We have been loyal customers for years at Haidilao but a recent experience was truly disappointing. Disregard the removal of membership free drinks & late night student discount, the soup base was fishy & service was downgraded. Took the kitchens more than 15min to bring food to the table while fried rice was stick together in chunks - clearly stale. With respect, I here request an explanation form the restaurant since we have witnessed the service deteriorate over time.
I'm just glad that we finally have Haidilao in Montreal. Haidilao is hotpot chain that is well known for their food quality & top notch service. The broth, the meat cuts, the vegetables & seafood are just so fresh & tasty.
The service at Montreal location is getting better everyday. The food is also very fresh with great variety. Today service & food are just amazing. We were seen & accomodated by great staff, especially shoutout to Jason!

Absolutely a must-visit. The staff were so kind & helpful, the food was delicious, & the service was really fast. We opted for the all-you-eat special, with some extras like the noodle dance. The kids were amazed. They also gave little Haidilao lego sets to the children; very cool.
Lo, Jason & the rest of the team are the best. Their service is perfect. I highly recommend you to come see them & the food is very good. They will take care of you.

Steven a offert un service exceptionnel. Il est très accueillant, souriant & attentif aux détails. Ça fait vraiment plaisir d'être servi par quelqu'un comme lui
The experience here was quite disappointing. After being seated, I waited nearly 10 minutes before someone came to explain the buffet menu. Even then, the explanation was unclear, & I was left confused about how vegetables were included in the buffet options & wasn't told I should get vegetables from the self-help station.
The service overall was very minimal & lacked attention to detail. No one asked about allergies or dietary restrictions, which is a very basic expectation in a dining setting. Additionally, I was not provided with separate food tongs for handling raw meat, which felt unprofessional & raised concerns about food safety & hygiene standards. I was also served shrimp without being provided gloves to peel them, which made the dining experience inconvenient & uncomfortable. This is a small but important detail that reflects the overall lack of attentiveness in service.
Overall, the service did not meet the level of professionalism expected from a restaurant experience.

The service is really good I went for my birthday & Steven the guy in the third floor helped us so much, especially my mom & brother who were there for the first time. Definitely 10 out of 10!

I had a pleasant experience at Haidilao for my birthday. They celebrated with the staff & offered dessert, which was very nice… especially if you come in a big group. :)
Don't forget the secret codes! Overall, it was a great experience, & the food is delicious. Don't forget to check out their Instagram for their monthly promotions, it's so worth it!
