My mother & I visited this restaurant on a public holiday during our trip to Canada. Despite the wind & rain, we were looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner together, but unfortunately, our experience was ruined by the server.
I asked if they had an English menu because I don't speak French, but they only had French menus available.
I was trying to read the menu while also listening to the server's explanation, & with all the background noise & a child crying nearby, it was difficult to understand everything clearly.
When I politely asked the server to explain it again, they sighed, picked up a pen & started scribbling on the menu in a clearly irritated manner as if I should have been able to understand just by looking at the marks.
I was upset enough that I considered asking for a different server, but the tables were very close together, & I didn't want to disturb the other customers or ruin my mother's evening, so I decided to let it go.
I usually have no problem leaving a tip when I receive good service, but because of the server's attitude, I reduced the default 15% tip to 10%.
Honestly, I didn't feel that the service deserved a tip at all.
A little patience & basic courtesy can make a huge difference in a customer's experience.

Had an excellent experience. I have a gluten allergy & mentioned it to my server. She immediately took it seriously & checked with the kitchen. Shortly after, the manager came to my table & personally explained how my filet mignon & fries would be prepared to avoid cross-contamination. They even made the fries in the oven instead of the fryer.
The service was outstanding, the steak was one of the best I've had in a long time, & the atmosphere was fantastic. Really appreciated the attention to detail & care. I'll definitely be back!
Went to the Keg after catching a game at the Bell Centre, was given absolutely incredible service by Lola, who was extremely hospitable & knowledgeable about what wines to pair with the (very yummy) steak i ordered. Thank you Lola for making my experience so enjoyable & thank you to the cooks for the excellent steak!
L'emplacement en terrasse est très cool, les drinks sont bons, l'attente pour recevoir les plats était raisonnable.
Cependant la cuisson des viandes était catastrophique, nous avons commandé trois viandes différentes saignantes & les trois viandes sont arrivés avec une cuisson différentes dont une quasiment crue.
La serveuse ne comprenait pas ce qui n'allait pas, le chef vient nous expliquer comment il cuit la viande, celle-ci n'était même pas grillé. Je ne comprends l'explication.
Cela sera pour nous la dernière fois, deux plats pour 138$ avec service à peine present, tres peu attentionné (quand on propose minimum 18% sur un appareil de paiement en service on s'attend à quelque chose de très bon, des recommendations, des propositions de plats, etc.. ). Bref si vous avez envie de viande passez votre chemin, ce restaurant n'est ni plus ni moins qu'un attrape touriste.
Loved my experience at the Keg. The food, the service, the atmosphere & the dessert were all top notch. I ordered the Top Sirloin steak with the twice baked potato as a side. Also, the dessert was fantastic. The Billy Miner pie didn't disappoint.
We visited the Keg for supper whilst visiting from Ottawa. Although the starter (lobster & shrimp dip) & salads (wedge & caesar) were good, our fillets were not as flavorful as they usually are. The meat was tender, but it needed a liberal dose of salt to render it more enjoyable.
