The Keg Steakhouse + Bar opened the doors of its first restaurant in 1971 in Vancouver. Since then, The Keg has expanded across Canada and the US to include over 100 locations. Although its name and décor have changed over time, the dining experience has always stayed consistent. Le KEG ne réussi plus à faire leur côte de boeuf au jus comme y'a une quinzaine d'année. La qualité n'est forcement plus la même, la technique de cuisson non plus, la tendreté n'y est plus, & la viande arrive trop souvent tiède voire même presque froide. Ma conjointe & moi avons retourné notre côte de boeuf pour cette raison. Elle nous a été remise presque pareil. Déçu... surtout compte tenu du prix élevé.

Le service & l'ambiance est très chic.

Tout était excellent, un sans faute! La côte de boeuf au jus était carrément fondante & les crevettes gratinées présentaient vraiment une cuisson parfaite. Décor trendy, serveur connaissant bien ses produits & bonne cuisine. Mis à part l'interminable attente pour une table le samedi soir (1h45!!) & la facture quoiqu'un peu lourde (mais anticipée lors d'un repas de qualité dans un steakhouse), ça valait assurément la peine.
