The experience at this restaurant was visually pleasant, but gastronomically it fell short of expectations.
The octopus, although paired with a well-flavored sauce, was not cooked properly. The bread & butter, presented as a standout specialty, felt simple & unremarkable. The alcoholic drink was acceptable, but did not justify its price.
The steak, which promised to be the highlight of the evening, did not meet expectations in either flavor or execution.
Without a doubt, the view is the restaurant's greatest asset, creating a lovely atmosphere. I would consider returning for the setting & perhaps a few drinks, but not for dinner. For the price, one expects a more refined & memorable culinary experience.
The food was good, but the portions were very small. The service was also good. It's a great place for a nice dinner, & I recommend going downstairs to Sora afterward for a drink for
a more bar/club vibe.

Die Bar hat mich komplett abgeholt. Schon beim Reingehen merkt man: entspannter Vibe, schick ohne steif zu sein - genau die Mischung, die man für einen guten Abend braucht.
Die Getränke? Richtig gut gemixt. Egal ob Cocktail oder Klassiker, alles auf den Punkt - lecker, kreativ und nicht überzuckert wie sonst oft.
Und dann die Aussicht … wow. Ob Sonnenuntergang oder nächtliche Skyline: Man könnte stundenlang sitzen und einfach nur schauen.
Kurz gesagt: Top Location, top Drinks, top Atmosphäre. Auf jeden Fall hingehen - lohnt sich!
Beutiful place with an outstanding view from the 46th floor. My friend & I got drinks. Can't comment on food. Service was great. Staff were friendly & helpful.
Première visite dans ce restaurant pour célébrer la fête de ma nièce & quelle expérience! Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été charmées par la vue spectaculaire, à couper le souffle. Le service était impeccable, attentionné & professionnel du début à la fin. Les plats étaient savoureux, raffinés & parfaitement présentés. Les drinks, quant à eux, étaient exquis & équilibrés à la perfection. Une expérience culinaire haut de gamme, à la fois élégante & chaleureuse. Je n'ai absolument pas regretté mon choix, j'y retournerai sans hésiter!
Great service & great drinks. The Aqua cocktail was amazing. The only down side was there was only one vegan option, the gyozas entré for 28$, so we only took drinks instead.

You don't go there for the food, it's pretty terrible & super expansive ( tomato salad with 7 cherry tomatoes & no more than 5 grams of ricotta cost 24$). Not a single dish made sense for us ended up just having drinks instead. The view is astonishing & the restaurant is really beautiful. Service was nice & everyone was friendly, but a bit pushy towards getting food.
Very nice experience. The food quality is excellent & did not disappoint. We were a party of 4 & no complaints were made, we all enjoyed our meals. The drinks, however did disappoint. First drink I asked for a Litchi Martini, they brought me a Litchi Martini with a cherry in it, the litchi really is the best part of the drink, my second drink, an Amaretto Sour, no sugar around the rim, detail is not at its finest with the bartender. The views are spectacular, unfortunately the design & decor is not. The seats & table are almost cafeteria like, a very minimalist design, not warm or inviting. I would go again for the food & to see the sunset from such a beautiful view.
Great views of Montréal! Loved the menu options. Food is prepared well & presentation was phenomenal. Drinks were great too. Great place to chill for lunch. Music was relaxing.

The food was mediocre, I was expecting better for the price point. The drink was absolutely HORRIBLE, made by a shaky & nervous bartender who spilled half the drink, & didn't bother to replace the spilled drink or ask for another. The only saving grace are the views from up here.
Expérience assez décevante. Pour avoir fait de nombreux restaurant de Montréal de divers standings, celui-ci n'est pas arrivé à la hauteur de nos attentes. Parfait pour un drink & pour profiter de la vue, mais la nourriture est moyenne pour des prix exorbitant. Des portions minimes sous le couvert de la gastronomies. Enfin, un service qui laisse grandement à désirer. Entre le serveur qui nous culpabilise pour notre retard pour une salle loin d'être comble & le fait que les serveurs ne nous ont pas traité avec soin.. Bref. Si ce n'était du geste de la cuisine de la garder ouverte plus longtemps (geste très clément vu le retard de certains membres du groupe), le service serait de 2 étoiles. Je recommande les plats à partager qui valent plus la peine gustativement que les plats principaux.
Amazing views where the service is impeccable! Drinks are great, but honestly the food could be better. The shrimp noodles were not good at all & my $160 wagyu Australian was extremely ordinary to be honest. The hot sauces, edamame, & mash potatoes were decent but the star of the show were the ribs, which were absolutely delicious.
Celebrating my birthday dinner at Hiatus was an absolute pleasure! From the moment we stepped in, we were enchanted by the modern vintage atmosphere & the breathtaking 360 views of Montreal. It truly was love at first sight! The service surpassed all expectations. Our server went above & beyond, offering insightful recommendations & sharing details about the locally sourced ingredients used in our meal. Their dedication to quality & sustainability was truly commendable. For drinks, I savored the Penthouse Pearls, & it was an absolute delight. As for the food, every dish was a masterpiece. From the succulent pork ribs & aged duck to the divine Sticky toffee pudding, each bite was a culinary delight. My friend is already eager to return when they're in town again, which speaks volumes about the lasting impression this restaurant left on us. After our dinner, we ventured downstairs to Rose Orange, the restaurant & bar, where we enjoyed one more delicious cocktail while admiring the view once more. If you're seeking a memorable dining experience with breathtaking views, impeccable service, & mouthwatering cuisine, look no further than Hiatus. This restaurant truly has it all & more! Super impressed with how beautiful the view is, it's truly incredible. The restaurant itself is good, the food/drinks are obviously great but you definitely go there mostly for the view/ambiance & ready to pay for that!
