i wanted to love this place. my husband & i were really looking forward to coming here, after much research. we seem to have arrived at a very busy time & once we finally ordered, it took AN HOUR for our food to arrive. we had no communication about the delay & were left wondering if maybe our food had been forgotten. when our food did arrive, the server apologized for the wait.
the steak was somewhat charred on the outside (maybe that's how it is done?) but we were so hungry that we just ate it rather than saying anything. we felt somewhat disappointed in our meal. in my experience, if a guest is made to wait that long for food, something small is usually compensated on the bill as a way of saying thank you for your patience. nothing like that happened here & I'm left feeling like i would not reccomend this to anyone else.

An amazing dining experience from start to finish! The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries were crispy, & the escargots were absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm & elegant, & the service was friendly & attentive. Everything was so good that we finished every last bite! Definitely a five-star experience-we'll be back!

Pleasant & attentive service.
Good food.
We had Liver ,Cod ,Steak, Leeks.
All were very tasty & well prepared.
Profiteroles for dessert …yummy!
Wine was also nice.
Great location.

Snagged in by the French onion soup. Very much enjoyed the trout & green beans. Pleasant service, accommodating in English. The bar is well-thought out - snuggle spots for couples, comfortable for solo diners. My barneighbour's escargot smelled heavenly & the steak looked perfect.

We had a pretty bad experience. We were seated right up in the barman's workstation. He was courteous, nothing against him, but it was uncomfortable to sit so close to a barman making drinks for an entire restaurant. Rush, rush, rush, & just so loud. We had 16 inches between ourselves & his workstation. & behind us was the path to & fro the kitchen. So it was hectic & not enjoyable. They shouldn't sit people there.

The food was very acidic. Like almost everything was too acidic. The appetizers were underwhelming. The steak very chewy & hard to cut. The fries were pale & limp. But at least the boudin was good. Overall the food was very meh. But it could have still been enjoyable if they sat us elsewhere because the restaurant does look cute.

As we had made a reservation, I got an email prompting me to leave a review. I let them know our experience in private. No response or acknowledgement. So here we go…on Google maps.

We ordered the steak medium-rare, but it's totally burnt. The surface of the steak was really bitter, & since it wasn't cheap, I'm really disappointed. However, the server was really nice.

Classic French bistro where you know exactly what you're getting. No surprises, just everything executed well & true to what it should be. The escargots, the hanger steak, the duck breast & the rice pudding are all really good. You eat well from start to finish, entrée, main, dessert.

My family & I had a wonderful experience at Bouillon Albert. The evening started with exceptional cocktails, setting the tone for what turned out to be a fantastic meal.

The wine selection is excellent, with a thoughtful & diverse list that perfectly complemented our dinner. The staff was also very accommodating with our children, customizing their meals to suit their tastes, which was greatly appreciated.

For starters, my wife & I shared the eggs with caviar & the steak tartare - both beautifully prepared & delicious. For our mains, Amélie enjoyed the stingray while I had the trout, & both dishes were outstanding & paired wonderfully with the wines we selected. The kids loved their steak & fries, which looked so good that I was tempted to order it myself.

Beyond the food & drinks, the atmosphere was warm & inviting, with great music & truly attentive service throughout the evening.

A memorable dining experience from start to finish. We look forward to coming back.

Je vous recommande la soupe à l'onion & le steak frite. L'attente n'était pas trop longue & le restaurant n'est pas trop bruyant. On a vraiment apprécié la qualité de la nourriture. Le seul bémol : la farce sur la salade d'endives étaient ridicule… voir photo.
