Lattuca Barbecue functions as a specialized smokehouse focused on authentic, slow-cooked American barbecue techniques. The menu features premium cuts of meat prepared with traditional dry rubs and finished over hardwood smoke to achieve a distinct depth of flavor. Signature offerings include tender beef brisket, succulent pulled pork, and glazed ribs served alongside house-made accompaniments. Food is good, no complaints there. Service however is slow as hell, so expect to have a line up just to settle your bill.
But it's getting 2 stars for the fraud. They literally tell you there's no menus but that you have 4 choices of meat. If you pick ribs, it's an extra 8$ per person. They don't tell you that however, & because there's no menu, you can't dispute it.
So they can make up whatever price they want on the spot.
Also, they don't offer napkins. They offer a roll of brown paper.
Good food, not worth the trouble though. We read a review that mentioned that before & thought' surely the reviewer was lying' well no he wasn't. I can confirm.
Best BBQ outside of Texas! We had a great evening at Lattuca, the beef rib & beef brisket were amazing & the pork St Louis ribs was solid too. As old school as it can be (as a compliment), the quality of the food is 10/10 at a competitive price. A gem in the Old Port

This place is truly a gem & a lot of people criticize the portions when there's sufficient food for a person in each plate & you can choose individual plates with three meats if you're scared to not have enough! John Lattuca is a world renowned pitmaster & it shows. I don't get people criticizing the seasoning when it's classic American bbq seasoning as it should be! If you rather strong spices like curry there's a lot of variety in Montreal & you can find Indian cuisine at its finest on these streets but if you want authentic American BBQ this is the place for you!
I don't know what i was expecting of this place. Didn't live up to the'world champion brisket' advertisment. Portions were so small for the price. 1 single piece of rib for everyone. Brisket was dry. Sides are good but small. Not worth the money. & let's not start with the service. How can i say it: there is none. They bring you water once for the whole supper. We were lucky to find a pichet on the table next to us.
Also there is no menu. You have to order what they give you.
Avoid this place. So many better restaurants in old port. Very unfortunate
Consigliato
No menu & no prices on display.
The food is ok but definitely not worth the 53 dollars I paid for the portion you get. The sides are also extremely small.
