This is my favorite restaurant in Montreal for the food, the service & the host & the ambiance
I have been coming to this restaurant for more than 10 years & the quality of the food & service is always at the highest level. Oysters are to die for. Please order the shaved ice/thyme & the baked one. Appetizer are all wonderful but piglet risotto & octopus are perfect. Halibut always great & beef is always cooked to perfection served with perfect vegetable combination. Let them help you with wine choices. The wine list is incredible & wine by the glass are superb.
Please do not skip on dessert. They are the most sophisticated flavor with incredible presentation . Overall cuisine at the highest level. You will be so happy after you leave.
I was in town for business &, as I like to do, referred to the internet to guide me with particular interest in spots visited by the late Anthony Bourdain. Unbeknownst to me, I would find myself at a 2025 Michelin restaurant.
The food was phenomenal. For a starter, I had the oysters 3 ways which were excellent, every last one. My main was the duck confeit fois gras... I am not typically a duck guy, but I followed the recommendation of Helen, who was a marvelous host, & went for it. I am so glad I did! It was off the charts with flavor. Sooo good! Finally, I finished off with their take on cheesecake, which was the perfect conclusion to my foodie feast.
All the while, my pre-main martinis were on point, & the wine selection was immaculate as well.
Additionally, I got to meet the 2025 top sommelier of the Americas, Jorris Gutierrez Garcia, who is the sommelier on staff at this fine establishment.
I eat well in all of my work travels, but this was a top two dining experience for me & I will now make it a standard stop any time I find myself in Montreal.
Thank you Helen, Jorris, & the bartender who actually waited on me, along with the chef & kitchen staff... this was a lifetime memory for me, even as a solo traveler. ❤?
I had an unforgettable dinner at Le Club Chasse & Pêche in Montreal with my wife, & it was fine dining at its absolute best. The ambiance is refined & intimate, with elegant decor that sets the tone for a special evening. Every dish was beautifully crafted & full of rich, layered flavors, & the wine pairings were spot-on. Yes, it's on the pricier side, but the experience-from the impeccable service to the exquisite food-makes it entirely worth it.
Our favorite restaurant in Montreal!
We ordered the braised piglet risotto, pork belly, halibut, chocolate sphere, & maple éclair. Everything was delicious, but the maple éclair & the popcorn ice cream were absolutely incredible!
The service was also perfect. We only wanted a glass of wine each to go with our main course, & our server was very helpful in guiding us through the options.
This place is ideal for celebrating any occasion-big or small. We highly recommend it!
An absolute must. Service is excellent. Food is one of the best in the city. Great wines. Take someone you love & get yourself a beautiful memory.
Cozy & comfy, with delicious, high end menu. Waiter were all helpful & gave wine recommendations with our meals
Emalin star not granted. Did not meet the expectations. Tried a variety of starters/appetizers. Best one was the lemon oyster. Octupus seems needed more time boiling before grilling. If you are trying to get a full Michellin experience, it's going to be a bit disappointing. Service needs a better structure, more than one waiter taking orders & different recommendations.
Space is small & if busy, it gets loud & noisy. Chardonnay & Gavi white wine glasses were over chilled.
Consistently our favorite restaurant in Montreal. Food is incredible, the menu is balanced & full of heavy hitters, the off menu items are always a treat. The wine is also always amazing & well priced. The service is were things get to the next level & where this restaurant soares above others. Can't wait to see you all again soon!
Absolutely loved it. Food & wine recommendations from our waiter were spot on. We were there on a relatively quiet Tuesday night but they still managed to make a nice atmosphere. Couldn't recommend more highly. I wish I had asked for our waiter's name too he really made the evening special
We had an amazing evening all around... great food, great wine & even better service. Thank you to the amazing staff. We'll be back soon.
I had an excellent evening here at Le Club Chasse & Pêche! It was on a week night so not crowded at all which set the perfect mood for an intimate dinner. Our waiter was very helpful with suggesting a wine pairing & gave us attentive service throughout the whole meal. The risotto, duck & wagyu were all SO delicious! The pommes dauphines were literally perfect & I still think about them. This restaurant is a new favorite of mine!
