My husband took me to Hiatus for my birthday, & honestly, this might be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every single dish was absolutely delicious & perfectly seasoned. The view was stunning & really elevated the whole evening. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, & the service was genuinely perfect, friendly, attentive, & thoughtful without ever feeling overbearing. I'm already looking forward to going back & trying more from the menu. Highly, highly recommend.

Amazing view from the 46th floor
especially at sunset!
We shared the pain au lait, tataki, & filet de boeuf, along with a bottle of wine ,everything was up to standard & well-prepared.
The place was packed, so keep in mind that even with a reservation, you're not guaranteed a window table. We ended up at the bar, but the view was still great & the experience enjoyable.
With the quality & the view comes the high price but it's worth it 😎
It's a 5-star experience, not just good food or good vibes!
The passionate & talented people working at Hiatus know a thing or two about the restauration business; many'hype' places in Montréal could largely benefit from their playbook!
The food is tasty. TAS-TY. Aromas, textures, flavours... you have it all! & of course, the view is unique & splendid!
Pro tip: afterwards, go for a nightcap at the Sora just below :)
Hostess wasn't helpful at all. I had booked a window side table but they put us in a different one & despite that we were only two & window side tables were free they didn't accommodate us & they weren't even nice about it .. we ended up leaving the restaurant without even having food …
It's a pity that staff aren't the best there , because the rooftop view is amazing … should be run more professionally….
a real disappointment. menu is limited. mostly fish. I ordered the salmon which was under cooked for my taste arrived in a small bowl? My guest ordered the ribs that also arrived in a small bowl but were very dry & a little too spicy! she sent it back & they suggested the duck dumplings as a menu favorite. No luck she did not like the taste at all. they were nice enough not to charge us for both these disappointments but results is still a big disappointment food wise. Great Views of the City but food wise forget it.

Fantastic place! Great view. Great food. Great service. They staff pays attention you, but they are not constantly at your table bugging you. Also, the tables are space far enough apart that you are not eating on top of one another. Also, the music was not too loud. We love it.
Very nice experience. The food quality is excellent & did not disappoint. We were a party of 4 & no complaints were made, we all enjoyed our meals. The drinks, however did disappoint. First drink I asked for a Litchi Martini, they brought me a Litchi Martini with a cherry in it, the litchi really is the best part of the drink, my second drink, an Amaretto Sour, no sugar around the rim, detail is not at its finest with the bartender. The views are spectacular, unfortunately the design & decor is not. The seats & table are almost cafeteria like, a very minimalist design, not warm or inviting. I would go again for the food & to see the sunset from such a beautiful view.
This really was such a great experience from the moment we stepped in till we left. Words cannot describe how tasteful the food was. We order the brioche wagyu, was 12/10. The view is stunning, staff if super friendly. Will definitely come back

My husband & I moved to Montreal in January & we dined at Hiatus to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was by far the best restaurant we've eaten in. On the 46th Flr of a commercial building, it has a spectacular view of the city. We had an amazing window seat, so got to enjoy such a beautiful city. Our waitress was lovely, personable, & attentive. We ordered delicious cocktails & a ton of food. Each dish was beautifully presented, delicious, & flavorful. This is superb Japanese fusion & has taken it to a new level. We thoroughly enjoyed a magical dining experience here & HIGHLY recommend it!
My husband & I chose Hiatus for a date night, & it was an unforgettable experience. Located on the 46th floor, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view of Montreal, & we were lucky enough to catch a stunning sunset, which made the evening even more special.
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The hostess was friendly, & our waitress was exceptional-she took the time to explain the menu & offer thoughtful recommendations. While the portions initially seemed small, they turned out to be perfectly satisfying. We left feeling content, without being overly full.
We shared two appetizers, enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine, & each ordered a main-the Filet & the Agneau. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, & beautifully presented. Dessert was just as impressive, a delightful way to end our meal.
Hiatus is undoubtedly on the pricier side, but given the quality of the food, service, & ambiance, it's well worth it. We will definitely return & look forward to bringing friends from abroad when they visit Montreal. Highly recommended for a special night out!

Came for lunch & had a great time in Hiatus! Sabayon au miso top, wagyu beef tartare with nicely balanced pallet & textures (& portion was appropriate for the main course), brownie with amazing raspberry coulis. The view is indeed stunning. Just be prepared that the menu may be different than presented on the website;)
Incredible view, great decor, vibe & service. Very sleek. It is a bit pricey but the cocktail & dish I ordered were good. It would be great if there were more vegan options. The menu is very meat heavy.
Amazing food, atmosphere, & view. Everything was perfect except for the service which needs a lot of improvement. Highly recommend the tartelette aux chanterelles.

However, since Hiatus is quite popular, reservations are highly recommended to secure a table. Between the breathtaking view, excellent service, & well-crafted dishes, it's definitely a place worth visiting.
