The food was delicious, & the service was excellent. Our server was friendly, attentive, & made the experience even more enjoyable. I really appreciated both the quality of the food & the hospitality. The only minor downside was the strong oyster smell throughout the restaurant, which felt a bit unpleasant & gave an impression of being less fresh. Otherwise, it was a great dining experience.

Depuis Ma première visite, ce restaurant est devenu l'une de Mes adresses favorites pour le dîner. J'y retourne maintenant au moins une fois par mois avec des collègues ou des amis, & la qualité est demeurée constante à chacune de Mes visites.

La cuisine est tout simplement succulente. Les plats sont toujours savoureux, préparés avec soin & magnifiquement présentés. La carte offre suffisamment de variété pour avoir envie d'y revenir régulièrement, & Je ne suis jamais repartie déçue.

L'intérieur est toujours aussi magnifique, avec une ambiance élégante & chaleureuse. Les banquettes & les fauteuils sont très confortables, ce qui rend l'expérience encore plus agréable, que ce soit pour un repas d'affaires ou un dîner entre amis.

Lors de Ma première visite, J'avais noté un petit accroc au niveau du service. Je tiens toutefois à souligner que toutes Mes visites suivantes ont été irréprochables. Le service est maintenant constamment attentionné, professionnel & efficace. Un point que J'apprécie particulièrement est que, lorsque Je précise être pressée, l'équipe s'assure que le repas & le service soient complétés en moins d'une heure, sans jamais donner l'impression de Nous bousculer. C'est un énorme avantage pour un lunch en semaine.

Au fil de Mes nombreuses visites, Le Pois Penché est devenu une valeur sûre. La qualité de la cuisine, l'efficacité du service, le confort des lieux & l'ambiance en font une adresse que Je recommande sans hésiter.

Pour Moi, c'est définitivement un incontournable pour un excellent dîner, que ce soit entre collègues, entre amis ou pour impressionner des clients. Une adresse qui mérite amplement sa réputation.

This used to be one of my favourite restaurants but I think there has been a change in management because the restaurant has lost its elegance & taste of food is subpar. Today was my last time at this restaurant.

Not to many options on the menu. Service was good & food was okay but not outstanding compared to the price.
Also very overpriced food & dinner plus they charge 5$ per piece if they are cutting a birthday cake which I find expensive

My daughter treated me dinner at le Pois Penche for our last meal in Montreal. We tried the Dine Early Menu 5-5:45p

Each dish is execute very well given the price point. We ordered the cod cakes & escargot as appetizers & 2 duck confit.

I think it is better than most places in Toronto that offered Summerlicious & Winterlicious menu.

Our server is also very attentive & friendly.

Overall a very enjoyable dining experience for the both of us.

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner. I had halibut & my husband had duck. Both were delicious & a good amount of food. Atmosphere was nice & service was top notch. Also had a great wine list.

The restaurant's location - just a short walk from the museum - makes it an ideal stop in one of downtown Montreal's most beautiful pockets.

From the moment I sat down, the service distinguished itself. The waiter introduced himself briefly at the start, & when I was leaving, he still remembered my name. That small gesture made the experience feel personal rather than transactional. Throughout the meal, the service was warm, attentive, & quietly precise - the kind of hospitality that doesn't need to announce itself to be felt.

🐟 A Dish Remade With Care

I ordered the Atlantic salmon (saumon de l'Atlantique). It arrived more rare than I prefer, & I ate about half before the waiter came by to clear the plate. When I mentioned it was a bit too rare for me, he didn't hesitate - he offered to redo it immediately. The kitchen didn't simply adjust the doneness; they remade & replated the entire dish.

It didn't feel like a correction. It felt like receiving a second full meal, prepared with the same care as the first. That level of thoughtfulness left a lasting impression.

Le Pois Penché leans heavily into seafood, & both the patio & interior reflect a classic French brasserie spirit. The patio, especially, feels like a slice of Paris tucked into Montreal - elegant, lively, & unmistakably European. Indoors, the dining room is refined without being stiff.

The combination of attentive service, genuine hospitality, & a welcoming atmosphere made this lunch exceptional. It's the kind of place where details matter, & where you feel taken care of from start to finish. I would return without hesitation & recommend it wholeheartedly.

service impeccable, qualité des plats delicieux excellent! Aussi bon a regarder que bon à deguster du debut a la fin! Cela fesais 10 ans que je netais pas retourné du que jy habite loin mais je ne suis pas déçue d'avoir fait la route ce soir!
Très grand choix de vin aussi & nous allo s y retourner ce ne sera pas notre dernière fois!
Encore un gros merci a kevin & son equipe qui a fait de notre souper une belle soirée en amoureux 🥰 sortie de couple avant le spectacle d'évanescence au centre bell!
