The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. Although its name and décor have changed over time, the dining experience has always stayed consistent. The Keg’s focus has been, and continues to be, on providing exceptional service and quality food in a comfortable atmosphere for its guests.
Quality, comfort and value are three key ingredients that make The Keg experience unlike any other. When it comes to steak, The Keg serves only the finest cuts, aged for tenderness and seasoned with a unique blend. Classic cocktails, delicious appetizers, succulent seafood, and an outstanding wine list round out its classic menu. The Keg’s friendly and knowledgeable staff creates an atmosphere that encourages guests to enjoy, relax and be themselves. Whether you’re getting together with friends or celebrating with family, you’ll always be welcomed with a smile.
Overall, The Keg is a solid choice for steak lovers, with many visits featuring flavorful, well cooked steaks, reliable sides, and attentive service in a warm, lively setting that suits celebrations as well as casual dinners; guests frequently praise the consistent quality, strong bar scene, and friendly staff, with several standout moments where staff went above and beyond. Some visits are affected by crowded rooms, noise, or slower service, and a few meals miss the mark on doneness or seasoning, leading to mixed experiences. Price can be a consideration, but many feel the value is fair for the steakhouse experience, and reservations are recommended at peak times.
My partner & I went there this evening to celebrate our anniversary & we had a wonderful time. The food was delicious & our steaks were cooked perfectly to our liking. What stood out the most was the service. What was impressive was the team work amongst the waiters. As soon as we were seated we were greeted a waiter who said that our waitress was named Kelly & she would come to see us soon. Kelly was great! Attentive & answered all of our questions. When she was busy, her co-worker would step in & clear our plates or offer us more bread even if he had his own tables to attend to. You can see that they support each other when busy. Service like this makes a huge difference in the entire experience. At the end the gave us a free dessert to celebrate our anniversary which was very much appreciated. We will definitely go back again.
I went the other day with a friend, it had been a little while since I had been. They have a very decent happy hour with good prices on wine & drinks. We had the beef sliders from they're bar menu, we also had the tuna tartare. Both were excellent. The staff was also very welcoming & professional. I'd say probably one of the better places to grab some drinks & food in the west.

I have enjoyed dining here &, having experienced the Keg across Canada for the past seven years, I believe it consistently offers some of the finest cuisine in the country.
Eric served us. What a service! Thank you sir! Steak cooked to perfection. Fairview The Keg is at the top, baby! People coming from everywhere with plates of food & a smile. What else you want
I do visit this location often. I love the wedge salad & the appetizers. It's a hit or miss when it comes to the cooking of the steak. On a table of 4-5, often, you'll have an either overcooked or undercooked steak. Regardless of that, they are always courteous, polite & quick to fix it & that's the reason I really like this place.
Disappointing evening at the Keg Pte Claire for my mother's birthday. Spent a few hundred bucks & left with mixed feelings. While the service & my steak was good, the rest was a bit disappointing. Ordered a caesar salad to start, it had barely any vinaigrette, nothing else but parmesan on it & most of the salad wasn't fresh. It's probably one of the worst caesar salad I've had, it's usually a pretty safe dish. My son had a plate of veggies with his kid meal. Th carrots were huge, he couldn't bite into it, I had to cut them again & the celeri was full of dirt from where it grew. Not impressed. I had the rib steak for the main which was really good but the side of veggies tasted nothing. All this to say that it wasn't a terrible experience but when paying a few hundred bucks for a meal you expect a certain quality in the food & it was simply not there. It was my first time at the Pte Claire location & not sure I will go back, had much better experience in Laval & Downtown Montreal. Not the type to complain at the restaurant or to leave reviews for a matter of fact but the fact that I woke up the next morning wondering if I should have brought the family elsewhere made me do it.
Marty was our waiter & was great.Food was excellent & manager was courteous & because our table was 30 minutes late gave The girls complementary glasses of wine.
We had a great dinner there on a Friday night. We made reservations as it is always busy on the weekends. We chose from the "Keg Classics", on the menu (which comes with your choice of salad & accompaniment). You have a few choices for meat. We took the prime rib (10 oz), which was cooked to perfection (medium rare). With that I had the iceberg wedge with blue cheese dressing (that was much larger than I thought it would be, from photos I'd seen in the Google reviews), that also had small pieces of tomatoes & bacon bits, & a small container of additional blue cheese dressing on the side), & also the garlic mashed potatoes. The prime rib also came with some mushrooms (that had been cooked in something very flavorable), & some "onion crisps(?)". The meal was preceded by a very large square of some type of bread, that was denser than regular bread, & very good (that came with some flavored butter) that was meant to be cut up & shared. We also ordered, as appetizers, the chicken wings, which were good, & also the mushrooms Neptune (mushroom caps filled, & topped, with a light, whipped, flavorful cream cheese/crab mixture), which was excellent, that came with a smaller personal-size version of the bread you get for the table & some butter. Everything was great. The service couldn't have been better. Our water was always topped-up, & our waitress always checked to see if we needed anything, which was amazing considering how full the place was.The only mistake we made was ordering appetizers as well as the meal. We couldn't finish all of our meal. But they will give you "take-home" boxes, that you fill yourself, if you ask. No complaints whatsoever. Wouldn't hesitate to go back.

Great experience, especially service wise. David, our waiter, was amazing! He was funny, attentive, & detail-oriented. The only downside was that my calamari was overcooked/chewy & not very flavorful, but the portion was a good size. Everyone else in our party enjoyed their food.
We come to this restaurant not only for the delicious food but specifically to be served by David. He's a lighthearted, funny, & polite waiter who consistently provides exceptional service. Every time we visit, David makes sure we feel welcome & taken care of. His friendly & attentive nature enhances the entire dining experience. Highly recommend asking for him if you want to have a great time!

The ambiance was great , although I ordered blackened chicken, it was not blackened chicken, no spice whatsoever, not even pepper, the manager came he said the spice was inside, no it was plain not inside I would have seen it , tasted it, laughable, please I've had chicken before, this was plain baked chicken, no spice at all! If the waitress had come back at anytime I would have told her, she came back after every one had eaten, I'll take it home for my dog! If there was an option I would post a pic of the chicken, anyway, don't order the blackened chicken ! Never again!
Souper d'équipe des ventes mazda 220,je peux pas donné 5 étoiles comme l'année dernière, queue dhomard vraiment petite, a peine 4 mini bouchées & mon filet mignon n'était pas aussi tendre que mes autres visites. Le reste all good
Came in at 7:00 p.m. & they tried to get me the last slice of prime rib a 20 minutes later apologized & said that it was taken by another order, they gave me an upgraded rib steak & it was very good.
