Amazing food, great presentation & experience. However with the high price point you are paying for perfection, we got the extra Kobe beef option, & seems they overcooked my steak (ordered medium well, but came completely grey cooked). We were four, one of us did not order champagne, they still served the champagne, said it was a gift, but then proceeded to charge us for the glass, also you would expect the tea to be complimentary for the dessert, like in other Michelin we have been prior. Lastly, I am a little disappointed that there were no themes presented with the food, they just said what the food was, but not why it was served, from which region, & any symbolics behind it.. Apart from that it was very enjoyable. The lobster was the best I have had yet.
We tried the Midi Gourmand lunch menu for $50, which is a great price for a Michelin-starred restaurant. The space is beautifully decorated, elegant, & in a great location.
However, I was hoping to be more surprised by the food. The appetizers were overly salty, the fish was nicely seasoned, & everything else was just okay. I've had better elsewhere. The utensils looked cheap & scratched, which felt out of place for this type of restaurant.
Overall, a pleasant experience but it didn't meet my expectations. I'll try a different menu next time.
I wonder how this place earned a Michelin star. I went for a lunch with a group of friends. Everything we had was way too salty & the lobster was overcooked. Everyone in the group was very disappointed with the food.

We went to Europea to celebrate my wife's birthday, expecting something special from a Michelin-starred restaurant. It was a major letdown.
We regularly dine at Michelin-starred restaurants, even traveling out of state just to experience great food -- so we know what to expect at this level. Europea didn't come close.
There were flies around our table, & the food was bland & repetitive -- most dishes were overpowered by parmesan foam. We ordered what they had to offer as their best, yet we couldn't taste the lobster in the lobster dish or find crab in the crab dish. My wife even found a shell in her lobster cappuccino. The manager gave a weak, dismissive apology.
Despite mentioning it was my wife's birthday in the reservation, to the hostess, & to the server, no one acknowledged it. Not even a candle.
For such an expensive & hyped place, the experience was disappointing. It honestly feels like they got their Michelin star for presentation, not flavor or hospitality.
We've had far better meals at places like Papito & Foxy. Europea looks impressive -- but that's about it. give me title
Everything is premade, the emphasis is on the show,,the spectacle, the vessels… not on the food itself. We had no vegetables whatsoever in all services. I'm now doubting the standards of Michelin. Very disappointing!
Amazing, incroyable!
I would give this place a 3.5/5. For a Michelin star awarded restaurant, the repeat of the same sauce in many dishes were disappointing. The service is very fast & mechanical which is unfortunate. The cotton candy at the end is fun, & some dishes have unique presentation, & the food is okay.
This was the best restaurant I've been too. I would give 3 Michelin stars, if I could. Try the brioche bread , it's amazing 😍
We've been to many Michelin star restaurants in Paris & I came to Europea 9 years ago. But this visit we had today at Europea was extremely disappointing. The service was straightforwardly bad, so many things I can almost write an essay here but I don't want to elaborate on them because it's too much of a waste of my time. Actually to be more specific, the gentleman in chefs clothes is quite nice. But the servers in suits, man, I thought the tall slim guy who helped us was unprofessional enough, & then later an elder one was just straight up rude.
When we were in Paris & experiencing different Michelin star restaurants, we had fun discussing, okay this restaurant is good in this aspect, & that one is good in another aspect. But Europea? We literally don't know how it got the star. The service is worse than most of the restaurants in Montreal & the food is not even that good. There's no refreshing food to balance the greasy. Just greasy greasy greasy from beginning to the end.
The cotton candy is not even pink any more, that was the signature thing for Europea back when I visited 9 years ago.
Overall, we won't come back to this restaurant again.
French restaurant at its best (sauce, taste, texture, l'art de la table & du service) with a taste of Quebec 💕. I have dined at the bistrot Beaver Hall, a very nice experience. Never dined at Europea, the gastronomic restaurant just next to it. I can definitely see this restaurant win Michelin star(s), but how many can he get? Let's see next year Q2 2025.
Like all aspiring Michelin star restaurants, a lot of what you get are esoteric dishes paired with theatrical performance. You pay exorbitant prices for the show. Not something one does on the reg.
If Montreal had Michelin, I don't think this place would earn a star. I have been to many Michelin Star restaurants in US, France, to name a few. This place needs to do better obviously. Food is inventive. We tried the 8 course menu & there were a few items that had food combinations of flavors. But none of them came out impressive. Service is good but servers did not take time to introduce the origin or other interesting aspects of the dish. Instead, they just went over what the dish was - it's hard for guests to appreciate the chef's creation in this way. Expect 3 hours for the tasting experience
Definitely a Michelin star restaurant. Great presentation & creative menu. Server was knowledgeable & professional. Highly recommend.
