Took too long for our cocktails to arrive, over 30 minutes. The beef meat was hard. Was refused a change of plate because a bowl had been brought, just change the plate when the customer asks!
We came as a familly, there was no juice for kids, which we understood but the yakitori were perfect for our daugther. Both adults got the pork miso ramen & we were quite desapointed by the size of the bowl & the quality of the noddle, that looked & taste like old frozen noodle... probably not you best choice !
Dined in twice in a month. First time was great. Service was friendly. We ordered the Udon curry & Mushroom carbonara udon as well as the Chicken karaage. Karaage was crisp & not too oily. Both udon dishes were tasty & portions were generous. Drinks were creative & balanced. Would recommend all of the above. Second time around, food & service were both disappointing. Waitress was clearly unhappy to be working & it reflected in the service. Food was subpar. We ordered the Pork ramen which lacked flavor; the broth was not rich & the pork was fibrous. We also ordered the Dry-aged steak curry. The curry flavor was tasty but we had a difficult time understanding the cook on the beef. It was chewy & lacked flavor. We would not recommend wither dishes. If this was my first visit, I would not have came back. Overall, it seems to be a hit-or-miss spot depending on what you order & staffing. Expect $20-30 per person without drinks.
I live in South Texas, USA, & was brought to Shushuto by wonderful friends. I can't comment on location because I have no idea where we were. The ambience was nice casual, modern, asian. Everything I saw was clean & run very well. We walked in on a snowy Sunday night & there was no wait, & plenty of tables.. On a post, there were convenient hooks to hang your overcoat. My friends all speak French, Spanish & English. I speak English, Spanish & Portuguese & could understand some of the French menu, but not quite enough to make sense. The server was very gracious & kind to bring me an English menu. We started off with an appetizers of mixed skewers: shrimp, chicken, sweet potato & others. It was all very good. I ordered the pork tonkotsu ramen soup. This soup is quite filling, flavorful, & delicious! I highly recommend it! It has some spice, but brought me more to add at the table if I wanted it. The server kept our glasses full & ensured we had a wonderful meal. She is a true gem. I wish I could remember her name to recognize her in this review. The music was pleasant, but a tad loud. Thankfully it was not so loud as to make conversation difficult. Perhaps I'm just getting old. I really enjoyed Shushutos, &, if you enjoy Asian fusion, think you will too. I would certainly return if ever in Montreál again!

I tried this place for the first time this weekend & it was an excellent experience! The restaurant itself is very well designed, with a striking bar in the middle making the space very attractive from the outside as well. The food was amazing, we ordered a chicken Bao, which was very tasty, crunchy & fluffy at the same time. We also had the dry aged meat Mazzemen, which was a very nice combination, the noodles as well as the other ingredients were delicious ! Highly recommend this place, as they also have an extensive wine list.
Truly enjoyed our experience at Shushuto Bar à Ramen + Tapas. Service? Kind & attentive! The drinks? Works of art & Tasty af! The food? Deeeelicious! We were three & shared 3 tapas (edamame, karaage chicken, salad). That salad, was out of this world, booming with flavours! We each took a main meal, & we left very happy & full! Thank you for a great experience!

The service was really good along with the drinks & Tapas. I highly recommend trying the duck or charsiu baos. Although I was very disappointed in the dry aged beef ramen. it was tough, rubbery & tasteless- not worth the try. Overall it was a nice experience but was put off with the ramen.
Ce restaurant apparaît sur beaucoup de réseaux sociaux avec de belles revues. Nous avions donc voulu tester le brunch avec les beaux plats proposés & le fluffy pancake japonais. Tout était très beaux visuellement, ce qui nous mets en appétit. Le boeuf grésillant n'était pas bien assaisonné & caoutchouteux & l'oeuf miroir était tellement cuit qu'on ne pouvait pas le couper. Le udon au curry était fade sans goût. & le fluffy pancake, quelle déception: il n'y avait rien de fluffy & n'était pas bien cuit. Peut-être que le souper est mieux, mais le brunch m'a vraiment déçu. Je ne le recommande pas, surtout avec ces prix.
The evening was wonderful! The service was informative & very pleasant. The food was divine, portions are definitely large! The cocktails are also a must.

1- the music was quiet loud
2- in my plate was a small container (bowl) has chipped
The coffee mugs served by waiters was all overflowing & not clean
Seulement moi & une amie. Attendre 30 min pour recevoir les cafés & ensuite 1h30 pour avoir sa nourriture même avec une réservation. Les tables arriver plus tard servit avant. Les serveurs pas accommodants du tout. Pour un expérience brunch c'est très décevant.
