCREDIBLE with handmade noodles & a silky broth, melt in your mouth meat, & a spicy option to really crank up the heat. It's served in gigantic portion sizes, so make sure to only order the medium or small if you aren't starving.
We saw the line down the block to get in & knew immediately we had to try this place. 100% worth the wait & hype. I got the veggie noodle soup with the wide noodles & my husband got the traditional beef noodle soup. We also got the edamame & cucumber salads. Yum yum yum. The broths were so flavorful & the handmade noodles were excellent. The salads which were a hearty portion, were a perfect compliment, with the edamame one being my favorite. Def get in line to come to this gem of a place. Super authentic & a must when in Montreal
I ve been dreaming to go this place since my last stay in Montreal, even the medium size is huge. You need skills to eat & not staining your suits. Broth & noodles 🍜 delicious
Dan Dan noodle is the best here. I tried the broth options but nothing came close to the Dan Dan noodles. The food is always fresh & delicious. They increased their seating capacity in recent years, but there is still a big waiting line when you are at the peak hours. Recommended to go there early or during odd hours if you are a big group. Perfect for groups of 2 or 4 whenever. They have a lot of sizes for their noodles & they make it on the spot. Service is average, they seat you, take your order & that's pretty much it, it'll be hard getting water refills if you don't catch their attention. The ambiance is nice but quite loud when there are a lot of people. You also have to get up & go pay at the machine, some people don't know that & wait at their table lol. Overall I recommend giving the Dan Dan noodle a try at least once if you're in Montreal, I'd give more than 5 stars for food if I could, which is why I'm giving it an overall review of 5.
Tried the traditional beef noodles & was highly disappointed. The broth was salty yet lacked any depth of flavor. I felt like I was eating those 99 cents cup noodles that you pour hot water onto, with an overload of salt.
The BEST lan zhou noodle in Montreal! the portion is huge, the noodle are amazing, the broth is delicious, nothing bad I can say for this place honestly. Probably only the long line to take to go inside. But it was definitely worth.
First day exploring. 16 degrees F & was looking for a nice bowl of noodles & broth. Stumbled upon this noodle shop because the gentlemen in the window pulling the hand drawn noodles caught our attention. Upon walking in, there were steps into an underground Asian super market. Ambiance was great for a small noodle shop. Service was great. #6 noodles was my go to. Spice level wasn't bad, wish it was spicier. Definitely ask for vinegar to add into broth to balance out the MALA flavor. Other than that, I would recommend this spot for a nice bowl of noodles on a cold day!
good noodles. i like that u can pick ur own noodle width. they don't have too many vegetarian options though. like maybe one. but the size is super good & the broth is super good.
Long long wait time but good food! Very filling & the chili oil was so good to add to the broth. :)
Took the vegetarian option & broth was bland. Noodles were decent but whole dish didn't feel thought out. I also had to remind them to give me an egg that was included. The marinated cucumbers are ok, the seasoning is great but the cucumbers aren't fermented like in some other chinese noodle places.
Overall disappointed by the veg option, maybe the meat options are bette
Hey! So this is a great place if you want alot of food.
Pros
The sides are Amazing tons of flavor!!
The noodles tasted good.
The service was good- fast & friendly.
Cons
I found the broth was bland & the noodles tasted yummy but seemed a bit under cooked.

Good but not worth the wait line. I had the soup with the thickest round noodles. The broth tasted very much like traditional pho. I was expecting something different. The fresh noodles are amazing & I love watching them get made, it's so fascinating. The portions are huge. I had the small & could barely finish it. The meat was pretty good & tender nothing special. The egg was nice, it actually did take abit like tea. I had the algae/potato salad. I RARELY use this word but I hated it. I've had seaweed salad before, the glossy sushi restaurant type but this was completely different. Crunchy texture & it tasted like fishy slime. I had to add alot of spicy sesame paste they had on the table to make it bearable. The service was very fast no complaints there. All in all its a good place but if there's a lineup don't bother.
