Superb views of the city. Warm ambiance that sets the mood for an unforgettable evening. Every dish was excellent, the service was superior & we felt very pampered. Highly recommend.

The food was good, but the portions were very small. The service was also good. It's a great place for a nice dinner, & I recommend going downstairs to Sora afterward for a drink for
a more bar/club vibe.

The service was top-tier, & the food (at dinner) was solid for the price. I thoroughly enjoyed the cod with its accompanying potatoes, as well as the venison served with rice. That said, when comparing it to restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide, the food itself could have been stronger-especially given the price point. Still, it's hard to complain when the service is absolutely exceptional & the views are genuinely stunning. Overall, I'd recommend it to a friend.

La cuisine du restaurant Hiatus était vraiment excellente, avec des plats savoureux & bien présentés. Le service était globalement très bon. Cependant, j'ai été un peu gêné(e) lorsque la serveuse a évoqué le pourboire, car nous souhaitions en laisser un sans nous sentir obligés. Malgré ce petit détail, ce fut une expérience agréable que je recommande vivement.

Nous avons débuter la soirée avec une erreur de communication entre les employés, l'un d'entre eux n'avait pas bien noté l'heure de notre réservation. Nous avons attendu une quinzaine de minutes mais les employés ont trouvé une solution avec une table a couper le souffle & un cocktail offert par la maison afin de s'excuser de la situation, ce qui n'était pas nécessaire mais une attention très appréciée. Notre serveur était incroyable, il a pris le temps d'expliquer chacune des options & de nous donner son avis. Il nous a reçu avec un grand sourire & nous as recommandé le vin parfait pour compléter les plats que nous avons choisis. Malgré le malentendu, Hiatus a encore une fois surpassé nos attente & nous ont convaincu d'y retourner encore dans le future!

I've eaten at Enigma in Barcelone, La Tannière in Vieux Québec, & the Hiatus ranks amongst them. Innovative menu, surprising & delectable combinations, excellent wine pairings. I highly recommend the 5 course'off menu' menu. You will not be disappointed.

We came here for a birthday celebration & it did not disappoint. We are American so we had no idea what to expect. You have to take two elevators to get there. & then one guy leads you to another staircase that leads to the restaurant. I appreciate how friendly they were to me & let them speak French to them. The starters we had were the Maki shrimp, the milk bread, & the Gyoza's & they were so delicious. We ate all of it. We almost licked the sauce off the plates. Then for the course, my partner got a halibut & I got the duck & they so delightful. We did not get dessert because they did not seem appealing, but we did get two marshmallows for his birthday. Overall, we recommend this for anybody visit visiting Montreal. You also get great views of the city & stunning photos. 🌃📸

This restaurant was nostalgic because it overlooked those that remember the old 747 club in Montreal. The atmosphere is beautiful. The service is decent. Our appetizers were amazing, but I have to say the fish courses in the entree menu were sub par. We ordered two different ones & neither of us finished it. Very flavourless & minimal for the cost that you pay. We did not say anything to the server however, I would recommend just going here for cocktails, which are beautiful the view, especially the sunset & the Asian appetizers.

Très bel établissement alliant une vue stupéfiante de la ville de Montréal (à faire le soir c'est encore plus beau) avec une cuisine excellente & un service attentif & cerise sur la gâteau .... une carte des vins digne d'un étoilé en France

J'ai adoré ce restaurant - définitivement un coup de coeur.
J'ai beaucoup aimé mes choix de repas en autre le filet de boeuf avec les patates aux truffes noires ; un délice buccale. Les patates étaient crémeuses, le steak était succulent. Ensuite, la petite entrée aux tomates était fantastiquement excellente.
Le service était parfait, la serveuse était souriante, patiente & très calme.
La vue était très belle - toutefois, la luminosité était très faible (ce qui est très bien ; une ambiance intime & très calme), il est donc difficile de prendre de belles photos !
Je recommande fortement surtout pour des premiers dates en amoureux ou bien pour une soirée intime 🤭

Jai vraiment aimé mon expérience.que dire du service qui est plus qu'excellent. Par contre mon opinion personnelle, Jai trouvé quil manquait de choix sur le menu. Je vais recommander votre restaurant.

