We came up from Vermont to visit Montreal & thought we'd give this place a try with zero expectations. My wife & I both lived in the south for years & I've eaten BBQ in many places in Texas, so we can be a bit snobby. All I can say is WOW! This is bar none the best I've had. I couldn't believe that there were anything less than 5 star reviews, but after reading some of the lower ratings, those folks were not looking for what an actual BBQ joint offers, amazing meats. Everything else is a bonus. This place delivers! Show up early for a bigger selection, show up late for bonus portions! We will definitely be back!

Le service est minable. Je me suis déplacé à l'ouverture du restaurant pour faire un commande à emporter & on a refusé de me servir. Préférant garder leurs stocks pour de potentiels clients qui viendront peut-être plus tard manger sur place.
Best BBQ I've ever had - we had the beef brisket, chicken & pulled pork with mac & cheese, coleslaw & smoked beans. This is the best meal we've had during our trip to Montreal & already looking forward to visiting again. The service, experience & price point is unbeatable.
This is easily one of the hidden gems in Old Montreal! Can't recommend it enough for delicious BBQ. The food is clearly made with love & the old school way, service is excellent & everything is very reasonably priced. My wife & I had a wonderful time & enjoyed everything served. The brisket, smoked beans & Mac n cheese was the best we've ever had! We will be visiting here everytime we come to Montreal
Le 12 avril vers 8:40, j'appelle pour avoir de l'informations, puisque qu'il n'y a aucun menu en ligne, le monsieur au téléphone était très arrogant sans aucune raison valable, commence à m'insulter & me raccroche au nez violemment. Inacceptable en 2026 de se faire traiter de ce genre au téléphone
. Tout ça parce que j'essaye de m'informer au sujet du style de menu de choix de viandes étant donné que le menu doordash n'est pas le même que sur les photos Google. Le propriétaire devrait absolument renvoyer cet individu ingras qui lui fait perdre des clients. Pas la peine d'essayer & se sentir intimidé.
Même pas eu le temps de me venir déjà dégoûter… 20h40 dimanche 12 avril j'appelle à ce restaurant pour venir manger on me traite comme un chien battut au téléphone. Tanner d'être mal reçu au téléphone en 2026 faut que le propriétaire soit au courant de son personnel malveillant.

Great place to go if you are looking for a great dish of brisket, ribs, smoked chicken. The cocktails were really good too. This was our first visit but this restaurant has been included in our list of favorites ones. John the owner is a very kind, sweet & passionate of his work. Thanks John & your team for a beautiful dinner & evening 😀.

As soon as the pilot says we can use our phones, I text Gianni & asks him to save me a Beef Rib. Not many BBQ spots north of Texas can do a beef rib as good as this guy… of course I'll have the brisket, the pulled pork & the ribs too & then roll home, very happy.
Una carne deliciosa , suave que se deshace en tu boca , auténtico sabor BBQ , las porciones muy abundantes, tienes que probar la charola para compartir trae todas las carnes y pollo también, nos atendió el propietario y es súper amable y atento si estás por la zona no te lo pierdas
Meat is of a good quality. We had brisket, beef rib & pulled pork.
What I didn't find in comment section that is important: if you come as a group you have to order 1 option of meats & sides for everyone. You cannot order your choice of meats or sides. Even though each of you is paying separately, the choice gets limited to only one. So make sure that you share tastes with everyone in the room otherwise you're stuck with the majority.

Incroyable expérience! Les saveurs, les odeurs, le service, tout était parfait! Aucun problème même pour ma conjointe Coeliaque! Impossible de choisir car tout semblait tellement bon, que nous avons pris tout les choix de viandes possible! Un vrai délice!
I really wanted to love this place, heard so much about it, it was so hyped, it's a local resto but unfortunately it didn't live up to expectations at all.
Very disappointing taste compared to reviews.
The only positive was the service, waitresses were friendly, polite & competent.
