Delicious calamari. Delicious pizza. The waiter was super nice and funny. Definitely going back!
Second review: went back 3 weeks ago. It was even better than the last time. We took the tasting menu and every single dish was delicious! Worth every penny. Definitely recommend this restaurant.
first review: Simply delicious. Great service.
After reading so many positive comments and saw that this place delivered through SkipTheDishes, I decided to order food tonight for dinner and unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I went to eat at another Indian restaurant a few weeks and it was much better. Not sure if I would order from here again. Disappointing naan bread as well.
Went to eat here tonight with 6 friends. We took the all you can eat tasting menu at 35$/person. Everything was absolutely delicious! Was my first time going here and I am already looking forward to going back. Service was great too, very nice waiters. Definitely recommend this place!
It's delicious but a little overpriced
Went for dinner last night with 2 friends. We shared fried calamari and beef tartar - both delicious, not to mention the sausage in tomato sauce they serve at the table with bread, that was good too! I rarely order pasta when I go out to eat because I'm very picky but last night I ordered the linguini with shrimps, scallops, spinach and sun dried tomatoes and I was not in the least bit disappointed, finished the whole portion which was very generous in size. My friend said her filet mignon melted in her mouth and her fiancé's risotto was very good as well. Restaurant is very nice and service/waiter was great. We will definitely be going back :)
Went 2 weeks ago with some friends. Service is good, the staff is very nice. Not impressed with the food. My crepes were raw in the center. Potatoes are good but a bit too cheesy for my taste.
Amazing gyro. Tzatziki is really good!
Very nice looking restaurant. We were a group of 4, 2 of us arrived earlier, we ordered drinks, our 2 other friends arrived 15 minutes later and we still hadn't received our drinks...service is a little slow even though restaurant wasn't busy. Tap water served at the table is warm, no ice. Pizza is delicious. Would go back.
Worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. Went to this restaurant last night with 3 friends, our reservation was at 7:45. We arrived 5 minutes early and were seated right away by the hostess who told us the waitress would come see us soon to open our wine bottle and explain the menu. The waitress came to see us exactly 30 minutes later at 8:15. She opened the wine and explained the menu to us but we were waiting for 30 minutes so knew the menu by heart and made our choices. I tell her we were ready to order to which she says she's gonna go serve a table and come back to us right away. She comes to see us 15 minutes later, meaning it took 45 minutes for us to place our orders meanwhile the table next to us was seated after us and they took their orders before ours. We received our appetizers at 8:45. Our main dishes were served at 9:30, one hour 45 minutes after we arrived. The table next to us arrived before us, was served before us and left before us. Yes the food was tasty and the presentation was nice but it does not justify the lengthy service provided at this place. It's a good thing we did not have plans afterwards or we would've had to cancel. We all felt neglected and wondered if it was because we spoke English amongst ourselves even though we spoke French to the hostess and waitress. My friends and I go out to eat every week and it is not normal to have to wait 30 minutes before placing your order and then receiving your main meal almost 2 hours later, that's just ridiculous. They really really need to step it up. Again, the food was good but not good enough to justify waiting all that time. Never going back and I suggest you don't go here if you're in a rush.
Went to Casey's for a late night snack this past Saturday with a friend of mine. Our waiter looked so annoyed that he had to serve us. He didn't even ask if we wanted something to drink. I had to ask for water. 2 different groups of people came in after us and I heard him tell the hostess "why do you have to put them in my section"...dude it's your job. Worst quesadillas I've ever had. Chicken wings were ok. Definitely not going back and don't recommend this place.
I had high expectations for this place and was disappointed. The guacamole is alright. The fish tacos are good but missing something and the steak tacos just ok, nothing special. Service was meh and the restaurant was more on the empty side. Sorry to say that I won't be going back.
Worst service ever. We got there at 6:55, ordered drinks and our meals at the same time. Took 10 minutes to receive our drinks. We were 4 and kept talking so didn't notice the time pass, 40 minutes later still hadn't received our meals, finally flagged down our waiter and all he said was "I'm so sorry that's why I wasn't on the floor, I'm in the kitchen pushing them"... seriously?? Another table close to us arrived at the same time and cancelled their order. We were starving so waited, finally arrived 5 minutes later and it wasn't even that great. They didn't even offer a proper apology. And then overheard the waiters complaining about customers complaining that the service was taking too long. Avoid this place at all cost.
