Absolutely amazing food. Best barbecue meat I've ever had in my life. Better than Texas, & that's saying a lot. You don't want to miss this restaurant if you come to Montreal. Lovely service too.

Very disappointed with our experience this year. We made our reservation back in February for our Formula 1 trip & had previously enjoyed this restaurant last year. After a long day, we arrived expecting the table we had reserved, only to be told we would have to sit at the bar because they'anticipated being busy' despite the restaurant being empty at the time.
When we explained we were tired & had specifically booked well in advance for a proper table, we were then offered patio seating on the street. Eventually, after expressing our frustration, we were placed at a tiny table directly beside the front door where every opening made the experience uncomfortable.
The overall interaction felt rude & unaccommodating, which was very disappointing considering our previous positive experience.
Our party had people from Arkansas, Oklahoma, & Texas. We believe we know BBQ & have had really great BBQ, but this was next level!! The brisket, pulled pork, & chicken were fantastic as were all three sides. We also really enjoyed their sauces.
The food portion are small, very small. The brisket was barely visible. First the price, that is not normal. & tiny plates of beans. The service was good, the waitress was very nice, but the food very disappointed.

Having tried BBQ across the US, Lattuca is top notch. The beef rib was fantastic as was the brisket. Nice portions, very tasty food, friendly owner & so close to all the attractions along the water in Old Montreal. Highly recommend Lattuca for a casual stop with amazing food.
Bouffe froide, manque de choix mais au moins goûteuse.
Serveuse parlait pas français, rushait la commande, ambiance terrible... pour le prix je m'attendais à mieux (musique d'ambiance, plus de lumière, un minimum de déco, etc).
Menu aucunement adapté aux enfants & quand même $18.
Je ne reviendrai plus.
Viande toujours aussi incroyable. J'y vais depuis l'ouverture & n'ai jamais goûté à un meilleur Brisket. Bien entendu c'est un BBQ, donc faut s'attendre à cette ambiance & style de resto. Mais la simplicité n'enlève rien à l'expérience & surtout au goût. Bravo John!
Most underwhelming bbq I've ever had. All the meats were dry, tasted unremarkable & the portions are laughably small. Even the pork rib (SINGULAR rib...) wasn't great & that's usually the thing that most American style bbq spots get right. The mac n cheese & the beans were pretty good, however.
Our waitress, Marissa, was the only highlight of my afternoon at Lattuca. She's awesome & has great service. No physical menu means she has to remember everything by heart & I give her props for that. Unfortunately, it won't be enough for me to ever return here.
The brisket & the pork ribs were the best meat I have had in my life! So damn flavorful & melt in your mouth. Dont worry about the small menu. Its small because it takes work to perfect it to that taste
If you are in Montreal you got to try this place. Life changing food 😋

The beef rib was pure heaven; comparative to bbq I have had in Dallas/Austin. Only criticism would be the lack of menus. My partner & I are both neurodivergent - we both need a printed menu or we're completely lost. The food & drinks were delicious though! We'll happily be back.

Il est à mon goût que d'essayer les « barbecues » des endroits dans lesquels je voyage & laissez moi vous dire que si je dois mélanger l'accueil, la discussion avec john, le lieu & l'expérience culinaire je donnerai un réel 9/10.

Very welcoming environment, food was amazing & the verbal menu was my favourite thing about it. No need of thinking about what you're gonna eat or what's good, it's all good!
We came up from Vermont to visit Montreal & thought we'd give this place a try with zero expectations. My wife & I both lived in the south for years & I've eaten BBQ in many places in Texas, so we can be a bit snobby. All I can say is WOW! This is bar none the best I've had. I couldn't believe that there were anything less than 5 star reviews, but after reading some of the lower ratings, those folks were not looking for what an actual BBQ joint offers, amazing meats. Everything else is a bonus. This place delivers! Show up early for a bigger selection, show up late for bonus portions! We will definitely be back!
