Food & concept was spot on. Service was the worst I've experienced at a Michelin.
Odd experience. I thought I had booked for the pre-show supper, which I had on a previous occasion & enjoyed. However there was a mix up & even though I asked several times that this is the pre-show meal & they said yes, we were served the 10 course tasting menu, which I had many years ago & did not like but we said ok well let's just go for it since they had already sat us at the location of the restaurant that serves the tasting menu. I figured they no longer served the pre-show meal but later found out they do. Personally, I found the tastings on the rich side, & therefore not to my taste & I don't care to have a'show' or'experience' along with my meal. However, the biggest disappointment was the service, it felt very robotic, the food was explained very fast & it felt rushed most probably because they knew we had a show at 7:30pm. As I was leaving the hostess asked if I enjoyed my experience & I kindly told her there was a mix up & would of liked the pre-show instead & she really got upset & kept defending herself on how it was not her fault. I was a bit in shock & wasn't saying a word but she kept going on, to the point where I had to leave with her continuing to talk back at me. For these reasons I will not return. Just make sure you book with the correct restaurant when you reserve, I think there are 2 or 3 under the same name, it's very confusing.
Nourriture très bonne. Service rapide & amicable. Très bon service en général. Le restaurant est magnifique & propre.
be careful
we had a shocking sommelier who refused to explain the wine flights (it was'too complicated')
& then he became aggressive when i explained my wife was registered blind so needed a bit more light
he ruined an otherwise lovely evening
little short guy with a pony tail
hope you can avoid him - wish i'd got his name
I had high expectations coming here, & unfortunately the experience was quite mixed.
Upon arriving, I had to wait at the entrance for quite a while before anyone acknowledged me & showed me to my table. Throughout the meal, the dining room was also uncomfortably warm. Even sitting still, I was overheating, & several members of the staff appeared to be struggling with the heat as well. Better air conditioning would have made a noticeable difference.
Service started off poorly. My main server wasn't particularly welcoming or engaging, & when I mentioned that my churro appetizer tasted burnt, he simply smiled without really addressing the concern. There were also several service missteps throughout the evening. Staff often seemed disorganized, almost as if they were still finding their rhythm. I was served the bread course twice, one course arrived without cutlery, & my server frequently reached across me to place items on the table, making the service feel awkward. Ironically, one of the younger servers provided some of the best service of the evening. That said, I really enjoyed how each course was written down & explained for guests to follow along, with cue cards provided for each course.
The food was inconsistent. The burnt churros were disappointing, while the mac & cheese was very good. The pork had a nice texture but was noticeably under-seasoned & lacked flavour. The standout of the evening, however, was the lobster. It was absolutely exceptional & quite possibly the best lobster I've ever had. Also, I felt some of the plating was extreme, way too elaborate for the size of the table you were eating on - sometimes simplicity is best.
There were also a few issues with the dining room itself. The seats weren't particularly comfortable, & the drawer built into my table unexpectedly fell out. The staff couldn't get it back in, which was more amusing than anything else.
To their credit, the service improved as the evening went on, & the staff seemed more settled by the end of the meal.
I spent over $600 on dinner, so I don't think my expectations were unreasonable. At a Michelin-starred restaurant, I expect polished service, attention to detail, & consistency from start to finish. While the lobster was memorable enough, too many aspects of the overall experience fell short of the standard I was expecting.
Madly overrated if you ask me. Premium ingredients yes, great presentation, very sophisticated techniques, great for impressing the masses but not for me.
Both for lunch & for dinner, the experience is amazing. The staff is extraordinary, & the food is excellent. What really stands out is the presentation & attention to detail in every meal.
Attached are photos of the lunch & dinner .
I strongly recommend !
EDIT: we went back in 2026 for dinner, & still har an incredible experience. The food was incredibly tasty, but it really is the presentation that steals the show. Strongly recommend for a date night or a night amongst friends & family.
