There is no other place like Haidilao. It's very tough to walk in so highly recommend making resos a week in advance.
Haidilao has cult-like status & I cannot recommend it enough. Bring a crowd, eat a lot, have fun & enjoy the unique atmosphere.
Personally, it's turned into an event of its own.

The service was alright, maybe it was just an off night. We had a birthday at our table that we told the waiter about but there was no singing or candle on the dessert. The service here compared to the ones in Toronto is a bit lacking. We also had no meat tongs until the dancing noodle guy came & took some to stir the noodles in our broth.
Nonetheless good food & clean sauce bar !

By far the best hotpot in Montreal! Great selections of meats & other dishes, & the service is always on point, Miller was our server, she was nice. You get free ice cream too at the end👌🏻

J'ai adoré cet endroit. Ils sont plein de petites attention pour qu'on se sente bien. Pendant que nous attendions notre table, on nous a offert des craquelins/chips (excellent!!) tellement une idée géniale! Le personnel est super gentil, la nourriture est excellente!!! La propreté est hors norme! Jamais vu un tel niveau dans un restaurant aussi achalandé. Les toilettes sont hyper propres & sentent bons. & pour la première fois de ma vie j'ai vu cette pancarte (voir photo) dans les toilettes. Trop génial!!! Tout tout tou pour passer une excellente soirée!!

Bouillon tom yum, champignon & bouillon pimenté à l'huile de graisse de boeuf sont super!
Bouillon tripes de porc est bon mais goûte la ferme/cheval?
Un peu over stimulant au niveau de la musique & de l'espace. Mais sinon c'est super bon! & le staff est efficace

Update: Charles from Haidilao Montreal reached out & apologized for our experience. I appreciate Haidilao Montreal taking our feedback seriously. I hope future diners experiences will be better than ours!
I hate writing this review but this is by far the worst Haidilao my partner & I have been to. The Markham, DT Toronto, & Scarborough locations are far superior. We both did the 31.99 evening all you can eat. We started eating at 10:08. To start the waiter did not check in on us once the entire meal & we did not get meat tongs until 20 minutes into the meal. Our broths were not refilled the entire meal & we were basically cooking with tomato & mushroom sludge by the end (added photo). Additionally, some of the all you can eat items were not refilled once during the entire meal leaving us missing out on some items.
The worst part is that we still had over 15 minutes left (1 hour & 30 limit; my partner timed it) & he came over & turned off our burner while we were cooking something. Didn't ask if we were done & didn't give us any warning.
We were the only table in his area doing AYCE & we were the only ones ignored. He filled the other tables broth & poured them water.
Beyond the table service the kitchen & hostess were both great. The food came out fast, the food itself was great, & the hostess was really nice when we came into the restaurant.
We won't be returning to the Montreal Haidilao but we will go back to the ones in the GTA.
