Absolutely fantastic experience at The Keg!

Everything was truely exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious - perfectly prepared, full of flavour, & honestly one of the best meals we've had in a long time.

But what really made the evening special was our hostess, Erica. She was simply amazing - incredibly friendly, welcoming, attentive, & genuinely made us feel like valued guests.

The combination of fantastic food, great atmosphere, & exceptional service made for a perfect evening!

A huge thank you to Erica!

We will absolutely be back. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First, I will say that despite this mediocre review, I will be back. This visit I hope was just an anomaly. One of my party requested medium well steak & it was medium rare, she finished it but had to eat without looking, because of the blood. Coffee was offered only on one part of the table, we didn't realize it until the bills were presented, & of course by then it was too late. We brought a cake, & it was served on red hot plates, it was odd to have a cold dessert on a hot plate! One of my party ordered a drink & 2 were brought! The good news is that it was complimentary but it was relatively awkward. As I said, it was not all bad, I love the Keg, & I will be back, Im making the assumption that this was an off day.

We have been a long-time Keg patron, but this was hands down the worst experience we have ever had. If I could give zero stars, I would. After being seated, we sat for 30 minutes without a single staff member acknowledging us or taking a drink order. We ended up walking out after half an hour of being completely ignored. Terrible service, especially for the price.

The keg is consistently great. Service is always above & beyond. In a world of expected tips, they still know what it's like to work for a tip.

Pricey, but you get what you paid for.

We went there to celebrate our 30th Wedding Anniversary. It was ABSOLUTELY perfect. The service the food the atmosphere was exactly what we were looking for.
The manager came to congratulate us & brought us 2 glasses of champagne. What a really nice touch. Thank you!!

Very Disappointing Experience at Keg Pointe Claire

The Keg is usually our go to restaurant, & we have tried locations all over Ontario. We even went to the Old Montreal location just two days ago. Whenever we visit, we almost always order the same two dishes, the Blackened Chicken & the Baked Garlic Shrimp.

We came to Montreal for a vacation, & unfortunately, on the last day of our vacation, we had a very disappointing experience at the Pointe Claire location.

The Baked Garlic Shrimp was good as usual, but the Blackened Chicken was extremely salty, to the point that I could barely eat my meal. I mentioned this to our waitress, expecting that she would at least check with the chef or offer some kind of solution. Instead, she simply said sorry & nothing else. She did not seem to communicate the issue to the kitchen, & there was no attempt to address the meal.

What made this especially disappointing is that we are regular Keg customers & genuinely love going there. We come specifically because we know we can count on the food & the experience. Having this happen on the last day of our vacation in Montreal was especially upsetting.

We really enjoy The Keg & have had great experiences at other locations, but unfortunately, today's food quality & the way our concern was handled at the Pointe Claire location did not meet the standard we have come to expect.

I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, especially when a customer takes the time to let the staff know there is an issue with their meal.

Ordered the prime rib steak & it arrived gray. No char, no crispness, barely any tenderness, very disappointed. 60$ for a garbage steak that looked like it was purchased at Maxi & stuck in a pot of boiling water before being served to me. I could'nt believe the plate they set down for me - it looked microwaved.

They also didn't put any mixed vegetables or little mushrooms with the steak as they usually do. Overall horrible experience.

The waitress also never asked if our meal was okay when she brought it to us, when picking up our plates or before bringing the bill. No opportunity at all to complain. So utterly disappointed. 😢

Note: I've had the prime rib steak medium at this location & at other keg locations in the last 12 months, & never did it look or taste like what it did. Woof.