3 of us went for dinner here last night, it was my first time and I absolutely loved it. We shared tuna tacos (wow) and prime rib sliders, for my main dish I had the teriyaki sirloin...one word: delicious!!! I also tried a piece of the blue cheese filet and that was delicious as well. Service could've been a bit faster but the waitress was very nice. Definitely going back!
Went last night with a group of 6 friends. Nothing special about the burgers. I've had better. Waiter was nice. Women's bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Floor was dirty and sticky...i partly blame the women for this...what the hell is wrong with you people that leave toilet paper and an empty tampon cover (yes that's right, I saw it on the floor last night) on the floor...but at the same time, it is a restaurant and it should be cleaned often. Never going back.
Went last night with a friend of mine. We ordered peanut butter dumplings, papaya salad, crispy sesame beef and crispy noodles with beef and vegetables, everything was delicious. One of the best crispy sesame beef I've had in a very long time. Service was ok, not too fast but not very long either. Restaurant was clean. Definitely going back!
Update. Went again last night (March13, 2018) with 3 friends- still as delicious as I remember it! Best tacos and churros hands down!!
Best carne tacos ever. Guacamole is delicious. Best churros ever. Great service every time I go. Never disappointed. Always leave wanting to go back.
Ate here beginning March 2016. Wasn't my first time
Sushi is fresh and very good. The staff is really nice. Definitely going back
I went for supper here last night with 3 friends. Im gonna start off by saying that the food is absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back however 40$ for the tasting menu is really overpriced when you literally each get 2 tiny pieces of the dishes. I have been to many other restaurants that have a tasting menu and they give more food than this and it fills you up. All 4 of us left there still hungry so I do not recommend taking the tasting menu if you actually want to enjoy the dish youre eating. Service between each dish also took time so that didnt help. Maybe we wouldve been more full if we received them faster and our stomach didnt have time to digest the previous dish. And then when we finished, it took a very long time to get out bills because the waiters were having their supper and werent paying attention to anyone else. The service needs to be improved.
Went for dinner here last night with 3 friends and we were a little disappointed. I heard many great things about their dumplings and frankly I was expecting more. We had fried chicken and coriander, fried beef curry, steamed chicken and mushrooms, steamed chicken leek and egg...the fried ones were good but the steamed ones were all stuck together which made it a tad difficult to pull them apart without it breaking, and the top part of the all the dumplings were a little hard. The taste of the filling however was delicious. We also had spring rolls that were cold, the coleslaw carrot salad was very good. The service not so great. They literally sat us down, gave us menus and came back like 30 seconds later to take our order, naturally we told the waitress we needed more time. I understand that there is a lineup but it's rude to try to rush people who are eating let alone people who just sat down! I'm sorry to say but I've had better dumplings and better service at another place and I highly doubt I will be going back here.
Second time I go to this restaurant with a cousin of mine. Loved it both times. The pikilia is really good and the portions of tarama and tzatziki are much bigger than I've had at other restaurants. The gyro is delicious and I love their pita bread. Fries are good as well. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating when we asked her not to bring our main meals until we had finished our appetizer. Definitely plan on going back!
I went to my cousin's son's first communion reception dinner at this restaurant on Saturday night and I was so pleasantly surprised. I am Italian and I usually don't go to Italian restaurants when I go out because I'm never really impressed but I must say, I was impressed! The pizza was so so good, the grilled salmon was delicious and my biggest surprise was the pasta, I have a very hard time eating pasta at restaurants because the sauce always tastes odd and/or fake and it usually gives me a stomach ache but their sauce was so delicious and fresh that I finished my plate which is rare for me. The staff and service was great as well. I definitely recommend this restaurant and plan to go back for more!
