Welcome to Hana Korean Steak House, where Korean barbecue meets modern fine dining. In Montréal's Old Port.
Guided by Michelin-starred Chef Wongoo Joun, Hana redefines Korean flavours using premium ingredients. From Prime Beef +, with truffle, caviar, and refined Korean elements. Chefs and servers grill each cut tableside, creating an immersive and memorable experience.
At Hana, every detail is intentional, and every visit is an invitation to experience Korean steakhouse dining at its finest.
Reviews describe Hana Korean Steakhouse as a premium venue with high quality grilled meats and a cozy yet modern vibe, offering the butcher's selection or an omakase experience and attentive service that is often praised, while some guests note slow service, high prices, and a loud, spacious setting that can detract from intimacy; overall the restaurant is seen as a standout for meat quality and presentation, with an inviting atmosphere and potential for special occasions, though expectations around service speed and value vary.
A fancy pricey Steakhouse that has borrowed elements of the Korean BBQ experience but not authentic Korean or Korean in taste, more fusiony with a mix of old & new, East & West. Better quality meats & cuts, some well aged, than you would find in typical Montreal Korean BBQs but different vibe, taste & experience. Would go back if in the mood for meat (Butcher's choice), but not if in the mood for Korean or Korean BBQ.

What an experience as a first time visitor! The butcher's selection was absolutely incredible, easily one of the best we've had. From the pine nut asparagus to the beef consommé to the filet mignon, every item was top quality & cooked perfectly.
But the real standout was our server, Victor. The service he provided was on another level, genuinely the best we've ever experienced. Attentive, fast, & made the whole night way more enjoyable.
Honestly, his performance was comparable to 2018 LeBron James & 2013 Cristiano Ronaldo, just elite across the board.
Will definitely be coming back!

Overall I had a good meal. We chose the 4 course meal option & omg that first bite was heavenly, but the 3 others cuts weren't as delicious. They were good but did not come close to the first cut.
A big selection of banchan let's you customize each bite, I really like the mustard green.
TLDR: Do not recommend, your 100$+pp will be better spent elsewhere// Ne recommende pas - Vos 100$+pp seront mieux dépensés ailleurs.
Friday night, 9PM reservation. We were excited & wanted to like this place, but they kept disappointing...
This place markets itself as a'fine dining' establishment.
- We waited 50 minutes past our reservation time to be seated. Why even take reservations if you don't manage your tables?
- Service was just OK; we had to ask for explanation of the chef's menus & had to ask for wine after having our glasses taken away before being asked.
- Sides are simple but good. Meat was just OK. The best cut of meat was given first, followed by multiple average cuts that didn't live up to the first. Odd, but ok.
- Above average loudness in the restaurant. Many drunk, loud groups lingering for a long time, most likely contributing to the ridiculous wait times.

12/10 experience. My boyfriend & I came on a spontaneous date night & it did not disappoint what so ever. The food was out of this world but what really took the experience to an all time high was the service. Everyone was so attentive, so friendly & very welcoming, as specially our server Victor. I definitely recommend Hana & we will certainly be coming back.
Even with a reservation (9pm), we wait for 50 minutes to get our table which is inacceptable for a high end restaurant. The meat & the quantity was good for the price but the quality of the service was not what I except for this type of restaurant. It was quite loud & the tables are big because of the bbq so not ideal for an intimate dinner. Overall, I would not recommend.
