I had such a wonderful experience here! I came with my best friend, & from the moment we walked in, we were welcomed with such genuine kindness. The owner is incredibly warm, friendly, & truly cares about making every guest feel at home.
The food was absolutely outstanding. The biryani was packed with flavour, perfectly cooked, & easily one of the best I've ever had. The achari tofu was another highlight: so unique, perfectly seasoned, & incredibly delicious. Every dish tasted fresh & was made with so much care.
If you're looking for authentic, flavorful food & exceptional hospitality, I can't recommend this place enough. We'll definitely be back, & I can't wait to bring more friends & family. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
Unbelievably rich & tasty dishes from the soups to rich jackfruit Biryani to a mind-blowing bowl of chaat. Maybe the best Mango Lassi I've ever tasted. Same goes for the Tomato basil & lentil soups. We had four spoons racing to the bottom.
The staff was knowledgeable & friendly, while Abi (sp?) the owner's energy & conversation was warm, caring, & made you truly believe the food was'made with so much love'.
We (from Toronto) will definitely return, & will never visit Montreal without having at least one meal here.
Truly a gem, with a decor that vibes perfectly with the food being served. If you know, you know.
Couldn't more highly recommend.
See you soon, Tula!
We had a wonderful experience at Tula-the ambiance, the food, & the hospitality were all exceptional. Most of all, the owner, Abhi, is an enthusiastic & welcoming gentleman who took the time to explain each dish as it was served. We will definitely be returning.
Every plate was thoughtfully balanced with protein, vegetables, & carbs, just like an authentic home?cooked Indian meal. We tried the vegetable biryani, thali, tofu koliwada, spinach & tofu curry plate, pindi chole plate, mango lassi, & hibiscus?ginger tea. Each one was excellent. My personal favorite was the biryani, & my 10?year?old especially loved the vegetable stew.
We love Tula! We ordered the biryani, butter chicken, roti, pana cona & mango lassi. Everything was absolutely delicious! As a vegan, it's usually hard to find Indian vegan food that is so delicious. Abhishek is very kind, enthusiastic & a great host.
Will definitely be here again.
The Best vegan food in Montréal. Amazing chilli chicken, Jackfruit Biryani, Sambar, Sasav Salad was 😋 delicious & the Poutine with the spicy mushroom sauce was to die for. Service is top notch. They bring you water on time, take care of your spice level ( just the right touch) & both the desserts were great. Didn't know vegan food could be so interesting. The restaurant is beautiful inside & there is some energy & vibe which relaxes you & makes you feel so good as you dine in. The restaurant is magical. We had the NYE 5 course experience - out of the world! This place deserves a Michelin Star. Best gluten free, healthy food in not just Montréal but the whole world. My favorite restaurant in the universe. The owner is very adorable. A truly genuine, caring adorable soul. His light shines through & his passion for veganism is contagious. The decor is boho yet grounding, hippie yet traditional, uplifting & zen at the same time. Love TULA to the moon & back. Their thalis come in my dreams.....get up & 🏃?♂? 🏃?♂? 🏃?♂? run....This place is a culinary gem. It is almost 100% gluten free which is an added bonus.
We've visited Tula twice in the past week, & each meal has been outstanding. On our first visit, we shared three of their brunch platters, & today we started with the lentil soup before enjoying the Jackfruit Biryani & the Grandma Platter. We finished with the sweet potato porridge dessert & our favourite drink, the tamarind ginger mocktail.
Everything we've tried has been delicious, fresh, & thoughtfully prepared. The food is flavourful without being heavy or greasy, & that's something we really appreciate. One of the best things about eating here is that we always leave feeling satisfied & energized, with none of the digestive discomfort we often experience after eating at many other restaurants.
Tula has quickly become one of our favourite vegan restaurants in Montreal, & quite possibly our favourite overall. If you're looking for healthy, creative, & genuinely delicious plant-based food, this place is a must-visit.
A little haven for vegetarians.
Their jackfruit biryani was really good. Mango moksha is a must try. & Gulkand panna cotta was brilliant.
Recommended to make reservations.
Food is prepared fresh, so the wait times can be long, so account for that, especially if visiting with kids.
I am not really into vegan food but TULA is exceptionally good
The food options are very unique, healthy & delicious
In the appetizer we tried their black lentil chaat & mushroom rolls
In the mains we tried their Grandma's coconut curry & the Jackfruit biryani is a must have
For dessert we tried their Dhondus again a must try
Since it was still not enough we went the next day to try their brunch thali & they have tikki burger, omgggg absolutely delicious
In the thali they have sweet potato halwa (Yummm)
The owner Abhi is very sweet, he personally interacts with every guest & explained the menu
The chef Rajiv & Rania are very nice with food & as well as entertaining the guests
Will definitely be going back :)
The food was delicious & was introduced to us in an exceptional manner with clear introduction about each dish. The server, Rania. also provided everything we needed with style & grace. We have twice eaten here: tonight biryani with jackfruit & last week the mixed vegetables on the Pan Asian menu. I highly recommend both. We depart for our home in the U.S. tomorrow, but will return to Tula when we next visit Montreal. At the conclusion of our meal, Rania sang beautifully in Arabic, a love song of delight.
