Everything was so fresh & delicious.
Incredible food! We all tried each other's dishes & loved everything. Mango Lassi was a highlight as well.
Such lovely staff & service, our waitress was the best! 11/10!
I went in starving & ordered the Tofu Koliwada, the Korean Jap Chae & the Grandma's Special coconut curry with vegetables & plant-based chicken. Then I ordered the hibiscus/ginger tea & the mango lassi. All in all everything was absolutely incredible to the point that after getting a taste of each dish, I couldn't decide which to continue eating first. The service was excellent. It felt like the water never ran out because it was always replaced. Moreover, it took very little time for the dishes we finished to be taken back. The waitress & owner both were super sociable people & I found myself having conversations with them as if we're friends catching up. It's such a shame that I couldn't eat more. I will definitely be introducing this gem to my friends & family.
This place is awesome. The mango lassi was delicious & the'grandmother's coconut curry' was perfect. The owner was there & was very engaging & service oriented.
The first time I came here I didn't realize they hadn't opened yet & I had to leave soon after but I was greeted warmly by the worker or owner. They were so passionate, humble & kind & encouraged me to come back another time. I haven't had the chance yet but I was craving good & healthy restaurant food while stuck at home & had a feeling they would be an ethical business that doesn't use plastic. I assumed correctly, yay! so I just ordered 5 dishes with chapatis off skip the dishes that came in paper/bagasse packaging. Everything was impressive but the pindi cholle, tikka masala & lasooni dhaniya & chapatis were sooo amazing ! The other two dishes (vegan butter chicken, tofu achari) were great but I would recommend the other ones more. Hope I'll be able to get a taste of the chill & joyful restaurant environment sometime soon while trying more menu items because there are still so many. I'd definitely get delivery again too 🥡
Update: finally ate in resto & it was a vibe. Busy & slow but the owner gave me a chai tea & his kind service to make up for it. I had the vegan chicken tikka masala & the elderberry cucumber pineapple cocktail
I returned on a weekend for the brunch menu & it was divine. The owner puts so much love into the cooking & explaining the dishes. The vibe was peaceful. Here's what's on the plate : Porridge = millets & lentils & eaten with fresh coconut sauce (yellow), lentil stew with lots of veggies, Tofu scramble, Black chickpea salad, Potatoes boiled & seasoned, Sweet potato porridge, Crepes made with lentil flour, spinach & herbs & you eat that with tamarind sauce 🤍❤?
The plant based chicken veggie ginger stir fry is sooo delicious
Mango lassi too. Helped with the spice of the chili chicken which is really spicy beware!
I came back on a weekday to try the vegan chicken wrap. They give the option of mild or spicy & if you choose mild they use butter chicken. It was wrapped well so you could take it to go if you want & comes with sauces. The chapati used for the wrap was soft & went well with it.
Another time: absolutely divine combo or individual delicacies: the Radga Pattice & the coconut mocktail
Brunch today: the Bombay sandwich with tofu scramble was one of the best sandwiches of my life & the dragonfruit mocktail was refreshing & balanced. My friend really enjoyed her mango mocktail & brunch platter. The owner was so kind & fun to talk to as usual 💙💚❤?🧡
easily one of the best restaurants i visited in my life, i took the brunch platter, which consisted of basically a tasting menu of everything, chutneys, salads, the vegan crepes, lentils purée & the sweet potato dessert, paired with the mango lassi even though i was hesitating with the coco guava drink -that i will probably try next time, it was a wonderful human experience above all, abhi is so sweet & welcoming & attentive, thank you from the bottom of my heart, i will come back very soon & become a regular for sure!!
Unbelievably rich & tasty dishes from the soups to rich jackfruit Biryani to a mind-blowing bowl of chaat. Maybe the best Mango Lassi I've ever tasted. Same goes for the Tomato basil & lentil soups. We had four spoons racing to the bottom.
The staff was knowledgeable & friendly, while Abi (sp?) the owner's energy & conversation was warm, caring, & made you truly believe the food was'made with so much love'.
We (from Toronto) will definitely return, & will never visit Montreal without having at least one meal here.
Truly a gem, with a decor that vibes perfectly with the food being served. If you know, you know.
Couldn't more highly recommend.
See you soon, Tula!
We had a wonderful experience at Tula-the ambiance, the food, & the hospitality were all exceptional. Most of all, the owner, Abhi, is an enthusiastic & welcoming gentleman who took the time to explain each dish as it was served. We will definitely be returning.
Every plate was thoughtfully balanced with protein, vegetables, & carbs, just like an authentic home?cooked Indian meal. We tried the vegetable biryani, thali, tofu koliwada, spinach & tofu curry plate, pindi chole plate, mango lassi, & hibiscus?ginger tea. Each one was excellent. My personal favorite was the biryani, & my 10?year?old especially loved the vegetable stew.
We love Tula! We ordered the biryani, butter chicken, roti, pana cona & mango lassi. Everything was absolutely delicious! As a vegan, it's usually hard to find Indian vegan food that is so delicious. Abhishek is very kind, enthusiastic & a great host.
Will definitely be here again.
Had an absolutely wonderful time here. Maybe my favorite meal in a city with amazing food. Enjoying a healthy, veg based meal after so much bread & cheese was very refreshing. Abhishek puts his heart into the restaurant & creates true ghar ka khana (home cooking). Wish I had been there for the lunchtime thali but dinner was incredible. Best mango lassi I've had & somehow vegan too!! Highly recommended.
