Service & staff are amazing.
Love the fact that the food comes out steamy hot & stays hot for a very long time.
Kids menu is also available if your child is 10yrs old & under. Easy & free access to parking.

We heard about this restaurant from some of our coworkers from Montreal. Being from Halifax we do have a share of Italian restaurants but this was next level.
Our staff member was Kaila. She was absolutely amazing. Our whole family remarked how efficient, friendly, caring & timely she was. The restaurant was very busy while we were there & that usually means the staff doesn't have the time to attend the tables as often. Not the case here. Kaila was there for us the whole time within minutes to check how we were doing.
So that's the service, let's talk about food. Huge portions or fresh cooked apps & meals. You could tell the chefs & cooks take pride in the quality of food & presentation. I can say, for someone who has travelled to Italy, this was the best pasta I've ever had. Delicious! Can't wait to return. Thank you Kaila & cooking staff.Voir plus

Great place to have some good classic pasta. I had the pasta gigi, & the sauce was so filling that the one plate easily filled me up. Plus with the free unlimited bread makes it even better & able to scope up the remaining sauce with the bread. You can not leave this place without being filled to the rim.Voir plus

Great Italian restaurant near Pierrefords.
Went on a Friday night around 6pm. Had two people with no reservation. Places was very busy, but the front of the house is rum so efficiently & the wait was only like 15 minutes. To sit down. Service was friendly & helpful.
Had a could drinks to start, Daquari & a Negroni, both were decent size & tasted good.
The waiter brought us a warm bread with some oil & balsamic on side to dip into.
The Ceasar Salad was excellent, the dressing was flavorful & creamy.
For mains we had a Roasted Rack of Lamb, & the linguini pasta in cream sauce with shrimp & mushrooms (Linguini con Gamberetti alla Brandy Rosa)
We were stuffed, but couldn't pass up dessert to go for later. A strawberry cake, & tiramisu.
Overall the food was done well & tasty. The service was great. Atmosphere was nice & lively. Would be great to bring large groups, saw a lot of larger tables of 6 or more there (obviously with reservations).
Would recommend & will be one of our go to options when in the area in future trips.Voir plus

What can be said about Scarolies? Yummy! Must-go! Delicious! Great value! Fantastic service! It really is a place worthy of being called a pasta emporium. The food is awesome & come in big portions so you'll have leftovers ready to enjoy again the next day. There is a lot of staff who are very focused on tremendous customer service. From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality & Peter's exceptional service made for an outstanding experience.
We enjoyed pasta, pizza, salad, & a bottle of Pinot Noir, expertly recommended by our server. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. A standout touch was their automatic plating of shared dishes, a rare & thoughtful service detail.

My family & I have visited eight countries, 30+ U.S. states, & countless restaurants around the world. Scarolies Pasta Emporium has been the most memorable experience thanks to their friendly staff who go the extra mile to their customers & their incredible food that I believe is the best Italian cuisine in the western hemisphere. We first went to Scarolies in the summer of 2023 & it was completely by fluke. It was late & they were getting ready to close but they sat us anyway (which is hard to come by in the U.S.) Our server was Indigo & we were immediately impressed by his captivating persona, literally by breaking bread. He executed expedient services, showed a genuine fondness of the job (including exploring opportunities in the U.S.), & was interested in getting to know us. We had the most memorable conversations with him that have stuck with us to this day. We decided to return to Canada the following summer, driving 9 hours to visit Montreal again with an intentional stop at Scarolies. Again, Indigo was our server & we couldn't of asked for a better experience. As for food, their bread is incredible - served hot & fresh with the full baguette! I highly recommend their fried calamari as an appetizer & the Penne alla Gigi for the main course.Voir plus

I hadn't been to Scarolies for a long time. I decided to go have supper after my hockey game. I order veal scallopini with pasta on the side. I asked if the tomato sauce could be substituted to bolognese & the waitress said sure no problem. Everything was delicious! The veal sauce was so good, the veal so tender. The bolognese sauce was beyond delicious. I bought a litre of it & brought it home. My wife said, when you're on the West Island Sunday get some more!!! It's so delicious! We're Italian so we know good sauce. Service was great, prices are extremely good for the quality & quantity of dishes. This is now my go to place when I'm craving Italian food. Highly recommend it. Scarolies Pasta Emporium is the « pasta place » of the west island. The prices are good & the portions are huge. Every table gets unlimited warm bread with olive oil & vinegar. Don't be shy to ask for cheese & pepper on your pasta, the waiters are super nice & won't hesitate to give you as much as you need! You can also add gratinated cheese on any pasta plate if you feel like your meal is not cheesy enough. The fried calamari & marinara sauce are also really good. Service & atmosphere is 5/5. Scarolies Pasta Emporium is a west island staple. It's been around for many years & whilst their menu could use an update, their food is classic & tasty. You can find a wide variety of Italian food ranging from, pastas, pizza, salads & a few others. The portions are healthy & have a home style to their dishes. I recommend to stick with a pasta dish rather than pizza, it's what they do, & they do it well. Definitely worth trying, I love the warm baguette dipped in the olive oil & balsamic vinegar! Went with a group of 6 with prior reservations. This was a staple for my friend group for the last 2 decades. Hadn't been in a long while & although the service is still great, the food was a sore disappointment. I had the chicken fettuccini al funghi - the chicken was breaded & gross. Pasta was way too creamy & full of oil. The sundried tomatoes were chewy. 😔 Such a let down. Won't be going back.Voir plus

They have a large menu with a lot of variety in between 20$-40$. We both ordered chicken but didn't like the butter, lemon & white whine plate. The sauce was nice but the chicken texture wasn't. When you order a plate with veal or chicken, you can choose between 2 different pasta on the side. I enjoyed the penne with the spicy tomato sauce but it didn't go well with the chicken in my opinion. I wish the calamari had more seasoning but the sauce it came with & the crispiness was nice. The service was fast, we were placed upon arrival without any reservation on a Saturday. We were sitted in a corridor with a lot of movement & the place was really loud for a conversation. We got all our plates at the same time & since everything comes individually, it got overcrowded for the table. Had a fantastic meal with our cousins at Scarolies Pasta Emporium. We all had different dishes for dinner, & each one was excellent. Mine was the Lasagna, & it was very filling. I had a Cesear Salad with it, & it was perfectly prepared with just enough dressing & barely a drop left over on the plate. Lasagna was piping hot with lots of beef & cheese. The same high quality was experienced by my dinner table, with Veal Marsala & Veal Port with pears & leeks. They both loved their dishes. & finally the Rosé pasta was also perfectly prepared. We never felt rushed & enjoyed our sitting outside, even with a little rain, it was all enjoyable. Thanks to the staff & cooks - it was all fantastic!Voir plus