Last night 3 friends and I went to have dinner here. My friends have been going to this place for years and love it, I on the other hand only had Indian food once, 20 years ago and didn't enjoy it, however as of last night, I can now say that I love Indian food. We had the samosas, rice, butter chicken, lamb jalfraisi, chicken dhan saak, aloo gobi and naan bread...every dish was tasty and very flavourful, super yummy! My only complaint is that it was a little too spicy for me but I still managed to eat and enjoy everything. Service was just a little slow but ok. I will definitely go back :)
Delicious! Really good spring rolls. Loved the crispy noodles with shrimps. The grilled chicken and beef was delicious as well. Great service too :) definitely going back for more!
Went to eat here last night with a friend of mine. We each had a spring roll (size is much bigger than most Vietnamese restaurants I've been to), she had a soup, I had General tao chicken and we shared crispy noodles with chicken and vegetables. DELICIOUS! Our waitress was a sweet woman, great service. Looking forward to going back and trying different dishes. Only thing I didn't like is the fact that there is no music in the restaurant so it feels like people around you are listening in on your conversation lol
Last minute decision to go have dinner here last night with a friend of mine, was my first time eating at a Roasters and I was not disappointed! We shared an appetizers of calamari, very good and crispy. My friend had a rack of ribs with mac and cheese and said it was very good. I tried his mac and cheese and I liked it as well. I had the oriental salad with shrimps and I really loved it, ate the whole thing which is rare for me, I usually leave something in the plate lol he had a brownie for dessert and I had the red velvet cheesecake, huge pieces for both and taste was good as well. The waitress (Tania) and service was great. She was very nice and was honest in answering my questions. The resto itself is very nice. I'd go back.
I'm forced to give it a star otherwise I cannot leave a comment. I don't like leaving negative comments however after last night, I just have to. First off, service is horrible. Second, we were seated in a booth, the seat had broken masking tape holding the material together, the least you could do is cover it so it doesn't look tacky and run down. Third, the bathrooms were absolutely filthy, I know this is also due to clients who are disgusting but the restaurant should have someone go clean up every once in a while. Most disgusting bathroom I have ever seen. Lastly, the food. Oh boy. Maybe 2 out of the 8 different rolls we ordered were actually tasty, the others were tasteless and the pieces were all stuck together. We also ordered teriyaki beef and some kind of other beef, both dishes were awful. The beef left a terrible aftertaste in your mouth. Many many years ago I used to love the tempura scallops, not anymore. My friends and I left very disappointed and our stomachs felt extremely bloated the rest of the night. All of us are avid sushi lovers and have been to so many places and we never felt that bloated after eating sushi. This restaurant just isn't good and whomever thinks this is good sushi clearly hasn't been to any other sushi restaurants. Never going back. Ever.
Went for dinner here about 2 weeks ago with 2 friends. Was my first time going to eat dumplings, we had fried eggplant, steamed pork and coriander dumplings, steamed chicken and coriander dumplings, fried squid and pork dumplings and vegetable noodles, everything was delicious. Already looking forward to going back! Only thing I don't like is when they sit strangers at the same table, hard to have private conversations that way...
Went to eat here last night with 3 friends. The restaurant was completely full and unfortunately service was a little slow however our waiter was really nice and apologized for the delay due to big groups. Regardless of that, the restaurant itself is really nice. We had the fried calamari, tartar bombs, salad and 3 pizzas and everything was delicious! Definitely going back!
Just got back from having breakfast here with a friend. I had French toast with apple bacon & cheddar, the plate was garnished with a variety of different fruits and it was delicious! My friend had a spinach cheddar crêpe and said it was great as well. The service was great and the restaurant itself is very nice. Definitely going back!
I went to eat here about 2 weeks ago with a friend. We each had a different pizza and both were very good. We also had a Nutella crêpe for dessert and it was very good as well. Service was great and prices are fair. Will go back for more :)
I went to eat here last night with one of my cousins. Both of us are avid taco fans and have been to numerous places. We ordered carne, steak and sausage tacos, I must say they were all very good. The negative points of this restaurants are: service not so great, the waiter just set 3 different types of salad on our table without telling us the level of spiciness which led me to burn my tongue, another point for us was the fact that there is no guacamole or churros on the menu, their menu is very limited. Again, very good tacos and not expensive at all.
