I'm coming back to have dinner here, food looks delicious.
Barroco was phenomenal! Major kudos to Marc who runs their bar program & made fantastic cocktails. The beef tartare was the best we've ever had, hands down!
Always a lovely, cozy time at Barraco bar. Marc, our bartender, is talented & very knowledgeable. If the clever cocktail menu doesn't strike your fancy, his depth of palettes & flavour profiles will find the right notes to refresh you.
What a divine little restaurant. Had a lovely time having dinner at Barroco, the bar man was fantastic & so attentive. I had the leeks & scallops for entree, omgoodness - delicious! A must have. The flavours in this was something else. & the beef for main cooked to perfection again the flavours in the jus & puree was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Very nice selection of wines & cocktails aswell.
⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐?⭐? Best Meal in Montreal
An absolutely exceptional dining experience! The service was top-notch - our server was both friendly & witty, adding a personal touch that made the evening even more enjoyable. Every dish was perfectly seasoned & beautifully presented - from the gratin to the mashed potatoes, everything was spot on.
The fresh lobster salad was a standout, & the butter was so well blended it deserves its own spotlight.
Cocktail? Delicious.
Criticism? None.
We'll definitely be coming back.
From start to finish, our experience at Barroco was nothing short of incredible. The food was absolutely superb, flavorful, beautifully presented, & cooked to perfection. The drinks were just as impressive, especially the Cantaloupe cocktail, which was one of the best I've ever had.
What truly made the evening unforgettable, though, was the exceptional service. Our server (I wish I remembered his name, but we know he's from France!) was warm, knowledgeable, & incredibly attentive. Every recommendation he made was spot on. The manager also went above & beyond to make us feel welcomed & cared for.
Their hospitality left a lasting impression on me, & I'll definitely be back. Barroco, became one of my favorite dining spots out of all the place I being around the world.
Absolutely fantastic! Local ingredients from nearby farms with the most beautiful interior & vibe. Great cocktails too!
What an amazing little spot. We sat at the bar & Mark took excellent care of us. From cocktails, to appetizers & wine to entres. T'was an exceptional experience with amazing food & service. Would highly recommend.
Barroco was charming & romantic with great dishes & cocktails. The brioche starter with the garlic butter is something you can't miss, & the cantaloupe cocktail tastes like your biting into a fresh cantaloupe. Our server was very attentive & explained the dishes & specials very well.
I don't live in Montreal or Canada even but each time I visit, I come to Barroco. The cocktails are creative (Paper Crane & Echo Chamber last night) & the food was delicious. Above & beyond is the atmosphere & attentive service. Florian (so) was beyond nice & made the celebration of our nieces graduation even more special.
C'était extrêmement long & mou.
A very lovely dining experience! Made a reservation for my husband & I on a Thursday evening. The restaurant is very warm, cozy, & charming with stone walls, beamed ceilings, & filled with lovely antiques. We were seated at a cozy, corner table by the window. Our waiter was professional & personable. He was very present throughout our meal. We ordered two of their specialty cocktails, which were fantastic, & two apps (tartare & foie gras) & two entrees (duck & halibut), which were all divine. I HIGHLY recommend a wonderful time here!
Have been several times & this place is amazing. The food is incredible & the staff make sure you are taken care of. Definitely get a reservation & if you enjoy watching good cocktails getting made, sit at the bar.
Went there for my birthday, locals love it here.so had to give it a try. Live the rustic decorations. Small restaurant so make reservations. We started w paper crane cocktail ( a twist on paper plane) it was good but it looked like a 2 oz drink. The glass looked very ball. See photo In NY the get 4 oz drinks. Other than that the food is great. Ayube the waiter/Sommelier:/owner was very friendly n attentive. I got a nice sparklers w after dinner drinks to celebrate my birthday. Very cool.
Barroco was a delightful find. I was intrigued by the decor, & more importantly, the service was incredible. My husband & I started off meeting a wonderful waitress by the name of Alessandra. Alessandra was very helpful in choosing my cocktail for the evening along with our scrumptious dinner. Along with dinner, we wanted to order a bottle of red wine that would pair nicely with the paella we ordered. Alessandra immediately introduced us to a sommelier by the name of Phillip. He was definitely an expert in his field. Phillip shared his passion & experience in describing a bottle of wine that would make our palettes pop. We scored the best bottle of wine with our chosen meal. That particular bottle he chose was absolutely perfect. Thank you, Phillip, for helping us. The evening does not stop there. Alessandra, the waitress circles back to us & offers us a dessert menu. My husband & I had one glass, each of the red wine left to enjoy. Instead of dessert, we asked Alessandra if she could bring a cheese platter with brioche bread. She did just that. Phillip also circled back to us, & once he learned we were essentially having cheese & bread for our dessert with our wine, Phillip was very excitedand said, "Nice choice." Barroco, you have a wonderful restaurant, but what makes it even better is your staff offering their best cutomer experience. Thanks again for making every one of my husband's, & of course, my taste buds explode!!
One of the best meals we have had, not just in Montreal (we are visiting). We did the tasting menu, which was innovative but also classic. They also offer fantastic cocktails sans alcohol (get the Pampelmouse!!). The Quebec mushrooms, paella, & the guinea hen were our favorite savory bites (as well as the brioche), & the chocolate cremeux was a beautiful (& unexpectedly nuanced) finish. Execution was flawless across the board. Service was flawless & welcoming. The decor is fun & eclectic but cozy. I can't say enough good things!
