A great Italian food discovery in the West Island! We ordered a variety of dishes, & each one was flavourful & delicious. The portions were gigantic-highly recommend the veal scaloppini & the steak bavette. The only downside was the long wait for food, as it was a full house on Saturday night. We arrived at 7:15 p.m. & left around 10:30 p.m., as we had multiple courses. That said, our server was friendly, checked in on us regularly, & even took the initiative to follow up with the kitchen about the delays.Voir plus

Great Italian restaurant near Pierrefords.
Went on a Friday night around 6pm. Had two people with no reservation. Places was very busy, but the front of the house is rum so efficiently & the wait was only like 15 minutes. To sit down. Service was friendly & helpful.
Had a could drinks to start, Daquari & a Negroni, both were decent size & tasted good.
The waiter brought us a warm bread with some oil & balsamic on side to dip into.
The Ceasar Salad was excellent, the dressing was flavorful & creamy.
For mains we had a Roasted Rack of Lamb, & the linguini pasta in cream sauce with shrimp & mushrooms (Linguini con Gamberetti alla Brandy Rosa)
We were stuffed, but couldn't pass up dessert to go for later. A strawberry cake, & tiramisu.
Overall the food was done well & tasty. The service was great. Atmosphere was nice & lively. Would be great to bring large groups, saw a lot of larger tables of 6 or more there (obviously with reservations).
Would recommend & will be one of our go to options when in the area in future trips.Voir plus

I've been to Scarolies multiple times, & it never disappoints! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, & the service is just as fantastic. The portions are huge, & the fresh baguette is unlimited-a rare & wonderful touch. It does get very busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. My family & I have visited eight countries, 30+ U.S. states, & countless restaurants around the world. Scarolies Pasta Emporium has been the most memorable experience thanks to their friendly staff who go the extra mile to their customers & their incredible food that I believe is the best Italian cuisine in the western hemisphere. We first went to Scarolies in the summer of 2023 & it was completely by fluke. It was late & they were getting ready to close but they sat us anyway (which is hard to come by in the U.S.) Our server was Indigo & we were immediately impressed by his captivating persona, literally by breaking bread. He executed expedient services, showed a genuine fondness of the job (including exploring opportunities in the U.S.), & was interested in getting to know us. We had the most memorable conversations with him that have stuck with us to this day. We decided to return to Canada the following summer, driving 9 hours to visit Montreal again with an intentional stop at Scarolies. Again, Indigo was our server & we couldn't of asked for a better experience. As for food, their bread is incredible - served hot & fresh with the full baguette! I highly recommend their fried calamari as an appetizer & the Penne alla Gigi for the main course.Voir plus

I hadn't been to Scarolies for a long time. I decided to go have supper after my hockey game. I order veal scallopini with pasta on the side. I asked if the tomato sauce could be substituted to bolognese & the waitress said sure no problem. Everything was delicious! The veal sauce was so good, the veal so tender. The bolognese sauce was beyond delicious. I bought a litre of it & brought it home. My wife said, when you're on the West Island Sunday get some more!!! It's so delicious! We're Italian so we know good sauce. Service was great, prices are extremely good for the quality & quantity of dishes. This is now my go to place when I'm craving Italian food. Highly recommend it. Also the terrasse is so beautiful & romantic. It reminded me of Gianni's in Aruba.Voir plus

Scarolies Pasta Emporium is a west island staple. It's been around for many years & whilst their menu could use an update, their food is classic & tasty. You can find a wide variety of Italian food ranging from, pastas, pizza, salads & a few others. The portions are healthy & have a home style to their dishes. I recommend to stick with a pasta dish rather than pizza, it's what they do, & they do it well. Definitely worth trying, I love the warm baguette dipped in the olive oil & balsamic vinegar! I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant with my friend, & despite the waitlist due to the busy evening, the wait was definitely worth it. The staff greeted us promptly & made sure we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived. Their politeness & attentiveness added to the overall positive experience. The food was exceptional, & it's clear that the restaurant values both quality & customer satisfaction. The fact that the staff checked in on us throughout our meal further enhanced the dining experience. The food is very good.The pasta dishes in general are excellent.If you don't have time to cook a meat sauce,I would recommend ordering a litre of meat sauce to go for fourteen dollars.The sauce is heated & they throw in a warm crusty bread for free.Much appreciated!!The ladies when you come in give five star service.Plenty of parking.my opinion go for it,good quality, great prices.Voir plus

