Great seafood restaurant! Top quality, fresh ingredients & generous portions. The greeting is fast & professional, the service is efficient & very friendly. Arguably the best seafood restaurant in Montreal, certainly the oldest, just a 2 minute walk from the Notre Dame basilica in the Old Port. As you come in you are greeted by one of the owners through the bar section, where you can see the original stools & lamps from the 1930s. You get the feel of a classic neighbourhood joint, full of regulars, very busy. The cocktails are very generous (6 oz martinis). They have an nice seafood tower, very festive . The seafood pasta is outstanding. The Dover sole Meuniere is the house specialty, & it's the best i've had anywhere. Also we tried lobster ravioli, which was a highlight. The staff is young, super friendly & professional, & the owners are charming. Strongly recommend, overall a great value. They offer indoor valet parking for $15

Une expérience absolument mémorable. Nous avons passé une soirée fantastique dans ce restaurant. L'ambiance était vraiment chaleureuse, notamment grâce à la petite lampe de table qui donnait un ton parfait à notre repas.

La qualité des plats était tout simplement exceptionnelle. Chaque assiette était présentée avec soin & le goût était au rendez-vous. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié la finesse de la préparation du poulpe, qui était cuit à la perfection. C'est une adresse incontournable à Montréal.

The service was adequate, could have been more attentive. The food was very bland & overcooked. For the price, the food was extremely dissapointing. There is very minimal atmosphere, they benefit from a little music, or a little louder. Overall, I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

We had a great dinner at Chez Delmo. The steak tartare was excellent-fresh, well seasoned, & one of the best I've had. The calamari was also perfectly cooked & a great starter. They have a good wine list with plenty of options, & the staff were friendly, attentive, & made us feel welcome throughout the evening. Would definitely come back.

Great seafood restaurant. Nice clean decor with artistic murals, professional management. Friendly , & professional waiters. The drinks are fabulous, great bloody caesars & huge martinis. We had soups (lobster bisque) & different entrees. All were great. One of us in our party is allergic to seafood, so I mentioned when I reserved & they had planned accordingly. OveralI a memorable experience, fresh, quality food, reasonable prices on everything, even the wine. If you want the best quality this is it. The seafood pasta is the best: fresh pasta with large chunks of lobster, jumbo shrimps, scallops & huge clams, in a lobster sauce. I could eat it everyday.The tables are far apart which is nice, & there are large windows overlooking beautiful buildings. Can't wait to go back!

Je me suis rendu dans ce restaurant un peu par hasard ; ayant entendu que c'était la bonne période pour manger du homard, j'avais jeté mon dévolu sur cette enseigne réputée de Montréal.

Je savais parfaitement ce que je voulais en entrant, ayant déjà étudié la carte. Si les douze huîtres servaient de mise en bouche, les asperges qui suivirent auguraient le meilleur pour la suite, tant leur fraîcheur & leur cuisson étaient parfaites.

C'était sans compter sur l'intervention du patron, Benoît, un vieux loup de mer, qui me fit changer d'avis pour son fameux club-sandwich au homard : tout simplement divin. Sur ses conseils, j'ai terminé ce repas par un pouding exceptionnel, conclusion parfaite à ce moment de grâce.

Ce fut un instant privilégié où tout était au rendez-vous : convivialité, rigueur & discrétion. Du service à la qualité des produits (petit clin d'oeil personnel), jusqu'à cette attention teintée d'une bienveillance feutrée qui, finalement, est sans aucun doute le plus important. Tout ceci reste subjectif, évidemment, d'autant plus que le patron tentait de me corrompre avec sa bouteille de poire laissée à ma disposition.

Mais finalement, le plus beau des compliments n'est-il pas le sourire que j'ai pu observer sur le visage de tous les clients au moment de quitter l'établissement ? Une adresse à ne louper sous aucun prétexte. Je n'aurais qu'un seul mot : merci.
