Deli La Trattoria comes up in reviews as a busy, authentic Italian spot with wood fired pizza, hearty sandwiches, cannoli and a well stocked deli and grocery that many say is worth the visit, praised for fresh ingredients, generous portions and a warm, welcoming, family run vibe; the food is repeatedly described as delicious and comforting, with standout items like wood oven pizza and crispy cutlet sandwiches, though a few visits note moments of slower or less prompt service and occasional gaps in preparation or organization in peak times; overall, the place is seen as a West Island gem for true Italian flavors, casual dining or takeout, a lively atmosphere, good value, and a broad selection of Italian products that keeps customers returning.
I've been here many times & every time is a great experience. The food is amazing, specifically their pizzas, & my personal favourite the meatball sub. Not only that but the staff is always very kind & welcoming, making it a great experience overall.
La Tratt where do I start... I've always heard good things about this place from friends & family so I thought to give it a try. However almost immediately after entering my experience was bad, employees being unorganized to just being plain rude. I was new around here so I had a few questions about the products when I asked I was answered with a belittling answer, like I was some type of idiot for not knowing, Wasn't professional at all... Staff was running around & took a long time for me to get my things & ring me up (only two items)... & the food was only ok nothing like what people were telling me before. Pizza was soggy & to be honest reminded me of frozen store bought pizza a little. Other thing I got was a sandwich it was decent but it wasn't as flavorful as I was hoping, was a bit underwhelming. I really wanted to like this place but I just cant recommend La Tratt to anyone.
The staff are all friendly & helpful even when super busy, they are always so accommodating & super efficient. The wraps are scrumptious, as well as everything we have tried from the Trattoria.
Looking forward to having coffee outside over the next few months.
Always think that the management is doing something very right as the staff all look like they really enjoy their jobs & happy to be at work 👍🏻😊.
Extremely disappointed. This was my first time at La Tratt & the staff seemed completely uninterested, slow to take orders, & overall rude! It felt like we were an inconvenience just for being there. In terms of quality, the food did not meet expectations. It lacked freshness & consistency, especially considering the price point.Overall, the combination of disorganization, slow service, & underwhelming food quality made this a frustrating experience. Would not go back, save your time & money.
Nice pizza 🍕 store in the west island area. I got the classic Margherita pizza & tiramisu. Pizza is delicious but the tiramisu is too wet … i recommend order before heading to take out. It's just during weekends dinner time.
We went there & it was amazing! Good service, the wait wasn't long, the workers are friendly, there's many choices of food & multiple other stuff & their most popular sandwich is really good! I recommend 😉
Food was ok....not super but ok....only because I'm used to going to REAL Italian East end bakeries.
So I noticed a family in front of me & they were French speaking but they were greeted & served in english only...
I felt bad for them & decided I was not going back there as my small contributions to what's right
Go try Noninnas in Lachine or Salerno on Charland ave

Your complaint about being on hold got a 20 yr old girl putting herself through university fired. You assumed employee incompetence, but did you ever stop to think that it was ownership incompetence for being severely understaffed?
'Management' missed a teachable moment & fired her without so much as a discussion as to what happened, based solely on your complaint.
I am sure that the keyboard warrior you are didn't stop to think about that.
Your words have real world consequences.
I hope you are happy.
If you want a true taste of Italy, this is the spot to try. A hidden gem in the West Island with authentic, delicious food & a great atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit! 🇮🇹
Come here for the wood fired pizza & the deli side. Food is always good. Staff always friendly.
On this occasion, young lady at the counter on the pizza side was a little lacking in promptness & organization: I had initially called to place an order for my pizzas - in the car from Beaurepaire & Woodland. She put me on hold. I had time to get there & was still on hold: she had forgotten to take back the line, pretty ordinary since when I got there, there was no clients at all on the pizza side.
Then, I ordered my 2 pizza & 2 tiramisus at the counter. Went on the deli side to buy some stuff... Got back on the other side, got the pizzas, but she forgot to pack my tiramisus, & my bad as well, I forgot to check... Only realized at home that I didn't have them & forgot to check before I left. Would have been pratical that they were prepped with my order ready to go....
Luckily the pizza was good as usual. Service from this young lady not so much....
