I had the pasta gigi, & the sauce was so filling that the one plate easily filled me up. Plus with the free unlimited bread makes it even better & able to scope up the remaining sauce with the bread. You can not leave this place without being filled to the rim.Voir plus
Great Italian restaurant near Pierrefords.
Went on a Friday night around 6pm. Had two people with no reservation. Places was very busy, but the front of the house is rum so efficiently & the wait was only like 15 minutes. To sit down. Service was friendly & helpful.
Had a could drinks to start, Daquari & a Negroni, both were decent size & tasted good.
The waiter brought us a warm bread with some oil & balsamic on side to dip into.
The Ceasar Salad was excellent, the dressing was flavorful & creamy.
For mains we had a Roasted Rack of Lamb, & the linguini pasta in cream sauce with shrimp & mushrooms (Linguini con Gamberetti alla Brandy Rosa)
We were stuffed, but couldn't pass up dessert to go for later. A strawberry cake, & tiramisu.
Overall the food was done well & tasty. The service was great. Atmosphere was nice & lively. Would be great to bring large groups, saw a lot of larger tables of 6 or more there (obviously with reservations).
Would recommend & will be one of our go to options when in the area in future trips.Voir plus
We were visiting for a nearby event & found this restaurant by chance. It was jam packed & we still got our food right away. & the food was delicious, the pasta sauce was so rich. The service was top notch too!Voir plus
Everything we had was meticuously prepared & cooked to perfection!
Rack of lamb dish was exceptionally good!
Hubby had the vitello parmigiano with linguine in meat sauce & it was the most authentic Italian tasting tomato sauce ever!!!Voir plus
I grew up in the West Island with Scarolies being the local, Italian staple. I recently tried the fried zucchini & am so disappointed in myself for not trying it sooner! It's absolutely delicious & the dipping sauce is amazing.Voir plus
The food was amazing! Gnocchi with the gorgonzola sauce, rack of lamb & seafood linguini. Plates were on the table d'hôte which came with either a soup or salad as an appetizer. For dessert, we had some cakes & coffee. Great service by Jimmy. We will be back! One star off because the washrooms were a bit in need of a clean (floors were sticky & one of the stalls was out of TP).Voir plus
I hadn't been to Scarolies for a long time. I decided to go have supper after my hockey game. I order veal scallopini with pasta on the side. I asked if the tomato sauce could be substituted to bolognese & the waitress said sure no problem. Everything was delicious! The veal sauce was so good, the veal so tender. The bolognese sauce was beyond delicious. I bought a litre of it & brought it home. My wife said, when you're on the West Island Sunday get some more!!! It's so delicious! We're Italian so we know good sauce. Service was great, prices are extremely good for the quality & quantity of dishes. This is now my go to place when I'm craving Italian food. Highly recommend it. Also the terrasse is so beautiful & romantic. It reminded me of Gianni's in Aruba.Voir plus
Scarolies Pasta Emporium is the « pasta place » of the west island. The prices are good & the portions are huge. Every table gets unlimited warm bread with olive oil & vinegar. Don't be shy to ask for cheese & pepper on your pasta, the waiters are super nice & won't hesitate to give you as much as you need! You can also add gratinated cheese on any pasta plate if you feel like your meal is not cheesy enough. The fried calamari & marinara sauce are also really good. Service & atmosphere is 5/5. Giving food 4/5 as I had better pasta, but this is still a good place & I would come back. This place is big group adn birthday friendlyVoir plus
For lunch, we had a chicken Cesar salad & seafood salad. The cesar salad was missing bacon, & the chicken was unfortunately dry. There was a bit too much sauce, although it was very tasty with freshly grated parmesan on top. The seafood salad had a good portion of calamari, smoked salmon & shrimp. The calamari was perfectly cooked not rubbery at all but there was no additional sauce to dip it in. The salad was perfectly dressed with a light but delicious vinegarette. Both salads were enormous & we weren't able to eat more then half. They also bring a fresh baguette with oil & balsamic vinegar but the bread although very fresh, tasted plain & somewhat flavorless. The interior is VERY old but you can also day it adds to the charm. Service was super friendly & helpful. The price was good for the portions we got but it's not necessary to have such enormous portions for lunch.Voir plus
Great service, great menu with many different dishes & choices & most of all great food cooked to perfection!! On a busy night the restaurant is full too capacity & can get a little loud. The skirt steak meal with the mushroom reduction sauce was phenomenal 👌 Well worth the drive from Southern Ontario.Voir plus

They have a large menu with a lot of variety in between 20$-40$. We both ordered chicken but didn't like the butter, lemon & white whine plate. The sauce was nice but the chicken texture wasn't. When you order a plate with veal or chicken, you can choose between 2 different pasta on the side. I enjoyed the penne with the spicy tomato sauce but it didn't go well with the chicken in my opinion. I wish the calamari had more seasoning but the sauce it came with & the crispiness was nice. The service was fast, we were placed upon arrival without any reservation on a Saturday. We were sitted in a corridor with a lot of movement & the place was really loud for a conversation. We got all our plates at the same time & since everything comes individually, it got overcrowded for the table. For the calamari & our 2 plates (no drinks), it cost a little over 100$ with tipVoir plus
