Amazing chilli chicken, Jackfruit Biryani, Sambar, Sasav Salad was 😋 delicious & the Poutine with the spicy mushroom sauce was to die for. Service is top notch. They bring you water on time, take care of your spice level ( just the right touch) & both the desserts were great. Didn't know vegan food could be so interesting. The restaurant is beautiful inside & there is some energy & vibe which relaxes you & makes you feel so good as you dine in. The restaurant is magical. We had the NYE 5 course experience - out of the world! This place deserves a Michelin Star. Best gluten free, healthy food in not just Montréal but the whole world. My favorite restaurant in the universe. The owner is very adorable. A truly genuine, caring adorable soul. His light shines through & his passion for veganism is contagious. The decor is boho yet grounding, hippie yet traditional, uplifting & zen at the same time. Love TULA to the moon & back. Their thalis come in my dreams.....get up & 🏃?♂? 🏃?♂? 🏃?♂? run....This place is a culinary gem. It is almost 100% gluten free which is an added bonus.
I loved Tula so much! The staff was very knowledgeable about thier food & took time explaining thier menu to us which was helpful because some of my friends have an egg & gluten allergy. They felt super safe & well informed while eating there. The food was so good & well seasoned I really liked the butter chicken. The staff was also very kind.
Beautiful experience, amazing vegan restaurant. From the moment we step in we were treated warmly, team served us all with excellent knowledge of the menu. The food was wonderful, flavorful, fresh, artistically expressive with edible flowers too. Absolutely best butter chicken to order & mango lassi was so fresh. The decor is beautiful. Owner is a kind, energetically sensitive person, who is passionate about sharing wonderful vegan dishes. A must visit! I will be back ❤?
The first time I came here I didn't realize they hadn't opened yet & I had to leave soon after but I was greeted warmly by the worker or owner. They were so passionate, humble & kind & encouraged me to come back another time. I haven't had the chance yet but I was craving good & healthy restaurant food while stuck at home & had a feeling they would be an ethical business that doesn't use plastic. I assumed correctly, yay! so I just ordered 5 dishes with chapatis off skip the dishes that came in paper/bagasse packaging. Everything was impressive but the pindi cholle, tikka masala & lasooni dhaniya & chapatis were sooo amazing ! The other two dishes (vegan butter chicken, tofu achari) were great but I would recommend the other ones more. Hope I'll be able to get a taste of the chill & joyful restaurant environment sometime soon while trying more menu items because there are still so many. I'd definitely get delivery again too 🥡
Update: finally ate in resto & it was a vibe. Busy & slow but the owner gave me a chai tea & his kind service to make up for it. I had the vegan chicken tikka masala & the elderberry cucumber pineapple cocktail
I returned on a weekend for the brunch menu & it was divine. The owner puts so much love into the cooking & explaining the dishes. The vibe was peaceful. Here's what's on the plate : Porridge = millets & lentils & eaten with fresh coconut sauce (yellow), lentil stew with lots of veggies, Tofu scramble, Black chickpea salad, Potatoes boiled & seasoned, Sweet potato porridge, Crepes made with lentil flour, spinach & herbs & you eat that with tamarind sauce 🤍❤?
The plant based chicken veggie ginger stir fry is sooo delicious
Mango lassi too. Helped with the spice of the chili chicken which is really spicy beware!
I came back on a weekday to try the vegan chicken wrap. They give the option of mild or spicy & if you choose mild they use butter chicken. It was wrapped well so you could take it to go if you want & comes with sauces. The chapati used for the wrap was soft & went well with it.
Another time: absolutely divine combo or individual delicacies: the Radga Pattice & the coconut mocktail
Food was the best we had this past weekend. I am still thinking about it & can't wait to be back in Montreal to eat here again!! We got the salad, chicken tikka masala , chilli chicken, paratha, mango lassi, jackfruit biryani & purple yam cake & would recommend all of them. The service was absolutely amazing. Abi, the owner explained the full menu & you can see the passion he has for all the food on his menu!! 100% recommend.
The best Indian plant-based restaurant in Montreal. Tried Vegan Chicken Biryani so awesome. The lasooni Dhaniya Tofu so so so delicious, gluten free chapati goes along with it.
Also talking about ambiance, slow meditating music in background, the refreshing insect stick wow.
The Best lndian food in not just Montreal but also in Canada. The owner is extremely kind & his vision of Indian food is unparalleled. The salads here are just mind blowing. The soups are light & delicious. The curries are finger licking good. They have Ayurvedic beverages in their menu & paired with their delicious food, you feel like crying with tears of joy. Tofu Koliwada is to die for. Their vegan butter chicken is yummy & a must try. Their Plant based Chicken as well as Jackfruit Biryani are exceptionally good. Food is 6/5, the place is spotless clean & the service is commendable. The Elaneer Payasam was the icing on the cake. We had to wait as we did not have a reservation. Their Brunch Platter ( our second visit) was extremely good. I have no words to express how good. Can't wait to try more stuff on the menu. This is the best Indian restaurant in Montreal. Infact it's the healthiest Indian food serving restaurant in North America for sure. You feel good after eating here!
Our first meal in Montreal, & we were blown away. Whatever you do, do NOT forget to order the mango lassi-the best I've had in my life! The vegan butter chicken was also remarkable, as was the tikka masala poutine... it was difficult to not return for dinner again the next day. The vibe is lovely for a casual date, too. The staff treated us very well, too. Highly recommended!
Hailing from a non-vegetarian eating city of Goa, India, have never even touched vegan food before stepping in Tula restaurant.
After trying Tula, the food makes you forget every other dish you have tried. Abhishek is adorable & so good at what he does. We ordered General Tao's plant based chicken & veg special Thali. Abhishek explains every dish that you order or wish to order. The food is an absolutely perfect blend of Maharashtrian & vegan cuisine.
