You could tell that the noodles were fresh the broth was delicious & of course that it was made with love.
The best noodles I've tried in Canada until now. Very filling & the broth also so tasty, you can tell its an authentic recipe. Mind you, its difficult to finish even the small size 🤣. The servers are also really great, very helpful & take care of you well.
Such a great deal for a big bowl of delicious noodles!! I got the combo with veggie noodles, tea egg, & spicy cucumber & it was so worth it. Filling but isn't a heavy broth/meal that makes you feel heavy after. With the price & size, this place is worth the hype!
Nouilles de Lan Zhou is a fantastic place for authentic hand-pulled noodles. The noodles are fresh, chewy, & full of flavor, while the broth is rich & comforting. Fast service & excellent value make it one of the best spots for a satisfying meal in Montreal!!!
Great texture, disappointing flavor. The fresh, hand-pulled noodles are the highlight here, & I love that you can choose your own thickness. Unfortunately, the Combo 1 beef noodle soup lacked flavor & spices. The broth was too bland for my taste. Worth a visit for the noodle quality alone, but I'd recommend trying their dry/saucy dishes instead of the soups if you want a punch of flavor.
This is the place to eat fresh hand spun noodles with veggies, meat & a broth depending upon what you order.
There's almost always a perpetual line outside as well as looking-loos watching the noodle process.
We lucked out & got a table when we walked in. The broth & noodles were amazing! The food came very quickly. We choose two small soups & one medium & they were huge! We ended up bringing home leftovers.
Definitely recommend!
We had an enjoyable lunch at Nouilles de Lanzhou, a restaurant specializing in authentic Lanzhou-style hand-pulled noodles in Montreal's Chinatown. This restaurant specializes in traditional Chinese hand-pulled noodles & braised beef noodle soup. The noodles are traditionally made fresh for each order. Visitors can watch the noodle-making process through the window.
The menu features a variety of affordable options like signature Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup, Braised Beef Tendon Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles & side dishes such as Spicy Cucumber Salad, Edamame & Seaweed Potato Salad are also available. We ordered the Traditional LanZhou Hand-pull Beef Noodle & Zha Jiang Noodle with Homemade Pork Sauce. Both noodles tasted delicious & flavourful. They noodles tasted fresh with a chewy texture & the broth was light & savoury.
When we first came across this noodle shop, there was a size able line at the entrance. The wait is around 30 minutes at 1pm to get inside. When you get inside, you can see the noodles being made, which is cool!
The seating inside is modern & sleek, giving a very cozy fleeting with the stone tiles & walls. With being very clean. Especially the bathroom. Even though seating is small, it is very comfortable. But I suggest big families come ahead of time to find a table.
I ordered the vegetable noodle soup, with edamame with preserved vegetable coming out first. Which I gotta say came out with very little persevered vegetable & more just edamame alone.
It took 20 min for food to come out. The presentation could've been a little better. But the soup broth was very flavorful! I would say though I ordered the small size soup. But the amount of noodles I got were so much! So if you have a light stomach be sure to order small or get ready to take some home!
The noodles were rich as well, but the soup lacked many vegetable or plant protein. But that's to be expected from a noodle specialty shop. I say if you're vegan or vegetarian expect a lot of soft tender noodles, & I mean a lot. Also for the vegetable soup, it comes with an egg. You can request to not have it.
Overall if you like noodles you'll like this place, but your expecting the soup to have tons of vegetables this isn't the place
Great noodle spot. My first time going. They are quick & efficient. The broth is really great. The beef tender. Price is reasonable for a small! Would return
