The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. We come to this restaurant not only for the delicious food but specifically to be served by David. He's a lighthearted, funny, & polite waiter who consistently provides exceptional service. Every time we visit, David makes sure we feel welcome & taken care of. His friendly & attentive nature enhances the entire dining experience. Came here for our 1 year anniversary. They had a large party in the terrace upstairs, & the mains took a bit longer than you would like. With that said, I could not recommend this restaurant more. Our server, Maddy, was extremely friendly & kind. The manager came by & comped our appetizers for the wait, which wasn't even necessary. & then brought us complimentary bubbly for our anniversary. Truly a pleasant dining experience.View more

Last visit we could only book for a lounge table, so book early, like a week. Good parking here. Prepare for upscale pricing & upscale service. Tender meat served at just the right temperature. Garlic mashed potatoes are great. Vegs are great. Can't recommend mushroom rice, too much crunchy things added. Great for a date, business meeting, or special occasions.View more

I love the Keg but this most recent experience was somewhat disappointing . The steak didn't seem to be seasoned , the orders were mixed-up a bit & the waiter was a bit aggressive when we ordered coffee/tea & dessert. I will still go back & I recommend others to go but if my best experience is also bad , then I would probably be done . Too expensive to leave disappointed.View more

How disappointing. Was looking forward to a nice evening out & a great meal. Got neither. I previously had a very bad experience with the keg in the old port, so I was very hesitant coming here. Waitress was gaunt, very unhappy & smelled of weed.
My date insisted that I didnt complain because they weren't a fan of unpleasant scenes, especially in public. It seemed like such a chore for her to come see us. Her attitude just sucked the life out of our dining experience.
I think her name was Linda or Lisa. I do not recommend her as a waitress at all!

Faaaaaantastic steaks! Definitely recommend, been there a number of times. Can get a little loud in the bar area but the resto proper has a really great ambience for small gatherings or romantic dinners. We really enjoyed ourselves & the servie was great. We even got a complimentary glass of champagne because it was our anniversary!

Food was exceptional. A little over on the pricey side but hey, you get what you pay for. Service was very professional & the food from appetizer to dessert were magnificent! I went here with my partner once when the place had just opened & it was this very pleasant experience. I hope the second time we give it a try would still give us the same impression of the place. Otherwise, i will recommend this place to a friend!
