The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. Although its name and décor have changed over time, the dining experience has always stayed consistent. The Keg’s focus has been, and continues to be, on providing exceptional service and quality food in a comfortable atmosphere for its guests.
Quality, comfort and value are three key ingredients that make The Keg experience unlike any other. When it comes to steak, The Keg serves only the finest cuts, aged for tenderness and seasoned with a unique blend. Classic cocktails, delicious appetizers, succulent seafood, and an outstanding wine list round out its classic menu. The Keg’s friendly and knowledgeable staff creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy, relax and be themselves. Whether you’re getting together with friends or celebrating with family, you’ll always be welcomed with a smile.
Overall, The Keg is a solid choice for steak lovers, with many visits featuring flavorful, well cooked steaks, reliable sides, and attentive service in a warm, lively setting that suits celebrations as well as casual dinners; guests frequently praise the consistent quality, strong bar scene, and friendly staff, with several standout moments where staff went above and beyond. Some visits are affected by crowded rooms, noise, or slower service, and a few meals miss the mark on doneness or seasoning, leading to mixed experiences. Price can be a consideration, but many feel the value is fair for the steakhouse experience, and reservations are recommended at peak times.
Long wait to get seated without reservation of 45 min. Food was great & service but had to wait a long time for main meal to get delivered. They did bring free birthday cake for my daughter.
I have always heard so much about the Keg. I decided to go last month, on a Friday night. I don't know if it was an off night, but I was very disappointed. I ordered the filet mignonette, medium rare. It came with backed potatoes & 1 carrot. The meat was tasteless & the potatoes were pasty. Th service was fine but it was very loud. All in all it was a very expensive meal ($120.) I have had much better elsewhere. For a specialty steakhouse, not worth the money in my experience.

Ok, the food was alright but really not over the top by any means. For the price we pay $$$ I was expecting more. The service was rather slow, even though the server did he's best it seemed labored . The overall experience was disappointing at best, & it seems the Keg is taking advantage of overcharging for underwhelming food.
It's a nice location we always had great service here. We came in at 6pm. Placed order 6:15. Waited for mains for 1.5 hour. All other people who came in after us got their orders. Not sure what happened but I guess wait staff did not like us.
Had the lobster tails & was not impressed. $54 they didn't taste fresh more boiled & reheated, very disappointing. I would definitely not order this again.

I go to the keg on a weekly basis in both Ontario & Quebec. The quality has gone down in the last 6 months at this location unfortunately. Our nacho order was incorrect & being remade but while it was being redone, they left the garlic cheese toast on the warmer. By the time we got it it was room temp. They did make us a new one but we were full at that point. Also the nacho size has gone down by 25-30%, specifically at this location only. The mango daiquiris as usual are amazing however it was sitting on the bar top for awhile before our server brought it for us & we were the only ones on the patio she was serving. They did give us a free Billy miner pie as it was my mom's birthday, which is standard for birthdays.
Last visit we could only book for a lounge table, so book early, like a week. Good parking here. Prepare for upscale pricing & upscale service. Tender meat served at just the right temperature. Garlic mashed potatoes are great. Vegs are great. Can't recommend mushroom rice, too much crunchy things added. Great for a date, business meeting, or special occasions.
