Il est possible de réserver le restaurant au grand complet, uniquement le dimanche, pour un minimum de 80 personnes.

It was good, but to be honest, I expected more. My steak was medium, not medium rare as requested, but I was starving & didn't want to wait for a new one, it was tender & delicious though. We also found the portions to be small, for example the soup was a small cup & the steak brochette, there was only one brochette. Our server was friendly but slow & needed reminders to bring stuff that we asked for, including the wine menu. I found it odd that they did not bring us the drink menu until we asked & I was halfway through my meal by the time my wine came, though I had ordered it a little while before the meal came. I had already ordered a cocktail, but would have tried one of their unique drinks if I had've been given the menu in the first place. The bathroom was a mess, but otherwise the atmosphere was nice & the jazz band was a really nice touch.

We went for lunch, to celebrate my husband's birthday. I had the best meal I've had in a while. Halibut with lemon creamy pasta. He had the pepper steak, we both had the wedge salad with Caesar dressing. Dessert was dulce de leche cheesecake. We thoroughly enjoyed everything, & had fantastic service from Natasha.
40 West is a beautiful steakhouse. As you pull up in the parking lot, you immediately sense that you are in for a rich experience before you even step in the door. The building itself is adorned with massive windows & the entrance is flanked by massive pillars giving it the feel of a Greek coliseum. Upon entering you are greeted by large brick archways that lead to the different seating areas of the restaurant.
My party had a reservation for 8 & we were seated within 10 minutes of our arrival. It's always nice to not have to wait when you have a reservation.
Our table was clean & nicely set. Our waiter, whom I neglected to get his name was prompt, professional & informative. Drink service was quick & bread brought to the table quickly.
For starters, I ordered the tuna tartare. I was served a healthy portion with two croquettes & some string potatoes that were extremely thin & crusted. The whole dish was very good, however the tuna has slightly to much sesame oil mixed in but still tasted good & was fresh. Paired with the croquettes & the salty string potatoes produce a wonderful little bite, that has some kick to it as well.
For the main I elected to have an 8 ounce filter mignon & for my side I added the truffle Mac & Cheese.
The steak arrived perfectly cooked to a medium rare, seared, salted & peppered. Extremely tender & tasty. Clearly a very high quality cut of beef. The truffle Mac & cheese was excellent served with little sea shell noodles that were perfectly el dente. Very creamy sauce with a hint of tomatoes & the truffle oil was the perfect level.
The service was good through out with our plates being cleared quickly & our table kept clean from crumbs. Our waiter was attentive throughout without being over bearing.
If you appreciate a fine dining experience & enjoy high quality steak houses you will not be disappointed with 40 West. The ambience is great with just the right amount of light & music is in the background & not blasting in your ears & you can enjoy conversation throughout your meal.
This was a great place for our party but would be perfect for a date night as well with several 2 seat tables available.
Overrated steakhouse. The tomahawk lacked flavour & the Caesar salad was blah & underwhelming. The grilled asparagus was nice, though.
Bottomline, at this price point, you can easily find better steak in Montreal unless you intend to absolutely avoid the city & are stuck in the West Island.
Overrated. I know this restaurant has a great reputation, which is why we were invited there by our friends today. But they managed to burn my ribeye steak (I ordered it medium rare!), & it came with a baked potato that I had to load with butter just to be able to eat it.
Honestly, you don't get the value for the money. Maybe it was a great restaurant in the past, but now it feels overrated. We also noticed that the servers were quite full of themselves - ours came across as arrogant, which is not something you often expect at a high-end restaurant.
Our'go-to' resto on the West Island!!! Never dissappoints! *Chef's Kiss* impeccable service from reception to wait staff & sommelier!!!! Food is always on point.
This is the most exquisite hidden gem in the West Island. The food was divine, the service TOP NOTCH & the atmosphere... is just Wow! One of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever been to. The architecture in this place is on another level. So nice to see an exhibition kitchen with so much staff & open concept. My Filet mignon & my friend's cowboy steak was grilled to perfection. This is now my new go to place. What impressed me the most is seeing all these patrons conducting business & at the same time so many personal events going on. A beautiful evening. Thank you.
One of the best steak houses in Montreal. Food quality is at its best, service is always on point .
Amazing live band in the bar lounge section. Our steaks were cooked to perfection & the Chilean sea bass was delicious.
