The food was beautiful, the staff was beautiful & the place is beautiful. The drinks are very nicely made, & the food is perfectly balanced. The brioche was delicate & the cheese & butter that it came with were a wonderful paring. The salad with anchovies & bacon was delicious. The hen had a wonderful creamy sauce & soft mushrooms. The pasta with ricotta was truly delight. We had a dessert that we ate so quickly I forgot to take a picture but it had a very nice apple confit on top. Lastly the staff was not only gorgeous but they were funny, knowledgeable & attentive. I'd love to come back & get through the entire menu.

We sat at the bar & the bartender was very very good! We enjoyed his company & knowledge of the menu/drinks. I found the short ribs a little too salty but they were very gracious about it. My daughter really enjoyed her paella. I would definitely go again!

An incredible experience with drinks & dinner at the bar, made even more incredible by Marc. He made our delicious dinner an unforgettable experience that wouldn't have been the same without him.

What a romantic little resto in the heart of the old port. The paella was soooo good, although years ago I remember it was served on traditional Spanish paella pans? The steak yummm! cooked & seasoned perfectly. Drinks, always strong like I like it. I'm an early eater, otherwise make sure you make reservations

Best food in Montreal - hands down.
Great Staff
The space is wonderful
The bar makes top notch drinks to your choice. I strongly suggest you try the Old Fashion
Walk past all the other tourist traps in old town & around the city & make your way to Barroco.
You will be VERY happy you did.

PS. The short rib is hands down the best I have ever eaten. It will be for you as well. But what ever you choose, you will leave with a full belly & smile on your face. Don't miss it.

We love this place & regret that we only went for a drink at the bar but ended up ordering a little bit of food which blew us away. We had a brioche with olive oil butter & a pasta dish with morels. Very simple but absolutely delicious & perfectly executed. It was our last night in Montreal so wish we could have stayed one more night so we could have a full meal. Hopefully we'll make our way back there again! The bartender made great cocktails & provided awesome service at the bar. The ambience is cozy & inviting. This place has everything we love about drinking/dining out!

Only half of our party had their drink orders taken, the other half never was asked. We were given dessert menus & the order was never taken. It took 1 full hour after our meals were done to get our bill. The waiter never asked about dessert we had to flag him down for our cheque.
