Gon Bui is a new Chinese resto-bar inspired by the lost temples in China. Gon Bui means 'Cheers' in Cantonese. We create our own new-Asian tapas dishes, inspired from traditional with a playful twist.

Surprised by the high rating. Maybe reviewed by people who don't know Chinese food. Almost everything we ordered is deep fried, even though the original dish shouldn't be. Food is mediocre at best.
The food was really good, they had gluten free options which I liked. I had the Hong kong curry & the espresso coco martini & it was delicious. My only down was the fact, the AC was wayyyyyyyyyyy too much & I booked this place because of the decorations in the center ceiling & the ambiance but when we got there everything was taken off. It was a simple ceiling with a gigantic hole in the middle, they tried covering it by putting a lantern here & there but the main reason I booked this place was for this. But overall staff was really nice & the food was great.
I was looking for a brunch spot in Laval & this came up in a tastet list. Was intrigued by the purple panko ube photo.
Their brunch menu stands out from other brunch chains.
At first we weren't sure we arrived at the right spot because only the logo without the name appears on top of storefront.
Glad it wasn't crowded, & no waiting like other brunch spots.
Service was good. The place looks nice.
Tried the general tao waffle & two version of the panko. The ube is mild, not too sweet. The mango is really sweet like a dessert.
Quelle belle découverte sur le boulevard le Carrefour. Nous avons passé une excellente soirée dans une ambiance très chaleureuse.
Tout était absolument délicieux & la présentation est soignée. Mention spéciale pour les cocktails, notamment celui avec la garniture colorée sur le dessus, qui était aussi beau que rafraîchissant. Chaque plat arrivé à notre table était savoureux.
C'est une adresse que je recommande sans hésiter. Nous avons déjà hâte de revenir pour essayer le reste du menu.
Very tasty sushi. Good place to go with someone, date or business. You can order combo or by the serving of sushi & sashimi. Somewhat expensive. More for a special occasion than a quick meal. You can bring yor own wine or sake.

Les repas étaient délicieux, bien servis sans être trop, la présentation très élaborée, le service remarquablement attentionné.
L'ambiance est très confortable, avec espace juste entre tables & pas bruyant du tout! (C'est vrai que c'était en milieu de semaine, alors, il n'était pas bondé!)
Nous avons passé un moment agréable entre amis, pouvant papoter tranquillement en dégustant un bon cocktail!

Cher, juste bon, service très moyen & ambiance je pense que cela dépend de la place que l'on a dans la salle où sur la terrasse : musique trop forte & assez décalée par rapport à la thématique.
Nous avons choisi ce restaurant parce qu'il était le premier à sortir pour options végétaliennes. À notre arrivée, le serveur ne connaissait pas ces options. À son retour, il nous annonce qu'il n'y a que deux options dont l'une sera servie sans sauce, uniquement sel & poivre. Le repas s'est avéré, sans surprise, décevant.
Les banquettes étaient dures comme si nous étions assis directement sur le bois.
Nous avons fait des demandes à plusieurs reprises (une fourchette, un verre d'eau, emmener les entrées ensemble puis les repas principaux, …) mais le serveur ne venait pas nous les porter. Nous avons dû demander à un autre serveur.
La nourriture comme les dumplings aux crevettes était délicieuse mais le service a vraiment laissé à désirer.