We had a fantastic dinner at Le Club Chasse & Péche. The atmosphere is lively during dinner & has a really nice dark walls/leather chairs vibe. The food is out of this world, we loved the aged meat (with copious truffles), delicious desserts & huge wine selection. I really recommend this for a special occasion or when you want to make someone feel special.
I've dined here many times & will be back again - perfect for a family gathering (less than 8 people) or romantic date. The food is incredible, we had the duck & wagyu beef which were both perfection. The wines were stellar, perfectly matched with our food. The service is top, very on point but also personable which makes you feel comfortable & relaxed.
The only bad thing about eating here is deciding what to eat as everything on the menu sounds delicious! Wine selection is great as well.
Is it always this noisy? Maybe it's my old age... for sure, because of this, I will not return.... It's a pity because the wine list is well curated & the dishes I selected were delicious. At least the trout which was absolutely stunning as a main course. The appetiser however, I can not remember...For sure, alone at my table, people watching is bar none. Beautiful staff, beautiful guests & I am happily married. Very happily married... If you want to party, this might be the place to open the evening when you have somewhere else to go to afterwards. If you want to go alone or on a date, forget it. It is way too noisy & distracting. Sorry team Chasse & Pêche, you are amazing. But, really, I am being honest, or too old for you, even in my middle age...
Had the opportunity to eat here on Sept. 7 @ 6:45pm. Small dining space with comfortable seating & filled within 20 mins I'd say. • Amazing variations of staff members help with your meal - very knowledgable with the food served • Complimentary bread provided • Huge selection of wines • We had the Quail & octopus for appetizers - both were delicious • & for main we had Wagyu & Duck - cooked to perfection & melt in your mouth • For dessert we shared the chocolate sphere - very rich with a slight hint of orange •With a bottle of wine this cost roughly $379, very worth it for the level of food provided • The only negative thing I'd mention is bring a jacket or shall to wear, we found it to be very cold inside.
Incredible food. Venison, oysters, ribs & mushrooms with bacon were amazing. The wine recommendation from our server was right on. The chocolate sphere is highly recommended. You get what you pay for & it was a dinner to remembe
perfect combination of the location, interior, cuisine, dessert, wine, staff. A Japanese patissiere makes wonderful sweet!
One of the best meals of my life. Scallop crudo was incredible & the sauce was one of the most delicous things I've ever eaten. Partner had Salmon confit. I notmally don't love cooked salmon but this was a major exception. Perfect preperation that left no hint of the fishy flavor I associate with cooked salmon. Foie Gras PB&J was playful & deslightful. Great texture. I think it's a work in progress but I've never had anything like it! Venison was absolutely killer & the duck was perfect. Sauces all around were stellar. If I had to nitpick, the dining room felt a bit dated & the wine pours were generally smaller than I would like at this price point. Service was efficient if a bit cool. It would be good to have some emergency frozen gluten free bread on hand - partner has celiac & this is always appreciated & seems to be more & more commonly offered in place of normal bread. But these are tiny nitpicks to an otherwise perfect meal. Overall, there are meals you splurge on & then regret it. No chance of that happening at this place. Food was 6/5.
Le Club Chasse & Pêche, Montreal: A Gastronomic Gem Le Club Chasse & Pêche in Montreal earns a solid four stars for its food, ambiance, & service. The menu is a culinary adventure, with standout dishes like the perfectly cooked Foie Gras, albeit slightly overwhelmed by the peanut butter taste & lacking acidity. The venison, while promising with boreal inspiration, suffered from dryness & a monotonous bitter note, especially from the beets. The chocolate butterscotch dessert was a high point. Their wine list is notably impressive, featuring exciting finds from Languedoc. The courteous service adds to the experience, although the small size of the dining area can lead to a noisy environment. Despite some minor setbacks, it's a Montreal institution well worth revisiting, especially with friends.
