Haven't been back in a while but Haidilao never disappoints! The food quality is always really good & fresh, I highly recommend the Sukiyaki broth :) Our waiter Steven was incredibly nice & attentive too!!

Steven was a great server! Attentive & made sure our experience was as enjoyable as it could've been. The quality of the meat is great & the soup bases are delicious.
We came for supper & the food (vegetables, fake crab, & c) was dry & old, like it stayed out in the open air for 2 days. Also, the beef was more fat than meat. For the price we paid, we were hoping for better quality food.
3rd time back here. High quality food coupled with high quality service from Steven. Not too noisy & nice ambience with little booths to sit in. We were too full to order but the hand pulled noodles are made in front of you like a mini show & the team is really skilled! Free ice cream for dessert! Excellent choice for celebrations.
Favourite hotpot place in town. Good quality meat, good variety of choices (meat, veggies, sauces, etc) it even comes with a show (1 noodle dance, face mask change dance). Our server Steven was attentive, respectful & friendly, making sure our empty trays were taken care of, fat of the broth skimmed & we had enough broth throughout our meal. Can't recommend enough!

If I could, I would give 10 stars for Stevens service. We've been to Hai di lao in Vancouver & In Asia before but his service was the best of them all, he was attentive, kind & funny. He's definitely an asset to your establishment & I hope everyone their understands that. The food was just as amazing, top tier quality meats. Thank you Steven, we'll be back soon!
Came here when they had just opened & it was absolutely excellent. Oh how they've fallen.
Service: rushed & no one seems happy to be there - cleaning team was just chucking dishes around making tons of noise. Server only came once to skim the pot - didn't change dirty plates, nor check in regularly. Another one noticed it boiled down & topped it off.
Food: quality has also gone down.'Signature' calamari tasted like fish sticks (probably co-fried). Beef was stringy & more than 60% fat. Doesn't justify the ~$150 for two people. The ones in China are much, much better. Oh & the tip screen now starts at 18%.

We were served by our waitress Emily who was phenomenal! Really just the sweetest, incredibly nice & checked on us frequently! The staff is amazing & so generous. We shared some laughs & the food was just of the highest quality & flavor. Delicious! Would recommended 10/10
Keira was the best! She was always there to help us with any questions we had. Very vigilant, fast speed, 5star quality service with a smile every time she came to our table. We have never had a better experience at a restaurant before. On top of everything, the food was delicious

Something I love about Haidilao is their consistency when it comes to quality of food & service, had a chance to eat in Haidilao Philippines & I can say that there is no difference at all!
I went to their Montreal branch last Saturday, & for someone who knows how long their wait time for walkin can take regardless of the time of the day I made sure to reserve a table.
We went there earlier than my booked reservation but they accomodated us, just needed to wait 30 mins before we were seated to our table.
From the time you enter their resto they will offer snacks, fruits, drinks, activities non-stop just to ensure that you will not get bored.
Upon being seated we were given the'essentials' - hairtie, wet wipes, glasses wipes & apron & asked to login to the tablet since I'm already a member. We were seated on a table at the 3rd floor, initially I thought service might have delays since kitchen was on the 1st floor BUT orders arrived less than 10mins!
What separates them among all other hotpot is how they let you customized your orders based on your preference, like I really love their Sichuan spicy soup but I always request for it to be less numbing & less spicy. They also have LOTS of varieties when it comes to their hotpot ingredients, majority of the balls are handmade & not the frozen hotpot balls that you can find on grocery stores. The quality of meat is exceptional, top choice will be beef as it really does melt in your mouth!!!
Though it has an additional price, their sauce bar is also worth it.
We tried the'popular secret code' regarding their soup but instead of a soup base we were given a bag full of snacks!!!
Another worth mentioning is their washroom, hotpot soup & sauce can leave strong smell so they have creams & even listerine available in all washrooom!
Hope to try mooooore Haidilao branches & continously be amazed with the quality of food & service they offer.
Amazing restaurant. Best quality of food. Everything is fresh. The restaurant even add a nice touch if you go there to celebrate birthdays (it was not expected). Our server Alvin is friendly, patient & has great sense of humour. He explains the menu very clearly & detailed. We will definitely go back again & again even we are from the West Island.
This particular store reminds us of the reasons why we fell in love with Haidilao in China, before they came to the States & tarnished the name with poor, slow service. The Montreal franchise really lives up to the original intentions of the founders with high quality food & service. Jess is, hands down, the best server we've had in years, attentive & consistent even after we paid early in a rush to get to another event. As a tourist, I didn't think our favorite restaurant in Montreal would be at a chain we've frequented all over the world, but we're definitely coming back whenever we visit Montreal!
