I don't live in Montreal or Canada even but each time I visit, I come to Barroco. The cocktails are creative (Paper Crane & Echo Chamber last night) & the food was delicious. Above & beyond is the atmosphere & attentive service. Florian was beyond nice & made the celebration of our niece's graduation even more special.

My wife & I recently dined at Barroco & had a wonderful experience. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived, & the staff made us feel genuinely valued. We will definitely be coming back!

Our final dinner on our trip did not disappoint! Barroco is a small, romantic little place. A petite menu with a little bit of everything. We enjoyed the homemade brioche with onion butter, roasted chicken & our favorites hand down was Braised Beef!
Barroco was phenomenal! Major kudos to Marc who runs their bar program & made fantastic cocktails. The beef tartare was the best we've ever had, hands down!

Barroco is a very charming restaurant in Old Montreal - super cute atmosphere, cozy, & the music was absolutely on point. The place itself has a really nice vibe, perfect for a romantic dinner or a night out.
Unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the food. I ordered the ribeye, & even though I specifically asked for medium, it came way overcooked. The meat was dry & lacked flavor - honestly very, very mediocre for the price. The bill was also quite high, which made the whole experience even more disappointing.
If you decide to go, maybe try something other than the steak, because unfortunately, that was a big letdown.
What a divine little restaurant. Had a lovely time having dinner at Barroco, the bar man was fantastic & so attentive. I had the leeks & scallops for entree, omgoodness - delicious! A must have. The flavours in this was something else. & the beef for main cooked to perfection again the flavours in the jus & puree was delicious. Highly recommend this place. Very nice selection of wines & cocktails aswell.

The atmosphere is charming & has an inviting, cozy feel - perfect for a romantic date night or an elegant night out. Every dish is a true delicacy, crafted with finesse & plated to perfection. Service was stellar.

We had one night in Montreal. Barroco had great reviews & did not disappoint. Three of us had the braised beef & I had a duck breast special. There was not a morsel left. To start I had oysters & others had the scallops. Both were winners. George our server was terrific. It's a little pricey but for one night! Great wine list. I'd go back for sure.
Tout y est charmant. Design boisé comme dans un chalet avec assiettes vintages en porcelaines accrochées au mur. Lumière tamisée, musique entraînante. & petit bar au fond du restaurant de moins de 10 places. C'est un mélange assez éclectique qui vous attend au Barroco.
La cuisine y est délicieuse avec des produits de qualité & de choix, avec des protéines toutes locales. Elle se réclame gastronomique & du sud de la France. On y retrouve de la ratatouille ou encore de la Chartreuse.
Le grand plus : les sauces! ! Elles sont à tomber. Travailler comme jamais comme le veux la cuisine traditionnelle française.
Je recommande à 1000% de goûter au Suprême de volaille au foie gras & jus de chanterelles. Un pur délice....🫠🤤
I haven't personally dined here, but I am impressed by the ease, speed, & professionalism in getting gift card issued & delivered. I am located in Calgary, & was looking for a gift card as wedding gift for my friend in Montreal. I even received an email confirming when the gift card was claimed. Impressed! Had been browsing other restaurants in old Montreal & their gift card process wasn't nearly as efficient as Barroco's system!
Our experience at Barroco was outstanding! Service was fabulous, the drinks were unique & delicious, & the food was really tasty. We got the braised beef & the halibut. The brown butter halibut is a must try. We also loved the mezcal espresso martinis for dessert. The ambiance made for a cozy but elevated night.

Always an incredible experience at Barroco! The food is unmatched, atmosphere incredible, service is top notch. Has been our go-to spot for our anniversary every year. Highly recommend!
From start to finish, our experience at Barroco was nothing short of incredible. The food was absolutely superb, flavorful, beautifully presented, & cooked to perfection. The drinks were just as impressive, especially the Cantaloupe cocktail, which was one of the best I've ever had.
What truly made the evening unforgettable, though, was the exceptional service. Our server (I wish I remembered his name, but we know he's from France!) was warm, knowledgeable, & incredibly attentive. Every recommendation he made was spot on. The manager also went above & beyond to make us feel welcomed & cared for.
Their hospitality left a lasting impression on me, & I'll definitely be back. Barroco, became one of my favorite dining spots out of all the place I being around the world.
This was my second time visiting Barroco, & my husband's first. The service was impeccable. Our waiter & the manager were very friendly & they gave us good recommendations. The atmosphere of this restaurant couldn't be any cozier. It's beautiful with its stone walls & decor. The food & my margarita were 10/10. This is also the place that changed my mind about oysters, which I now love! We will absolutely be back.
We had a great night this past week at Barroco. Atmosphere is unique, historic & super cool. It's not a big place but it's a great environment. Phillip & his team took good care of us. They were friendly & attentive. The food was great.
Barroco was charming & romantic with great dishes & cocktails. The brioche starter with the garlic butter is something you can't miss, & the cantaloupe cocktail tastes like your biting into a fresh cantaloupe. Our server was very attentive & explained the dishes & specials very well.