I placed an order for beef sautéed with vegetables and chicken chow mein for pick up Friday, September 2nd, very disappointed when I arrived at my friend's house and saw the very small portions. We were still pretty hungry after that. I've ordered from many other Asian places and their portions are much bigger than theirs. Not worth the money. ----
Great bring your own wine restaurant with great food and good service. Will definiely go back!
Went for breakfast this morning with a friend of mine. Beautiful restaurant, we chose to eat on the terrace which was practically empty when we got there. Couple seated close to us was seated after us yet they received their water and beverages before our order was taken. Both my friend and I had smoothies and a ham, cheese and asparagus filled crepe with potatoes on the side which was excellent. We were halfway done before the waitress came to check up on us, I then asked her for syrup which came a few minutes later. The food is delicious however the service needs improvement.
Had supper here last night with my cousin. Both of us love sushi and both of us were pleasantly surprised. I was hesitant to go since it's an all you can eat and usually these places aren't that great but I must say, after reading the reviews, I was not in the least bit disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasted great. Service was just as great. Already looking forward to going back. Please don't ever change the quality of your sushi cause it's the best all you can eat i've ever been to.
Was here with a group of 8 people last night. We took steamed dumplings and seafood pancake as out appetizers, delicious! Our main meals were also tasty. Service was great. The resto itself needs a makeover as it looks really old and it smells mouldy, biggest disappointment is that it's extremely hot in there, don't even know if they have AC and that's not very comfortable when you're trying to enjoy a meal with friends with wine...
I went to eat here last night with 3 friends. We shared a bunch of plates, everything was delicious! The pork belly buns and the papaya salad were my favourite!! The lobster noodles also delicious. Definitely going back for more!!
Had dinner here last night with a group of 10 people. We had so many different dishes and everyone really enjoyed it. We service was great. Definitely will be going back for more!
Not my first time going to this place. Great burgers, decent prices, great drinks, good service, fun ambiance. Never disappointed!
This was my 2nd time eating at this restaurant. The first time I went I found the sushis to be very tasteful but a little small in size compared to many other places I've been to. Our waiter that night was a little rude but I brushed it off and assumed he has having a bad day, which is still not a valid reason because he works with the public and should be nice to everyone regarless of his day. Anyway, at the end of the night, the chef/owner came to talk with us, very nice man who shows a lot of pride in his restaurant, his wife was equally as nice.
Second time I went was last night, the food was just as good, I tried several other sushis and enjoyed them all. The same man was our waiter and again he was rude. One of the friends I was having dinner with told me he had been a previous time and the waiter was extremely rude that night too, practically ripping out the menu out of their hands while they were still ordering food probably because it was later in the evening and about an hour or so to closing time...this is such unacceptable behaviour for a waiter, part of the experience and enjoying a restaurant comes from the service received and sadly the waiter in this place does not have people skills. I dislike leaving negative comments because the owner is extremely nice, the food is good, it's not expensive and it's a bring your own wine BUT that waiter makes me NOT want to go back. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE WHEN DEALING WITH CUSTOMERS. WE ARE THE REASON YOU HAVE A JOB IN THIS FINE RESTAURANT.
Had dinner here Thursday night with a friend of mine. Wow. Loved it! Will definitely go back
I've ate and done take-out from this restaurant numerous times. Being a huge sushi lover, I must say theirs is ok but nothing special. Their Asian food on the other hand is really really good. Excellent crispy sesame beef and general Tao chicken. Also love their noodles. The staff is great!
I love this place. I was already a big fan because I used to go quite often for sushi. This time I went to try out the all you can eat Korean BBQ, and I loved it!! There's quite a variety of meats and veggies you can choose from and they're all good. Short ribs are my favorite!! The only negative comment is that the sushi list in this all you can eat is too limited, would be nice to have a few more choices but I must say, even though it's limited, they're delicious. Service has always been great! I actually hadn't been in a while and the waitress recognized me, thought that was really nice, shows they pay attention to their customers! I Can't wait to go back!!!
First time at this place and although it's a small not very trendy place, the food definitely makes up for it. I have been to other Portuguese restaurants and always found their chicken to be ridiculously salty however paradis du poulet was perfectly seasoned and flawless. Our waiter was very friendly as well, good service. Can't wait to go back!
