We go to the Keg quite often but this visit was disappointing to say the least. We went to celebrate my birthday . Unfortunately steaks were medium well, instead of medium rare! In short looking for a new steakhouse. Suggestions are welcomed
Missing personality. Very cut & dry steakhouse (pun intended). Went for a birthday, I don't like steak so picked the blackened chicken that was not blackened at all. It was like a boiled barely seasoned chicken breast. Not buttery or sweet from the'hot honey'. The fries were also subpar. Everyone else enjoyed their steak meals though! Just need to work on non steak entrées!! Calamari & soups were also good. Waiter was very professional yet fun, explained a lot about the wine pairing which was a great experience.
EDIT BELOW!! The food was very good & the weiter was extremely kind & helpful since it was my first time at this restaurant, however my reservation was for 8pm & we were only sat at 8:25 & I had to go up & ask for an update after standing there for 15 minutes not knowing what to do. I chose this place for my anniversary dinner & though it ended well with good food it made it less enjoyable standing around for 25 minutes. EDIT: while my initial experience was subpar the staff at the keg did well above what was expected to make sure my second time (on new years eve for a birthday celebration) was absolutely amazing. I had never been to a resterant where the staff took action to fix any past issues as well as this one did, I could actually tell that they cared for our dining experience & weither we left satisfied, 100% will be coming here for every future event or date night from here on.
It was very nice I enjoyed a lot I went from my anniversary my 34th anniversary to my husband & I went from my 54th birthday & both times I had a great time stop was pleasant the food was great the atmosphere was really nice

It's my first time eating a steak in a restaurant so my expectations were high, perhaps unrealistic. I ordered it medium. I was expecting more searing o.o I found it average. The sides (salad & potatoes) were good. It was for my birthday & they gave me a slice of cake, which is appreciated. Service & atmosphere were good no complaints. I'm not sure I would order a steak again !
Disappointing evening at the Keg Pte Claire for my mother's birthday. Spent a few hundred bucks & left with mixed feelings. While the service & my steak was good, the rest was a bit disappointing. Ordered a caesar salad to start, it had barely any vinaigrette, nothing else but parmesan on it & most of the salad wasn't fresh. It's probably one of the worst caesar salad I've had, it's usually a pretty safe dish. My son had a plate of veggies with his kid meal. Th carrots were huge, he couldn't bite into it, I had to cut them again & the celeri was full of dirt from where it grew. Not impressed. I had the rib steak for the main which was really good but the side of veggies tasted nothing. All this to say that it wasn't a terrible experience but when paying a few hundred bucks for a meal you expect a certain quality in the food & it was simply not there. It was my first time at the Pte Claire location & not sure I will go back, had much better experience in Laval & Downtown Montreal. Not the type to complain at the restaurant or to leave reviews for a matter of fact but the fact that I woke up the next morning wondering if I should have brought the family elsewhere made me do it.
Excellent. The baseball sirloin was cooked perfectly to my request, the bloody caesar was so good & the service was impeccable. & the Billy Miner pie was scrumptious. Thank you. It was a special night for my boyfriend's 60th birthday with his brother coming to Montreal for it.
I went there for my cousin birthday dinner! Anthony was serving us, was really patient & helpful! From appetizers to main courses, this gastronomic experience was beyond my expectations: spectacularly scrumptious! I enjoyed the filet mignon , & I highly recommend the Billie Miner Pie! Service of quality & excellent & friendly atmosphere

It was our first time at your restaurant. From the hostess to the wait staff, our experience was perfect!! We loved the dim lights & easy listening atmosphere. Our food was top notch!!! Our waiter, Marty & his trainee, Matthew, were more attentive than we have experienced in any other restaurant. I let Marty know that I had severe allergies & before we knew it your manager, Chris, came to allay any concerns I had. Truly impressive!!! The complimentary birthday cake for my brother was a very unexpected pleasure. We plan to dine again at your fine establishment. 10 thumbs up! Peter & Brenda Bamatte
Long wait to get seated without reservation of 45 min. Food was great & service but had to wait a long time for main meal to get delivered. They did bring free birthday cake for my daughter.
I go to the keg on a weekly basis in both Ontario & Quebec. The quality has gone down in the last 6 months at this location unfortunately. Our nacho order was incorrect & being remade but while it was being redone, they left the garlic cheese toast on the warmer. By the time we got it it was room temp. They did make us a new one but we were full at that point. Also the nacho size has gone down by 25-30%, specifically at this location only. The mango daiquiris as usual are amazing however it was sitting on the bar top for awhile before our server brought it for us & we were the only ones on the patio she was serving. They did give us a free Billy miner pie as it was my mom's birthday, which is standard for birthdays.

My favourite go-to restaurant for a fun night out with family, friends or date night! The food is almost always on point & the atmosphere is great. We brought our 2 year old here for her birthday & they were so great with her & even offered to clean her plates & cutlery that we brought from home (never had that service anywhere else!).
We were there for a birthday; the service was amazing , our waiter was great & did really well. I believe his name was Sanghee gave the best options for wine to go with our meals. Food was tasteful no complaints at all we loved our night there.
Went here on a Monday at 4:00 pm for an early dinner & birthday celebration . The food was Amazing , the staff was Amazing ( Thank you Peggy our awesome server , you were awesome ) & the place it self is amazing , over the top !! Felt really spoiled & really enjoyed my cooked to perfection New York Striploin & double mashed baked potato ! Can't wait to go back , highly recommended !
Disappointing experience on the part of management . We were celebrating a special birthday on Friday. We were in the middle of having our starters when the power went out. Few minutes later we were asked to pay full price for our wines & unfinished starters. No olive branch offered. No incentive to come back.
