C’est simple, ce que nous célébrons à L’Épicurieux, c’est le bon boire et le bien-manger. L’idée derrière la cuisine de saison est la promesse que chaque bouchée plaise à vos papilles de la manière la plus fondamentale – par sa fraîcheur. Dans le même état d’esprit, nous essayons du mieux que nous pouvons d’utiliser des produits provenant de commerçants locaux. Nous voulons que chaque fruit, légume et viande soient à l’apogée de leurs saveurs. Nous nous engageons à toujours vous offrir le meilleur.

Dominic Tougas, originaire de Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, porte dans son bagage dix ans de travail dans les restaurants et les bars, de la cuisine au service, jusqu’au poste de gestion. Ses expériences font de lui l’hôte par excellence.
Fanny Ducharme , de Sainte-Adèle, a obtenu son diplôme d'études professionnelles et son attestation de spécialisation professionnelle en cuisine de l'École Hôtelière des Laurentides. Elle a passé ses dernières années dans les cuisines de la Cabane à sucre du Pied-de-Cochon et se trouve désormais devant ses propres fourneaux chez L'Épicurieux.

Delicious, local food flavours & great service . This is a set menu of 5 dishes including dessert with an option to add another 2 & a wine pairing for additional cost . Three of us shared a bottle of wine & one of us chose the wine pairing experience. Really up to you what you decide.
Give yourself plenty of time 2-2.5hrs to fully enjoy the experience as it takes time for each dish to come out. I noticed some ppl commenting on the amount of food & price. We had a party of four ppl & we ALL felt satisfied & happy with what we paid for a 5 course Michelin ⭐? meal. EXPERIENCE + FOOD = 💯 & well worth the $$$.
The raspberry cocktail which is what we started with was delish … & the local beers my hubby tried were all good as well. ( my fave was the Ayawan which is brewed really close to the resto & if at all inclined can do a day trip to the brewery itself … either via car or down the river ).

We had a great time BUT why do bottles of wine start at $80? Kind of makes it difficult to go again or recommend (in fact we won't). The menu is already expensive, why SO much for unspecial wine?

Wonderful creative food, excellent attentive service & a sophisticated country atmosphere. Perfect for foodies & wine lovers. We try to make a point of visiting whenever we are in the area.

Excellent restaurant in ValDavid you must try. Two distinct dining room: one backyard style the other more fancy, & you can even sit in front of the chef. Good wine list. Tasting menu only so you get to taste different local food. Generous portions for a tasting menu. Friendly staff who makes sure everything goes well at your table & you're enjoying your experience.

Playful & inspired without being pretentious. The food is the focal point. Absolutely recommend the tasting menu & wine pairing as the sequencing of it is perfectly executed. A wonderful eye opener on how many incredible local producers Quebec has. Have been here three times & every time overwhelms & leaves me planning for my next visit.

A very different & quite exotic way to dine. Various dishes (menu changes regularly) concocted with unusual local ingredients in different & delicious combinations by a very creative proprietor/chef & her staff. Interesting wine list put together by a thoughtful & knowledgeable proprietor/sommelier. Very nice outdoor but covered terrace on the riverside. Attentive & amusing staff made for a most enjoyable evening. First-class all round.
Une façon très différente & assez exotique de dîner. Plats variés (le menu change régulièrement) concoctés avec des ingrédients locaux inhabituels dans des combinaisons différentes & délicieuses par une propriétaire/chef très créative & son personnel. Carte des vins intéressante élaborée par un propriétaire/sommelier attentionné qui connait bien ses cépages. Très belle terrasse extérieure (mais couverte) au bord de la rivière. Le personnel attentionné & amusant nous a fait passer une soirée des plus agréables. Première classe à tous points de vue.

I should've done a review after our first time here back in the summer- do not miss this place if you are in the area! Each plate is exquisitely plated, unique & delicious & best of all, made with Quebec's finest, fresh & local ingredients. No better way to actually support local than this!
Also, you're not coming to dine here to have a basic Californian Chard or a run-of-the-mill steak & potatoes. You're coming to experience a culinary adventure like no other & jump into the most exciting & unique natural wine pairings you've ever had. Add to that an amazing female chef, a sommelier with endless knowledge & a passionate & charming owner.

Premièrement, le service était vraiment excellent. Du staff qualifié, souriant & très présent. Nous avons pris le menu dégustation avec wine paring. Bon plat & très bon vin. Cependant, le prix de l'option dégustation versus les plats & les verres de vin à la carte était trop élevé. Je crois que l'option de 4 tapas pour deux avec des verres de vins suggéré par l'excellent sommelier est un meilleur choix pour votre argent.

A lovely team looked after us & nothing was too much trouble! The food was interesting & we particularly enjoyed the buckwheat risotto with savoury ice cream. We chose the chef surprise with wine pairing & whilst each wine was lovely, I would reconsider the choice of the Cabernet franc with the scallops. I can see a link through the glazing of the Brussels spouts, but for such beautiful produce, the Rose presented on our first course may have been preferable. A lovely evening with a great atmosphere 😬

Creative, delicious, really impressive cuisine, a fusion of nouvelle French & terroir with tapas-sized dishes, each one being a discovery. "Menu degustation" was the way to go. Casablanca cocktail was insane! Good wine list. Desserts were a crown, felt like licking the plate. Place is small & loud, with open kitchen which gives added character to the place. Waiters were great & worked all tables together, this made a great flow of the evening. I would call this the best food experience in Laurentians. Rival Maison Publique & Chasse-Gallerie in Montreal!