The food is very good. The pasta dishes in general are excellent. If you don't have time to cook a meat sauce,I would recommend ordering a litre of meat sauce to go for fourteen dollars. The sauce is heated & they throw in a warm crusty bread for free.Much appreciated!!The ladies when you come in give five star service.Plenty of parking.my opinion go for it,good quality, great prices.Voir plus
I couldn't resist going back several times to my favorite Italian restaurant in West Island! They have a wide variety of dishes, & everything is delicious! You must try the calamari-it's some of the best in Montreal! Crispy, tender, & perfectly seasoned. Their pasta is amazing too, whether it's with red sauce, white sauce, or pesto. I recommend adding some chili flakes for an extra kick. The lamb chops are a signature dish, perfectly seasoned & absolutely divine! If you're in the mood for beef but find steaks too large, try the steak bavette-tender & juicy. The portions are generous, & I often end up taking leftovers home. If you're ever in West Island, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant!Voir plus
Scarolies is our favourite Italian restaurant in Montreal. We've celebrated special occasions here or just shared wonderful meals with our families for the last 15+ years. The pasta is delicious, the portions are generous & the prices are reasonable, especially the table d'hôte. We also really enjoy the fresh baguette. Of all the dishes I've tried, my favourite dish is the Linguini with Giant Shrimps in a Brandy Rosé sauce & when I'm in the mood for something a bit spicy, I really like the Capelli di Angelo alla Diablo dish. Thank you Scarolies for serving us such delicious food over the years.Voir plus
The food was good but nothing exceptional; their portions are very generous. Lunch menu has lots of different options to suit everyone's craving. The pasta dish with rose sauce that I had was a bit bland, pasta was missing a bit of salt. The restaurant itself requires a major update; the chair cushions are so flat & thin that they are useless, as well the material is threadbare. The chairs are low & the tables high, making it a bit uncomfortable while sitting there for the meal. The menus are frayed & look like they've been there as long as the cushions. The concept of having a whole loaf of bread on the table needs to go, a bit excessive & irritating to have to cut it up, which in turn makes a huge mess on the table.Voir plus
Had an amazing experience! Loved the warm fresh bread with dipping oil to start the meal. Ordered meatballs for an appetizer, they were so tender & the red sauce was out of this world. Pasta dishes were delicious, ordered dessert to go & was not disappointed. Great ambiance & authentic! Will definitely return here when in Montreal!Voir plus
I have ordered out from Scarolie's many times & they never disappoint. This time around I dined in. It was a Friday night & the atmosphere was fantastic. We had a group reservation, I arrived fashionably late lol. Got seated right away & appetizers were already rolling. The bread needed a little more time in the oven. I had fried calamari which was crunchy & delicious. It came with spicy mayo 🤩 I chose the clam chowder soup which was yummy. My main meal was the rack of lamb which I have never tried here before. It was cooked to perfection with a mushroom sauce. The Nutella cheesecake with the espresso & biscuit were heavenly. Indeed, I had indulged. The service was amazing & the staff were very attentive to our needs. A very positive experience that I would definitely repeat.
great quality food at an affordable price. also good takeout. I ordered the lasagna casalinga & it was very good. it came in an inviting display, composed of soft pasta with tasty stretchy cheese covered with appetizing sauce. it wasnt expensive & it came in a big portion.Voir plus
We went there after 3 months of quarantine. The food was very oily & very very heavy! Super hot as we had to wait half an hour for it to cool down! Very heavy pasta sauce. We ate 1/4 of it & ended up with a stomachache !
I went to go have a late lunch yesterday with my husband & we were sitting in the back area which we thought would have been quiet enough for the two of us. We ordered our food with the nice waitress & the food came quick enough. My husband had pasta & i had fish, & both were too oily for my taste. The pasta was drowning in sauce & the fish had started making a soup in my plate. & all this wasn't even the worst part! We were quietly NOT enjoying our food when this hysterical woman with dark hair starts yelling in the back. I'm not sure if she works there or maybe she was just an unhappy customer but she was screaming at this young boy in some kind of language. Then she disappeared & came back in full swing to yell at someone else in the same tone. Not only was the food bad enough, but the way this woman was yelling made the whole experience quite terrible. When our waitress had returned to our table, the poor woman looked shocked. ALL this to say... HORRIBLE RESTAURANT! If management allows people to scream at each other like this, how can anyone enjoy their meal (which is hard enough as is).