J'ai eu la chance de profiter d'un dîner au Hiatus dont je garde un excellent souvenir. Premièrement la vue est tout simplement à couper le souffle.
Le menu dégustation en 5 services est d'un raffinement & d'une élégance rare. Je le recommande vivement.
Il me tarde de pouvoir revenir pour découvrir les nouveautés de la carte du chef François Leduc !!

My husband & I agree that Hiatus is one of our favorite places to dine & enjoy the overall experience in Montreal. We visited on a Wednesday night. Reservation was easy to make & our table was available on time.
The service was incredibly intentional & collective in approach.
We tried the tasting menu & OMG that was the best decision we could have made. (although the other food coming out also looked divine).
Everything was delicious & it seemed to follow a seafood theme.
Most importantly, we did not leave hungry! The 5 courses are filling!
The only little small thing is, if you are celebrating a special occasion, you'll need to tell them directly. I don't think they pay attention to reservation notes. Even so, we had a remarkable experience & I highly recommend.

My husband took me to Hiatus for my birthday, & honestly, this might be one of the best dining experiences I've ever had. Every single dish was absolutely delicious & perfectly seasoned. The view was stunning & really elevated the whole evening. The atmosphere was elegant yet relaxed, & the service was genuinely perfect, friendly, attentive, & thoughtful without ever feeling overbearing. I'm already looking forward to going back & trying more from the menu. Highly, highly recommend.

Le cocktail Fluji Flyer, c' est extrêmement recommandé. L'ambiance est parfaite pour une soirée avec tes amies, une date ou juste un souper avec une merveilleuse vue.
Les serveurs sont super polis & très attentifs, tous sourient tout le temps & ils ont vraiment un très bon vibe.
Bref, j'ai adoré la fusion japonaise/française & je reviendrai.

My husband & I moved to Montreal in January & we dined at Hiatus to celebrate our wedding anniversary. This was by far the best restaurant we've eaten in. On the 46th Flr of a commercial building, it has a spectacular view of the city. We had an amazing window seat, so got to enjoy such a beautiful city. Our waitress was lovely, personable, & attentive. We ordered delicious cocktails & a ton of food. Each dish was beautifully presented, delicious, & flavorful. This is superb Japanese fusion & has taken it to a new level. We thoroughly enjoyed a magical dining experience here & HIGHLY recommend it!

My husband & I chose Hiatus for a date night, & it was an unforgettable experience. Located on the 46th floor, the restaurant offers a breathtaking view of Montreal, & we were lucky enough to catch a stunning sunset, which made the evening even more special.
From the moment we arrived, we felt warmly welcomed. The hostess was friendly, & our waitress was exceptional-she took the time to explain the menu & offer thoughtful recommendations. While the portions initially seemed small, they turned out to be perfectly satisfying. We left feeling content, without being overly full.
We shared two appetizers, enjoyed a lovely bottle of wine, & each ordered a main-the Filet & the Agneau. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, cooked to perfection, & beautifully presented. Dessert was just as impressive, a delightful way to end our meal.
Hiatus is undoubtedly on the pricier side, but given the quality of the food, service, & ambiance, it's well worth it. We will definitely return & look forward to bringing friends from abroad when they visit Montreal. Highly recommended for a special night out!

As someone visiting from Miami, I didn't expect to find this level of dining in Montreal-but Hiatus completely blew me away! From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable-attentive, professional, & truly elevating the experience. The ambiance was modern yet inviting, setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable meal.
The food? Absolutely amazing. Every dish was executed to perfection, with flavors that were both bold & refined. The attention to detail in presentation & taste made it clear that this is a restaurant that takes pride in every aspect of the dining experience.
Montreal has surprised me with its culinary scene, & Hiatus stands out as a must-visit. Whether you're a local or a visitor, this place is an absolute gem. Highly recommend!
