It was my first time eating at the Keg I've orderd the filet mignon bacon, i enjoyed & liked my food, Restaurant it's pricey but for the food it's worth it of trying the restaurant. If it your first time at the restaurant the server will explain you the menu SERVICE A1 I will return again to the Keg to try their cotelette de porc
Always a great service, the food is also consistent. They will go all out to make sure you have the best time. Also the location is gorgeous which is a big plus
Repas délicieux, toujours aussi bon! Service à améliorer, on venait de finir notre entrée, la serveuse en les ramassant nous demand si on veut le repas principal, on dit dans 10 minutes on nous dit que les assiettes sont déjà prêtes, pourquoi nous poser la question alors? 😮💨 À la fin de notre repas, on nous demande si on veut finir la bouteille avant de partir, ça fait 1h qu'on est arrivé, on s'est senti pressé dès le début, je ne reviendrai pas à ce keg... Au prix que cela coûte c'est la moindre des choses de ne pas se sentir pressé tout le long..😖

Merci à Alex, un serveur qui aime son métier! Rien à dire, service impeccable, serveur sympathique & rigoureux. Le repas de tous était top (le miens également). Mention spéciale pour la surlonge terriaki. Un délice! Merci encore pour la crème brûlée pour l'anniversaire de mon conjoint, très bonne! Une très belle soirée dans un bel endroit.
Sat in the lounge Feb 15th for a 9pm reservation. I wish we remembered our server's name but he was wonderful! We were sat on time, in a booth, which I asked for in the reservation notes. $150 for rib steak, 14oz prime rib & sangria pitcher before tip. Quite pricey to me but I don't go to these type of places, I was given a gift card, so maybe that's on the cheap end of steakhouse prices? I'll leave that for you to decide. I'd definitely go back if given another gift card (or if I had the money to spare) & I must say it was the best steak I've ever eaten! Perfectly rare throughout, verging near blue rare close to the bone which is my preference. Their steak knives are incredibly dull though, pretty difficult to cut with. Sangria pitcher was huge & strong for the price. My partner liked the prime rib but said he preferred the steak I ordered- from trying the prime rib, it was a bit dry & I wouldn't really recommend it if you're craving steak. However it was the last of that size for the night, so it's probably better earlier in the day. The red wine sauce was great. Again, our server was absolutely fantastic & made sure the kitchen had the prime rib in the size we wanted. So in short, if you're comfortable with the price, I'd recommend this place.
Had a great time today trying this place. The food was delicious, drinks was great & waiter was very friendly & kind. Definitely coming back again to try more food & maybe I'll get dessert since this time I was full from the drinks 😋
The food was exactly as expected. Good steaks ! The service was average. The food came quickly ! The place is pretty ! They kept that old Montreal feel !
Exvelleny service, excellente nourriture & excellente ambiance. On ne se trompe pas jamais avec vos restaurants.
We celebrated my husband's birthday last night at The Keg. This was our first disappointment at The Keg The restaurant was empty. Our waiter, Daniel, was excellent & very attentive. The sour bread was spectacular, as was our appetizer- the Blue Cheese wedge salad. My husband & our friend each ordered the steak with a lobster tail. I ordered the prime rib. We all requested medium rare beef. Although the meat came as requested, the rib was dry, with no juice & cold. Both men mentioned the lobster was delicious, but their beef was tough. Daniel surprised us with a delicious Mocha ice cream birthday wedge for dessert, which was very much appreciated. This was the only time in decades that we were disappointed in The Keg.
My favorite Keg to date! My friend has a mushroom intolerance & not only did the waitress ensure that this was passed onto the chefs, two managers came to check-in with us & re-assure us on the avoidance of cross contamination. It was truly impressive! The food was also cooked to perfection from our drinks (margaritas, espresso martini, Caesar), appetizers of roasted cauliflower & mains. Will definitely return, even for a drink in their bar/lounge section which has a very nice ambiance & vibe too.
The Keg in Old Montreal is fantastic. I've eaten here many times & will certainly be back. The food is great & not overpriced & the service & atmosphere is excellent too.