EDIT::: I recently went back (more than once) and I must say was really disappointed compared to the first time I went which is when I wrote my initial comment ...sadly the chicken is now very bland...service is still ok...not really a big fan of this place anymore
Went to eat here last night after the Habs game and I was pleasantly surprised. Yes the restaurant is a little old looking and not fancy but the food was really good. I made my own poutine with Philly steak and onions and I loved it. The cheese was fresh and there was plenty of sauce. Both of us really enjoyed our poutines and we will definitely go back. Service was a little slow but the waiters are very nice. Only down side is that it's really hot in that place.
Cute little restaurant with nice hostess/waitress. Service was good and the food was really good. Generous portions for the price. I really enjoyed it and will definitely be back for more!
After hearing positive reviews from this place, my friends and I decided to do takeout from here last night. We ordered 9 different rolls for a total of 54 pieces. The man greeting us was very pleasant, however the food lacks in flavour and was very bland. The pieces of the same roll weren't even the same size and they pretty much all tasted the same. Very disappointed.
My friend and I wanted take out last night and we decided to place an order and go pick it up at this particular place. We had spring rolls, general Tao chicken, orange beef and vegetable fried noodles and we loved it. Easily one of the best general Tao chicken I have ever had.
Well first off, we walked in and there was a hostess who seated us pretty fast. Our waiter was very friendly, service came pretty fast which surprised us both but the food was delicious. We both had ribs, I had mashed potatoes which I enjoyed very much and he had the fries and cole slaw which I have had in the past and enjoyed as well. I've been to this restaurant many times and have never been disappointed!
So I went here back in February and had a bad experience. Last night I went back and let me tell you, I'm a big fan of this place again. Everything was fresh and delicious. We were 5 and ordered 12 rolls, a sushi pizza and 3 appetizers and every single one of us LOVED the food. Service was good too. Added bonus: this is now a bring your own wine restaurant. Looking forward to going again!!
These were my previous comments:
I've been going to this restaurant for at least 3-4 years and was an avid fan of their sushi. I brought many many friends to this place and everyone was pleased...I hadn't been in at least 6-7 months if not more and sadly I was a little disappointed. I ALWAYS take the sushi pizza & dragon eye which were 2 of my all time favorite sushis, not only at this restaurant but of all the restaurants I've been to and unfortunately last night I was surprised, not only because they changed the look of the sushi but it just didn't taste the same. One of the girls that was with me was trying it for the first time and she wasn't impressed like all my previous friends were. The rest of the sushis were pretty good.
Had it delivered today, guy who answers phone got my address wrong and Sorry but worst sushi I've ever had.
Was trying to find an open sushi restaurant last night and every place I knew was closed and then I stumbled on this! I was pleasantly surprised, my friend and I both really enjoyed our selection. Only down side is that we waited over an hour for our delivery because the driver got lost!
So my brother and I decided to order subs for dinner tonight. Very disappointing. The taste was actually good but I swear to God the width of the sub was no bigger than 2cm. definitely not worth the money.
I've been to this place about 3-4 times mostly because it's close by and my friends don't eat anything but Italian food. As an Italian, I have to admit, it's good but it's certainly not as good as homemade. I'm a big sushi lover and theirs is really nothing special. Their tempura flakes remind me of Rice Krispies. The staff is friendly and the decor is nice.
I wouldn't say it's the best sushi I ever had but it's very good and the service was pretty fast. Our waiter had quite the sense of homour. Bonus points for being a bring your own wine place!
I went to this restaurant a few weeks ago and honestly I was not impressed. The octopus was good but the rest was less than impressive and the service was very slow.
I have one word to describe this restaurant: DELICIOUSNESS!
I've been to a few of these Kandas and this one is "the best". Service is pretty fast, I was surprised to see that this time they had French speaking waiters, I'm fully bilingual so it doesn't bother me but my French friend was very pleased. Their scallops, sushi pizza and beef teriyaki are really good. The rest of the sushis mostly taste the same. If you just want a quick "all you can eat" sushi fix than it's fine, however if you want really good sushi, I suggest you pay 5-10$ more and go to a higher end restaurant
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The staff is super friendly, the food is simple delicious. Best gyro I've ever had. Generous portions. Not a single bad thing to say. Always happy each time I go!