I couldn't resist going back several times to my favorite Italian restaurant in West Island! They have a wide variety of dishes, & everything is delicious! You must try the calamari-it's some of the best in Montreal! Crispy, tender, & perfectly seasoned. Their pasta is amazing too, whether it's with red sauce, white sauce, or pesto. I recommend adding some chili flakes for an extra kick. The lamb chops are a signature dish, perfectly seasoned & absolutely divine! If you're in the mood for beef but find steaks too large, try the steak bavette-tender & juicy. The portions are generous, & I often end up taking leftovers home. Went on a recommendation but was skeptical, as I'm of italian heritage & critical of italian food at restaurants. Greek owners, therefore, a slight spin on the food. It was decent, large in portion & service, friendly & attentive. Authentic, it was not, but a good attempt. Very expensive for what you get. The atmosphere is very put on rather than authentic, & the overall cleanliness was not great. The staff seemed very stressed & pressured, which wasn't surprising as the theme was to pack as many customers into as small of a space as possible. We had a lovely dinner at Scarolies this evening which never disappoints! We arrived without a reservation at 5:15pm & were seated right away. (Party of 2) We were greeted most promptly by Gabriel our waiter with water & their famous all you can eat fresh baguette (it was literally steaming). Gabriel made our night! He was so kind & courteous. We never felt rushed but always felt attended to. He was so pleasant to deal with. We shared a cesar salad to start & then had the Penne Gigi & Tortellini Rosé as our mains. The food & portion sizes are well worth the price point. Everything was so delicious & we even took home lunch for the next day. We finished with a classic tiramisu to share & that was also mouthwatering. What's more, halfway through our meal we noticed the Maître D doing his rounds & checking in on diners to see how their experience was going. This is so rare to see these days, we were delighted by this extra care shown by management. We told him that we appreciated the checkin & love that the restaurant is always so consistent. A true staple in the West Island. I can't stress enough how good we felt leaving there. Money well spent with the best service we've received in a long time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! A++++Voir plus

I've dine here a few years ago & the experience was pleasant, food was delicious. Love the variety & ambiance. I think few restaurants nowadays have that inviting, comforting feel & decor. Many new restaurants have rather minimalistic, cold, straight & boring modern decor. Scarolies kind of has that old charm italian garden, complete with waterfall & plants/vines. My most recent experience was on Saturday March 9, 2024 around 1pm. I ordered take out, just one plate of spaghetti carbonara. The restaurant was moderately busy but they were able to prepare my order quickly while I waited near the entrance - there are comfortable seats & enough room to wait. Very surprised that I got a whole complimentary baguette bread to take home & the portion size for my pasta was huge. Honestly so impressed with this meal! For the price, around 25$ + tax, it was well worth it, as it was enough food to feed at least 3 or 4 people. The hot & fresh bread is such as a nice touch. Would definitely recommend this place for comforting & delicious italian food - even the take out container was a good reusable plastic, no spillage or leaking, everything was so well prepared, it was amazing.Voir plus

The atmosphere is amazing, fun, & very Italian! The decor is themed according to Italian food. The staff is very cordial & friendly. Very good wines, entrees...OMG That bread with olive oil is to die for! Amazing food, very savory! Also, the desserts are delicious! We went with a big group of friends, & we shared the same opinion. What a great place to satisfy your pasta craving! I know it's a little out of the way from central Montreal, but it is so worth the drive. The staff is fantastic, the service is quick, & the abundance of choices is amazing! Also, prices seem higher but the portions are HUGE. Two meals can easily be made of one order.
