Hiatus has quickly become one of my top 3 restaurants in Montreal, offering an unparalleled dining experience from the 46th floor. The jaw-dropping views & soft, ambient lighting create a magical atmosphere, perfectly complemented by top-notch service & extraordinary cuisine. While it's nearly flawless, the dessert menu could benefit from a bit more variety—perhaps the addition of a luxurious crème brûlée or a unique Japanese twist on a mille-feuille. Overall, it's a 10 out of 10 experience that shouldn't be missed.
La vue & le décor était fantastique ! Le service était impeccable & amical. Ils n'ont pas hésité à répéter trois foirs la description des plats parce que je n'avais pas bien compris tout les éléments. La nourriture est d'une qualité exceptionnelle & l'expression expérience gustative prend tout son sens.
Memorable experience! I recommend going during sunset hours, you'll get to see the whole city during the golden hour with a perfect view of the sun setting over the mont Royal!
The food was just marvelous, with an adventure of different tastes brought by their delicious sauces! Excellent!
In terms of service, 10/10 the personel was always here before i could think of needing them to refill, take out plates, etc.
The staff gave perfect description of their excellent cuisine, allowing us to enjoy it even more. I would recommend anyone to go live the experience of the Hiatus!

Notre expérience au Hiatus était vraiment parfaite. De l'endroit, à la gastronomie, en passant par le service. Nous y retournons pour toute occasion, ou juste pour le plaisir, sans aucun doute :)

Hey! For the food... it wasn't the best & there is absolutely no selection. I would update that for next time. Other than that, WOW! I didn't want to leave. It was AMAZING!!! Thank you for the GREAT welcome & service!!!! Loved my experience, definitely coming back :)
Once again, an amazing evening at Hiatus!! First of, the space never fails to deliver with incredible 360 views & sunsets over the mountain. But mostly, service never cease to get better. You can tell the whole team are all industry profesionals & seem to have a beautiful chemistry between them, which makes the service all the more enjoyable. Claude (wine expert) always remembers what we had the previous time & treats us with genuine care everytime. The wine list is also incredible! Claude, Oli, Pago, Cedric, & the whole team, Thanks again for everything!!
I’m pretty sure like everyone else I found this cafe through tiktok. A lot of people have been complaining about the location & how it’s complicated getting in. It is true but once you figure it out you’ll laugh at yourself for being confused all along. DONT listen to google or the maps app. If ur taking the metro get off at McGill , walk towards the huge circle ,pass the circle, go up the stairs, pass the colourful terrases that’s there & you’ll see “ banque place marie” something go in there, take the elevator to the 8 floor or D8, you’ll see a fancy hallway, take the elevator again to 45th( it says hiatus next to it in the elevator) & you’ll finally be there😂
After having a bad experience with a reservation when the restaurant opened, the manager reached out to us to fix the situation. We finally got to try Hiatus & it was one of the best dining experience we’ve had in a long time.
Thanks to all the staff with their personalized & fun approach while delivering a perfect service.
The food was great, both creative & tasty in a perfect mix of flavours all with a perfect wine pairing.
