We had a lovely night. All the dishes exceeded my expectations. I feel full but not overwhelmed. Highly appreciate the effort of every staff to deliver such an amazing experience. The only thing that I would like to feel better about is at one point, we could hardly hear each other talking. Wish we were seated on the other empty side of the room or had more spaces from other groups of customers. Will definitely come back.
I wanted to love Mastard so much but there are just too many issues. The food is tasty but the timing, portions, attention to detail need to be improved. For instance, we got the wine pairing but our waitperson would consistently pour our wine 15 min before the course it was meant for arrived. By the time food arrived, the 3 oz pour was gone or not at the right temp anymore. Another example: the portions are tiny & spaced with more than 20 min between courses. The same course can arrive at the same table in wildly different sizes. Lastly, the wine pairing consisted of mostly Eastern European wines...about as good as it sounds. Also, just know that looking at the pics of the food, the portions have gotten smaller with time (very similar dishes but with 3 then 2 & now one scallop). Maybe by the time you read this, there won't be any scallops left!?

Truly a must for experiencing some of the best dishes you've come across. We were delighted by every course, & the service was above & beyond - great to have the kitchen staff introduce each dish. We also received a mini menu with purveying details & a date stamped cover - neat takeaway.
Great service & food. Would have been a nice touch to substitute the meat-based side dishes (ex. Lamb sausage) from the pescaterian alternative menu rather than not serving it. Overall a great experience & would come back
Amazing & creative dishes. Delicate tastes & combinations. Excellent wine pairings. The amuse-bouche was the least interesting item & was outrageously priced compared to the rest of the set menu. I would definitely repeat this experience.

Amazing, amazing, amazing. Loved every detail - incredible cocktails, the food was unreal, impeccable service! We loved that the kitchen staff brought out dishes & explained them!
Creative & delicious dishes using fresh local produce. Feels like I had an elegant, yet humble meal, without breaking the bank. Would definitely come again!
Fantastic experience from beginning to end. The quality of the food is exceptional & the table side description & origin explanation of the dishes is a great touch. The tasting menu was actually filling & we came out of there very satiated & satisfied. A great touch at the end of the night is when they gave us a small pamphlet describing what we ate & showing the provenance of each dish. Very memorable experience. I highly recommend.

Wonderful night. The food is outstanding (originality, execution, etc). The executive chef often comes out & talks to guests, explains the different dishes & answers questions. Service is great too. Couldn't recommend more.
Wow - just wow. I'm so glad we had the opportunity to experience the tasting menu at Mastard. Each of the five dishes was expertly prepared & the layering of flavours was beautiful. I would highly recommend this restaurant!
There is a reason they are the second highest rated restaurant in all of Canada. They are passionate about what they do & it comes out in their dishes & impeccable service. Tres Magnificent!!!
Outstanding tasting menu. Such creativity. Service was also excellent. Wish the lighting was a little brighter so I could have better appreciated the appearance of the dishes!

My favorite dish was the fish. Absolutely delicious!
If I had to point one dish that could have improvement was the pasta au jus de jambon dish. I am a pasta lover but this dish for me was just ok & nothing special.

The place is really beautiful & the interior decor is top notch, moreover the service was warm & welcoming . We had the tasting menu, one of the dishes was great (the perfectly cooked quail!) , while some of the dishes were a little too intellectual & not that fun to eat (dehydrated pulsed zuchinni mixed with with ALOT of vinegar) . Overall I had a nice evening & enjoyed the atmosphere, but the dishes are a little too "conceptual/intellectualized" for my own personal taste.
