The Keg Steakhouse + Bar a ouvert les portes de son premier restaurant à Vancouver en 1971. Ayant pris de l’expansion au Canada et aux États-Unis depuis ses débuts, il compte maintenant plus de 100 adresses. Bien que son nom et son décor aient changé au fil des décennies, l’expérience gastronomique est restée la même à ce jour. The Keg a toujours eu pour priorité d’offrir à ses invités un service exceptionnel et des mets de qualité dans une ambiance où il fait bon se retrouver.

Qualité, confort et valeur sont donc les trois ingrédients qui distinguent l’expérience Keg de toute autre dans le domaine. The Manager Pierre-Alexandre Themens is the best Manager that I have encountered in years. We had 6:00 reservation & unfortunately the had run out of prime rib. Pierre-Alexandre came over to our table & explained what had happened, he was very kind & comped us some wine. Even when we were leaving he was at the door & apologized again. We felt he went above & beyond to make our evening more enjoyable. Food was excellent even without the prime rib. Thank you

While the quality of many restos deteriorate, as prices escalate, The Keg has risen to the occasion, enhancing their dishes with the most delicious baked beets, tasty mushrooms, & homemade bread. The 10 oz. prime rib with the horseradish condiment was excellent. To summarize, I can't remember the last time I had such a good meal; well done & bravo to Keg ! Service was friendly (Get Eddie) & professional, & prices were more than competitive compared to other restos in the same category.

So we went there last night on Friday night December 12th. We went for a late supper. We got there around 9:30 I believe so when we got there we didn't have any reservation. But the young lady at the door was very helpful in finding us a table within a few minutes. She invited us to go have a drink at the bar, which we did. Meanwhile waiting for our table. I was happy they had Bumbu rum & my son had one of they're featured drinks on the menu. It was a Gin basil lemonade I think either way they were both very well made. Very good drinks. Our table was ready before we got served our drinks. That's how fast it was. We had a nice booth & a corner with a view of that fireplace, the restaurant, the bar, television...It was really really comfortable.
So my son ordered the prime rib 14 oz with the grilled vegetables. I had the 10 oz filet mignon & we asked for....he wanted it rare.... I wanted mine medium rare & the cooking was spot on PERFECT?? It was perfect. The food was very good. The plate presentation & quantity(see pics)....Everything was excellent
Especially the service....o m f g...the reason I gave a five score is we were served by Alycia P & thanks to her I'm giving five stars. The service was impeccable. It was as if we were royalties. She was really really good. Very professional, polite & beautiful .There was nothing I could say. There's just perfect service. Perfect perfect service! So if you're going & you're lucky you'll be in Alycia's section 🙂
Either way though I know Alicia gave 100% service which was the reason I made it at five ⭐ but.... the food was also excellent. The seasoning on the filet mignon & the size, the quantities. Like I said, I also had a Monte Carlo potato which is very much suggested btw ..So look at our pictures. We'll show you a couple of pictures of our food & stuff & our drinks & of course I recommend you go there. Obviously this place is really really good......It's you know... one of those rare restaurants where you can still get a great meal with great service & a great setting & also they have everything there. They have the whole combination so you definitely want to go. This is a if you haven't been or if you're not sure where to go, don't question yourself go here KEG RESTAURANT FAIRVIEW POINTE-CLAIRE you won't regret it & once you had a great meal write a nice little review to show your gratitude... It helps them out & it's an honest review...so go check it out...NOW! hehe
Stop procrastinating invite a friend, your sister, your mother, anybody ...your neighbor go alone even or if you have a couple of friends go eat there.... Go try it! There's one at Fairview Mall we went to in Pointe-Claire & we were lucky enough to be in Alycia's section so not only did we get amazing food but we got their best employee for table service & also the table was even amazing like where we were sitting. So go to the Fairview Mall. It's on the Southeast corner of the building FAIRVIEW POINTE CLAIRE. Can't miss it, Won't regret it!

Waitress was really kind & helpful. The food was sub par… double baked potato was dry & a little on the stale side. But the prime rib was delicious! A little overpriced. The restaurant also had a … smell… I won't be returning here. Benches or carpets definitely need a cleaning..

High-end steakhouse that offers more affordable steak prices compared to 40 Westt while tasting the same. Service was really good & staff was friendly. Recommend the New York Striploin if you want a classic steak or the Prime Rib if you want to try a more rich & juicy, oven-roasted steak.

Went back today, celebrated our anniversary & couldn't ask for a better time. This time I gave 5 stars across the board, music volume was just right & we were able to have a conversation at the table. Calamari were outstanding, cooked to perfection. Prime rib was amazingly tender, lobster tail super tender only thing the rib tips, little dry. & finally we go to Marty, he was outstanding & on top of everything, thank you Marty, you made our 42nd wedding anniversary a wonderful celebration

Honestly super disappointing experience. Never ever order the prime rib. Whatever they served me should have never left the kitchen. That was just raw. They tried to fix it by just tossing it on the grill to cook a bit more. But that was one of the worst pieces of meat I've ever had.

