Both for lunch & for dinner, the experience is amazing. The staff is extraordinary, & the food is excellent. What really stands out is the presentation & attention to detail in every meal.
Attached are photos of the lunch & dinner .
I strongly recommend !
EDIT: we went back in 2026 for dinner, & still har an incredible experience. The food was incredibly tasty, but it really is the presentation that steals the show. Strongly recommend for a date night or a night amongst friends & family.
After a friend recommended this place less than a year ago, I was so excited to take my mom here for her birthday but I was left disappointed & literally sick. From reviews & photos I had seen, they had a course menu for $100/person, as well as other options & a full menu. When we arrived, the menu was presented to us with a set of courses at 195$/person & that was the only option. We chose the Kobe beef for the main course & didn't know it would be an additional charge of $45 person… yet another charge we were not expecting when the bill came. Maybe there was a miscommunication. The food itself in my opinion wasn't anything amazing. Service was good. I was really disappointed to pay x3 times what I was expecting. After leaving the restaurant I felt nauseous & threw up all my food within 20 minutes. I wish we were better informed of the menu changing.
What an experience! I've always enjoyed French cuisine as we don't have much options back in Calgary. I've always liked trying chefs tasting menus - bonus points if it doesn't charge you an arm & a leg & it's not pretentious in any way. & a Michelin star restaurant too? Jerome Ferrer's Europea fits that criteria perfectly.
I assume their menus changed seasonally, & I quite enjoyed our lunch on our June 2026 visit. They have two lunch options - $60 & $90 - $90 being the gourmet option with lobster, veal & foie gras enhancements. It was five courses in total - every bite from the welcoming snacks to the dessert was made with a lot of thought. I enjoyed every single bite - everything was flavorful. The veal was made tableside - I asked our'chef' why it was done tableside & he said it was for a show to the diners. He did an excellent job. Services was also really good from the waitstaff - friendly, enough but never intrusive. I also mentioned it was my friend's birthday & they completed the meal with cupcake + candle + Birthday props. We loved it.
I truly recommend anyone to have a meal here. I know I will return the next time I'm back in Montreal.
Such an incredible experience. Every course had a beautiful story behind it & incredible complexity in flavo. Staff were all so knowledgeable & welcoming. This was most definitely a highlight of our trip to Montreal & I'd highly recommend this experience to anyone.
For a Michelin starred restaurant I expected a lot more. If you like theatre, great, but even that is not very well executed. The food was fine & inventive but I can't say that anything really blew me away, & this after 10 courses. The service felt rushed & extremely impersonal, with our waiter literally slamming down dishes in front of us. I wouldn't recommend it, nor would I go back. It all felt very cold corporate. Meh.
As a one Michelin star restaurant, I expected a more refined & seamless experience, but unfortunately it did not fully meet those expectations.
The ambiance was lovely & the concept of the restaurant was clearly well thought out. The dishes were well executed & enjoyable, though not particularly exquisite or memorable at the level one might anticipate for this distinction.
The service was inconsistent. The rotation of multiple servers made the experience feel less intimate, & our main server was noticeably less attentive & polished than her peers. She came across as cold & unwelcoming, & at one point threw the receipt onto the table instead of handing it to us, which felt abrupt & disrespectful. This significantly detracted from the overall experience.
There were also a few noticeable oversights. One of the maple syrup desserts was initially left out, & we were already presented with the receipt. I had to point it out before she asked whether we preferred to have it served immediately or take it home. As the experience already felt somewhat cut short, we chose to take it to go. We were also served the apple trompe l'oeil without a spoon, which added to the sense of disorganization.
For a one Michelin star restaurant, there is certainly more to be desired. While I would not necessarily recommend it to everyone, I believe many guests may still appreciate the ambiance & overall concept.
We went for a special occasion, & left extremely disappointed. Trusting that the restaurant was a Michelin, it was extremely unprofessional & unusual to see the food & service was anything but. It felt like our waiter was in a constant rush, feeling very irritated & hostile towards us- especially since we did not speak the local french language. The food was not was not up to a Michelin star restaurant; it was bland, basic, & ultimately left us all feeling blatantly ill & sick once we left. Very heavy palate & just repetition of the same foods in different dishes, while trying to make it fancy. ! Wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anyone & definitely do not believe it should be labelled under a Michelin.
