I went to The Keg Steakhouse in Montreal for my birthday dinner & absolutely loved both the food & drinks. It's easily one of my favourite spots for celebrating special occasions. The portions were generous, & everything was flavourful & satisfying. The atmosphere felt warm & inviting, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. It's definitely on the pricier side, but for the quality, service, & overall experience, it's completely worth it.
This picture is a 56 dollar steak that I was served. It was dark in the restaurant but to me it looked almost raw. I ordered medium well done. I took it to go & enjoyed the potatoes & mushrooms. I threw it out though as it just looked & tasted raw with NO salt or pepper. The drinks were great! Take a look!

Had a great night at The Keg Downtown! The Rib Steak was absolutely perfect - juicy, flavorful, & cooked exactly right. The Tuna Tartare wasn't my favorite appetizer, but everything else made up for it.
Update:
Tonight was my girlfriend's birthday, so we went to this restaurant. Our waiter was Jason. After I told him it was my girlfriend's birthday & I wanted to order a cake, he said he'd bring one as a surprise. I only asked for a candle on it. He told me not to order it myself. Unfortunately, he never brought anything & just handed me the bill. This ruined our once-a-year birthday night & really embarrassed me in front of her. I'm writing this to let you know I come here at least weekly-whether for drinks or their incredible steaks-but one unprofessional waiter has completely ruined my night & my view of this restaurant.
Came in for my friend's birthday 2 hours prior to closing & had a good experience. Nathan was a delight! My only complaint would be hearing a female server comment on guests coming in near closing. That's not good service & didn't feel very welcoming. Apart from that, the food & drinks tasted great & our server was amazing.
Took my daughter to the Keg PVM this past Sunday. The server, like many, took our orders using memory, not notepad. Our order was simple yet she forgot each of our sides, so she came back, twice, to confirm. Whenever we wanted another drink, we had to go find her. They still brought the wrong side for my daughter & the bacon surrounding the filet mignon was half raw & chewy. Once we were done, plates cleared, once again had to go find her for the bill. Thereafter, received a survey from The Keg which I completed honestly giving it a 3 star service. Someone emailed me promptly saying to call them & they'd make it right. I replied to the email, twice, over the last 2 days asking when is a good time & their name as there was no name in the email. Tonight I called the number...whoever answered it wasn't the keg & had no idea what I was talking about. Very disappointing.
I & a few friends had the pleasure of dining at The Keg (PVM location) last night & had an absolutely wonderful time. On our own, our group laughs all the time & our server, Jason, sized us up immediately & was absolutely amazing!! His wit, sense of humor, attentiveness, recommendations, the service, the food, the drinks, the ambience... was perfection! Even the manager... who was extremely busy, briefly stopped by our table for a moment. From A-Z it was a wonderful dining experience! I Highly recommend it!! We'll 100% be going back for more!
I loved my prime rib sandwich. Soaking it in the jus was so insanely good. The three cheese butter with our starter bread was so good. My fiancee ordered a filet mignon which came very underdone for what we asked. Thankfully, our waiter noticed as he checked in, & fixed it for us. Delicious. They comped our drinks & gave us free dessert after. Great save. Good service, delicious food.

Had an great experience at the keg in downtown. The food & service were excellent. Drinks were also good, meal was served in a timely manner, definitely recommend.
really nice ambiance good music at an adequate level, I really enjoyed the food. It was really good. The baked brie was amazing. The drinks were really good. I would recommend the Kegnog since it is a specialty of the month. Great service by Alishay, woud definitely come here again.
Classic The Keg with a very nice terrace, great food & great service. As usual they didn't disappoint, shutout to our waiter Noah for taking care of us! My filet mignon was cooked to perfection & served with delicious sides. The drinks were so good & the atmosphere was perfect. If you can, get a table on the terrace. On a nice day, it's amazing! If you're there for a birthday celebration, the cake is HUGE & you can absolutely share.
Great place & the staff is also very very kind! The server gave me an excellent drink reccomendation. Despite not eating much, the food was good & came in a timely manner.
Will definitely come again :)

Wow wow wow, where do I begin. Everything was top notch. It was our first time visiting the keg being that we're from the states & everyone from the server (Rudy) to the chef was super helpful & friendly. Rudy took his time to help us pick the perfect meal & drinks. Chef came out to confirm that our allergies would not be a problem. & last but not least, the food was amazing.
Our server was very nice & knowledgeable. There was a tendency to be a little pushy with promoting more drinks & desserts which was a little annoying. Food was great however. The ribeye was remarkably delicious. However, the first one came out not at the temperature I ordered which was frustrating.
This Keg is located in Place Ville Marie. It's convenient on a rainy day as you can park underground & walk up into the restaurant. Keep your bill as you can validate your parking on your way to your parking spot to save money & only pay 8 dollars. They have good drinks that you can make a Keg size by adding an additional shot into it. The food was mediocre. It wasn't as good as the one in the West Island or Laval. The steak wasn't rare like I ordered. It was more of a medium. The mushrooms lacked flavor, but the calamari, bread, & salad were good. If you like ice cream, you have to try the Billy Minner pie! It's delicious!!
The food & atmosphere was 100% Keg. The food was excellent. Our server was great but new?...missed a few little things like refilling our water, asking for drink refills, missed asking if we wanted pepper on our steaks, & possibly short staffed as we only had the food delivered & never saw our waitress again until bill.
We visited this location on the 13th of June, 2024. It was my husband's bday & he loves the prime rib. This time, however, the prime rib was not good. We each had one & they were tiny & not the same usual amazing flavours. On top of that, the fire alarm was screeching & blaring for 15 - 20 mins. They gave us our soft drinks for free & the bill with tax & tip was still 130$. Very disappointed.
Never disappoints! This particular location is our go to keg for birthdays & special occasions. The food & drinks are absolutely amazing & delicious, the service is top notch & the atmosphere is honestly the best I have ever experienced. Highly highly recommend this steakhouse!
