This restaurant was already packed at 6 p.m. on a Sunday. It feels like they've added more tables over the years-the seating is very tight, & the place is extremely loud. You practically have to shout to keep a conversation going. The food, however, was top-notch.
Sincere Request ~~ Please bring back your Mussels with Saffron Sauce-it was one of the best dishes on your menu. 😋

We've been to Scarolies Pasta Emporium several times, & it's always a solid experience. A word of advice: make a reservation. It gets very crowded, & walking in without one might leave you without a table.
One of the best parts of dining here is the warm baguette they serve as soon as you sit down. It comes with olive oil & balsamic vinegar for dipping, & you can always ask for a refill. It's not the best baguette I've ever had, but it's genuinely good & a great way to start the meal.
This time, we had two soups: the soup of the day (vegetarian) & the chicken noodle. Both were decent; nothing extraordinary, but satisfying.
For mains, we ordered a few pasta dishes: one with shrimp, one with lobster, & a lamb dish. The pasta was very good: the sauces were flavorful & well-balanced, & the pasta itself wasn't overcooked. I especially appreciated the generous offering of fresh black pepper & cheese, you can always ask for more.
The lamb was also good. We had two lamb plates, & the flavor varied slightly between them-sometimes more mild, sometimes richer. The only small downside was that the sauce on one was a bit too salty, possibly from the black pepper & salt combo.
Overall, the food is consistently good, the service is friendly, & the little touches (like the baguette & fresh cheese/pepper) make it a place worth coming back to. We'll definitely be returning!

A great Italian food discovery in the West Island! We ordered a variety of dishes, & each one was flavourful & delicious. The portions were gigantic-highly recommend the veal scaloppini & the steak bavette. The only downside was the long wait for food, as it was a full house on Saturday night. We arrived at 7:15 p.m. & left around 10:30 p.m., as we had multiple courses. That said, our server was friendly, checked in on us regularly, & even took the initiative to follow up with the kitchen about the delays.

From the moment we arrived, the warm hospitality & Peter's exceptional service made for an outstanding experience.
We enjoyed pasta, pizza, salad, & a bottle of Pinot Noir, expertly recommended by our server. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, & beautifully prepared. A standout touch was their automatic plating of shared dishes, a rare & thoughtful service detail.
To top it off, the server-recommended carrot cheesecake was incredible. Scarolies excels in food, service, & wine-highly recommended!

The best Italian restaurant I ever experienced, the pizza & mare pasta was really delicious. Staff are really professional & friendly & helpful & they try their best to enjoy the moment. I love the atmosphere & surroundings & paintings. I could not recommend this place any more. I want to go again & again to try different dishes

I hadn't been to Scarolies for a long time. I decided to go have supper after my hockey game. I order veal scallopini with pasta on the side. I asked if the tomato sauce could be substituted to bolognese & the waitress said sure no problem. Everything was delicious! The veal sauce was so good, the veal so tender. The bolognese sauce was beyond delicious. I bought a litre of it & brought it home. My wife said, when you're on the West Island Sunday get some more!!! It's so delicious! We're Italian so we know good sauce. Service was great, prices are extremely good for the quality & quantity of dishes. This is now my go to place when I'm craving Italian food. Highly recommend it. Also the terrasse is so beautiful & romantic. It reminded me of Gianni's in Aruba.

Scarolies Pasta Emporium is a west island staple. It's been around for many years & whilst their menu could use an update, their food is classic & tasty. You can find a wide variety of Italian food ranging from, pastas, pizza, salads & a few others. The portions are healthy & have a home style to their dishes. I recommend to stick with a pasta dish rather than pizza, it's what they do, & they do it well. Definitely worth trying, I love the warm baguette dipped in the olive oil & balsamic vinegar! Lovely touch!

Me being a Musician from the east coast of Canada ( home of the freshest seafood) I hand down will say this place has the most exceptional dishes that will leave you with the wow factor when leaving. The man serving our table ( Gabriel ) was the absolute definition of top tier. Asked him to surprise me with something & he delivered. Many blessing & wishes of success to this establishment. Great service, great menu with many different dishes & choices & most of all great food cooked to perfection!! On a busy night the restaurant is full too capacity & can get a little loud. The skirt steak meal with the mushroom reduction sauce was phenomenal 👌 Well worth the drive from Southern Ontario.

Had a fantastic meal with our cousins at Scarolies Pasta Emporium. We all had different dishes for dinner, & each one was excellent. Mine was the Lasagna, & it was very filling. I had a Cesear Salad with it, & it was perfectly prepared with just enough dressing & barely a drop left over on the plate. Lasagna was piping hot with lots of beef & cheese. The same high quality was experienced by my dinner table, with Veal Marsala & Veal Port with pears & leeks. They both loved their dishes. & finally the Rosé pasta was also perfectly prepared. We never felt rushed & enjoyed our sitting outside, even with a little rain, it was all enjoyable. Thanks to the staff & cooks - it was all fantastic!

The food is always great, & the service is exceptional. Their salads are good & their main dishes are varied & rich. Love the angel hair pasta with shrimp. Gnocchi gorgonzola is full of flavor Kids' meal selection is wide with several good options Only issue was that for a big group air-conditioning was weak on a hot day

The food is very good.The pasta dishes in general are excellent.If you don't have time to cook a meat sauce,I would recommend ordering a litre of meat sauce to go for fourteen dollars.The sauce is heated & they throw in a warm crusty bread for free.Much appreciated!!The ladies when you come in give five star service.Plenty of parking.my opinion go for it,good quality, great prices.

I couldn't resist going back several times to my favorite Italian restaurant in West Island! They have a wide variety of dishes, & everything is delicious! You must try the calamari-it's some of the best in Montreal! Crispy, tender, & perfectly seasoned. Their pasta is amazing too, whether it's with red sauce, white sauce, or pesto. I recommend adding some chili flakes for an extra kick. The lamb chops are a signature dish, perfectly seasoned & absolutely divine! If you're in the mood for beef but find steaks too large, try the steak bavette-tender & juicy. The portions are generous, & I often end up taking leftovers home. If you're ever in West Island, I highly recommend this Italian restaurant!

The food & the ambiance are definitely a 5 star experience EVERY SINGLE TIME! Consistency is key in a restaurant & they have never once disappointed me when it concerns their flavour profile on any of their dishes! Side note : Panagiotis is an AMAZING waiter!