There are so many better restaurants in the city for the money.

Rest of the meal was good, but man what a let down.

I can't stop thinking about going to the Keg. The prime rib & the garlic mash are living rent free in my head.

I had called at 15:14hrs to inquire if it would be possible to order a blue or rare piece of prime rib. I was assured, enthusiastically, that it would NOT be a problem. Unfortunately, the prime roast was only available starting at a medium; I was not a happy camper. I would have eaten somewhere else that had roast beef. However, the Keg is the Keg & my rib steak (Pittsburg style) was textbook...brought a tear to my eye! The salade, the side veggies, & twice baked potatoe were as perfect as could be. Added bonus was our Server, Sarah. Amazing customer service & articulate. Note: if you want a more intimate setting, perhaps the dining room would be more suitable. The bar area is a true round table pub/happy hour setting.

We had a great dinner there on a Friday night. We made reservations as it is always busy on the weekends. We chose from the "Keg Classics", on the menu (which comes with your choice of salad & accompaniment). You have a few choices for meat. We took the prime rib (10 oz), which was cooked to perfection (medium rare). With that I had the iceberg wedge with blue cheese dressing (that was much larger than I thought it would be, from photos I'd seen in the Google reviews), that also had small pieces of tomatoes & bacon bits, & a small container of additional blue cheese dressing on the side), & also the garlic mashed potatoes. The prime rib also came with some mushrooms (that had been cooked in something very flavorable), & some "onion crisps(?)". The meal was preceded by a very large square of some type of bread, that was denser than regular bread, & very good (that came with some flavored butter) that was meant to be cut up & shared. We also ordered, as appetizers, the chicken wings, which were good, & also the mushrooms Neptune (mushroom caps filled, & topped, with a light, whipped, flavorful cream cheese/crab mixture), which was excellent, that came with a smaller personal-size version of the bread you get for the table & some butter. Everything was great. The service couldn't have been better. Our water was always topped-up, & our waitress always checked to see if we needed anything, which was amazing considering how full the place was.The only mistake we made was ordering appetizers as well as the meal. We couldn't finish all of our meal. But they will give you "take-home" boxes, that you fill yourself, if you ask. No complaints whatsoever. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Came in at 7:00 p.m. & they tried to get me the last slice of prime rib a 20 minutes later apologized & said that it was taken by another order, they gave me an upgraded rib steak & it was very good.

Well ...It was my 1st time at the KEG in Pointe Claire...& I thought I was eating in a Dungeon..A Dark almost setting...Service was okay...But the Food I ordered was not what I thought...The Prime Rib Was almost raw & difficult to Cut...& lots of Fat around it...Wasn't impressed...Sorry...Avoid it ..Take another Steak that can be cooked well done..

Consistently great food & service at the Keg - & this location was no exception! Great Prime Rib & wine selection, along with yummy appetizers to share. Can't wait to return!

3 of us went for dinner here last night, it was my first time & I absolutely loved it. We shared tuna tacos (wow) & prime rib sliders, for my main dish I had the teriyaki sirloin...one word: delicious!!! I also tried a piece of the blue cheese filet & that was delicious as well. Service could've been a bit faster but the waitress was very nice. Definitely going back!

The food served is unimaginative, standard "Pub" fair with upscale decor & unfortunately an upscale price. The service was pleasant. The bill for my wife & myself (BEFORE) tip was $94.28 which included two mains & an one espresso, no alcohol or dessert. My prime rib roast beef was the "classic" with the larger 16oz size portion ($37.00). The plate arrived with beef looking like it was hacked off the cow with a blunt knife - an uneven slice. In addition, there was 30% fat & the Keg's version of au jus which tastes like canned beef broth with red wine - real "classy". I've been to the Keg restaurants in Ontario & have enjoyed the food much more, perhaps the quality control has to be tightened.

Hot water, cold food & horrible service. Don't waste your time or hard earned money. There are far better & much less expensive steak houses in the West Island that offer friendly service.
My husband & I both ordered the prime rib. I asked for an end cut with vegetables. The meat was 50-60% fat. When I mentioned this to the waitress, with no apology I was told that was what I could expect from an end cut. The vegetables constituted peppers, 2 very small pieces of asparagus & a couple of pieces of zucchini soaked in oil & served cold & undercooked.

My husband ordered onion soup as an appetizer but the main meal was served within two minutes of the appetizer so he had to make a choice which part of his meal he wanted to eat while it was somewhat hot.

The waitress was curt throughout the meal & presented the bill & stood at the table with her debit/credit machine waiting for immediate payment as if it was an great inconvenience for her to make a trip back to the table.

All the staff were chatting with each other throughout the whole experience & paid little attention to the customers. We left without any comment...no goodbye..have a nice evening...or thank you for coming.

This was definitely the worst $100 spent on a meal in a long time.
