Excellent food. Service was really good even after our server had a large table seated in his section. We had the Tuna Tartare & the Calamari to start which were great & the 10oz Filet for our mains & they were cooked to perfection. One of us had the prime rib which was also cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
Great steak place. We ordered the côte de boeuf (10 oz), surlonge, & the salmon plate. Everything was excellent-from the salads to the side vegetables & fries. We finished with dessert: the Tarte Billy, an iced mocha dessert, which was the perfect ending. Highly recommend.

Excellent service, great food, very friendly & helpful staff. One person in our party safers from a serious allergy but they managed to get her a full 3 courses meal with no hesitation.

Been to many Kegs before but this one tops it! Usually you get a very corporate environment but the one in Montreal Vieux port had a very cozy feel to it & a different interior design. The staff was very friendly & welcoming & the food was excellent! I am not a steak guy but had to pull the trigger once i saw the'Chicago style' which basically add a mildly burnt crust with a perfectly cooked medium rare interior - it was the perfect Christmas dinner! Highly recommend this location 10/10

We tried a few dishes & everything was amazing.
The New York Striploin was cooked perfectly - juicy, tender, & full of flavour.
The New York Peppercorn was also delicious, especially with the creamy peppercorn sauce. Definitely one of my favourites!
We had a bottle of La Petite Perrière Pinot Noir (2024) with our meal, & it paired beautifully with the steaks.
For dessert, we had the Billy Miner Pie, & it was the perfect finish - mocha ice cream, chocolate crust, fudge, caramel, & almonds. So good!
Overall, great food & great service. Highly recommend trying both New York steaks & ending with the Billy Miner Pie!
I went to the keg for my brother's birthday. Was AMAZING!!! Service was great & the food too. It was a bit noisy but still extremely good, I seriously recommend this place. I think if you are trying to choose a place definitely choose here except maybe not if you're vegan or vegetarian
Probably the best blackened chicken I've ever had. The service was first class & they treat you like gold. The best I've seen while in Canada . The bartender needs a raise!! I'm here on business for a few days from Wisconsin & this is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I highly recommend this place if you visit Old Montreal. I'll be back.

We were immediately asked by our server Anthony, if we were celebrating anything, we were celebrating our 15th anniversary. We were treated amazingly. Food was amazing the staff was all very nice. Anthony made the dinner extra special for us & we would recommend trying this restaurant if you're in Old Montreal. The building itself was originally built in 1856.
The Keg in Old Montreal never disappoints! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm & attentive. The ambiance perfectly blends cozy & elegant, with beautiful stone walls & low lighting that make it feel extra special.
We ordered the filet mignon & rib steak ; both were cooked to perfection & full of flavor. The sides were just as impressive, especially the garlic mashed potatoes & seasonal vegetables. The cocktails were also excellent, & their wine selection paired beautifully with the meal.
What really stood out was the service , our server was friendly, knowledgeable, & timed everything perfectly. Whether you're celebrating something special or just enjoying a great night out, The Keg in Vieux Montréal is a top-notch choice. Highly recommend making a reservation!
In our first day in Montreal we weren't sure what to eat, finally we decided to stop at this restaurant, highly recommended it the steak was delicious & silky.

Le serveur était proactif, s'assurant que tout était ok pour nous. Grand choix de viande au menu & la cuisson du steak que j'ai commandé était parfaite.
Nous avons même eu droit à un dessert gracieuseté de la maison à la fin du repas.
Top 3 one of the best steakhouse in Montreal, all beef are dry aged to the perfection with a very good portion of food, you will not leave this place hungry, that's for sure. Overall, service was impeccable with a very chill atmosphere! Highly recommend the rib steak
Atmosphere is great & our server Ian was super helpful & nice. My boyfriend speaks french & I speak english so he was serving me in english & as for my partner , he was serving him in french which was very sweet of him. The food was really good but I wouldn't recommend the Iceberg salad considering it's an iceberg lettuce cut in 1/4 topped with ingredients. Thank you for the great experience :)
