Le décor est très stylisé & épuré mais le bar est impressionnant a voir. L'ambiance était conviviale ; moderne & raffinée.J'ai essayé plusieurs de leurs cocktails:ils sont parmi les meilleurs que j'ai consommé a Montréal.Seul bémol,tout a pris une éternité.Que se soit pour être servi ou payer. Donc si vous aimez les endroits très chics & huppés avec décor asiatique très recherché , c'est l'endroit qu'il vous faut!
I came with my mother & sister to try out this bar that was highly rated for their brunch on social media. We started off with the chashu pork baos - they arrived cold & one of them contained butcher's string. When we got our main dishes, the chicken carbonara was disappointing - the dish overall tasted bland, like pasta water. Other than those two menu items having issues, their fluffy Japanese pancakes & brunch curries were good.
I had high expectations, the food is a little overpriced in my opinion. The taste was not the best. The Scallops with fish roe were not the freshest (fishy oudor, mostly overcooked, udon noodles were below average. Had better Japanese food in many other restaurants in montreal. The drinks were good. The service was very slow. There was a 20 min gap between the time we got our first dish & our last dish. They also messed up my friends' orders.The place & atmosphere were nice, though. The food does not match the decor.
Pretty good 👍 Tempura crispy Chasu in the ramen was one of the best ever tasted Creamy Udon was really nice, lots of umami flavors Tataki vinaigrette is really nice & goes well with the radish

I wanted to share my recent experience at your restaurant, as I believe honest feedback is valuable for continuous improvement. My friends & I were excited to visit Shushuto after seeing enticing posts on social media. Despite a minor delay in setting up our table, we were seated promptly, & our order was taken at 1:15 pm for our party of six. While the initial hiccup with the drink order was gracefully corrected by a courteous waiter, our overall experience took an unexpected turn. The dishes were served with a considerable delay, with the first two plates arriving at 2:25 pm, accompanied by a mix-up in the order. Though the situation was resolved after double-checking the tablet, it did contribute to a longer wait time. Someone in our party ordered the scallops, & despite the dish looking appealing, there was a noticeable fishy smell. While we speculated it might be the Tobiko, the uncertainty was a bit unsettling. Furthermore, we noticed some inconsistencies in the temperature of the dishes, & the miso soup had a thick consistency with a noticeable fatty smell. Additionally, the noodles in the udon were overcooked. Our overall experience was also impacted by a considerable delay in receiving our dishes, especially when compared to a party of two that arrived later & received their meals & drinks within 25-30 minutes. At the end of our meal, another waitress, who seemed to have sensed our dissatisfaction, inquired about our experience. We shared our concerns with her, & while she made an effort to address the issues, the resolution only extended to two members of our party. She mentioned coming back to assist the remaining four, but unfortunately, she, like her colleague, seemed to have disappeared into the background. I share this feedback with the intention of providing constructive input, as I genuinely believe your restaurant has the potential for excellence. However, regrettably, my friends & I have decided not to return based on our recent experience. Thank you for your understanding, & I wish you the best in your ongoing efforts to enhance the dining experience at Shushuto.
Je suis totalement vendu par la qualité de la nourriture, délicieuse!!! Le décor est super moderne & agréable...mon seul pb c la longueur du service. Toutefois, le personnel est très agréable & attentionné!!!

Nourriture est bonne, mais le service est exécrable. Il y a trop de tables pour la quantité de serveurs. Les tables sont assez serrées les unes sur les autres. On entendait clairement les conversations des tables aux alentours. Difficile d'avoir l'attention des serveurs. Nos plats ont aussi été servis à une autre table, car aucune organisation.

Really loved this place! Food was delicious & the sake cocktails were amazing, 10/10 would recommend. Great service too, waiters were super kind & had good recommendations. The decor & music gives this place a nice, upbeat vibe. Will definitely come back to try out the new brunch menu :)
Food was good but service was very slow... we had to waive at the waiter/ try to catch his attention for him to come to our table to get drinks & food. Disappointing.
On a adoré la bouffe ! C'était vraiment bon ! Les cocktails aussi une vrai " turie" par contre on a ressenti de la pression pour commander vite...& payer pour partir, ça c'était vraiment pas agréable ! Surtout que le resto était quasiment vide!
The value is what will keep me coming back. Great prices for tasty food. Chose some less popular items which is maybe why taste wasn't as good as it could be but still very nice. Chicken bao was a little dry. The only complaint is that when the table next to me was cleaned, there was a strong vinegar (I understand its part of the cleaning solution) smell for the next 10 minutes which was a bit disturbing. Overall, still a great experience. Thank you!
