This restaurant is just ok. The place is super loud, the drinks were absolutely awful, the so called'martini' tasted like juice & the mixed drinks were terribly made. The best thing I ate was actually the baguette. The salad lettuce was cut into huge pieces, the calamari & the sauce it came with were quite bland. Our main courses were mostly good (pizza, several pastas, chicken), the salmon dish was a bit bland, the chicken with cream sauce & cranberry came with pasta with tomato sauce which was an odd combination. Desserts were pretty good also. The service was great & I appreciated that they packed our leftovers for us unlike many restaurants that just give you a box.

Very good flavour good portion, reasonable pricing. My son loves the baguette & minestrone soup. Staff is calm & welcoming. Will come back.

Great restaurant , the service was impeccable . It was packed Saturday night but you wouldn't know it from the quick & friendly service. Our waiter was very attentive & the food was delicious especially the homemade baguette served with olive oil/ balsamic dip. Would definitely recommend & go again

I discovered this charming Italian restaurant while searching for new places to try-I'm a big fan of tasting foods from different cultures. The welcome was warm, & the staff guided us to our table right away. While we looked over the menu, they brought fresh baguette with olive oil & balsamic vinegar as a small appetizer-simple but lovely.

We ordered one pasta & one pizza. The pasta was excellent-rich, balanced, & exactly what I'll come back for next time. The pizza was good, a touch above average in flavor & texture; I'd rate it 4/5. Service throughout the evening was attentive & friendly, & I really liked the atmosphere & decor-cozy without feeling cramped.

Overall, a great spot for pasta lovers, solid pizza, & warm service. I'm definitely returning.

We've been to Scarolies Pasta Emporium several times, & it's always a solid experience. A word of advice: make a reservation. It gets very crowded, & walking in without one might leave you without a table.

One of the best parts of dining here is the warm baguette they serve as soon as you sit down. It comes with olive oil & balsamic vinegar for dipping, & you can always ask for a refill. It's not the best baguette I've ever had, but it's genuinely good & a great way to start the meal.

This time, we had two soups: the soup of the day (vegetarian) & the chicken noodle. Both were decent; nothing extraordinary, but satisfying.

For mains, we ordered a few pasta dishes: one with shrimp, one with lobster, & a lamb dish. The pasta was very good: the sauces were flavorful & well-balanced, & the pasta itself wasn't overcooked. I especially appreciated the generous offering of fresh black pepper & cheese, you can always ask for more.

The lamb was also good. We had two lamb plates, & the flavor varied slightly between them-sometimes more mild, sometimes richer. The only small downside was that the sauce on one was a bit too salty, possibly from the black pepper & salt combo.

Overall, the food is consistently good, the service is friendly, & the little touches (like the baguette & fresh cheese/pepper) make it a place worth coming back to. We'll definitely be returning!

I've been here twice now, & both times I left extremely happy. The service is amazing! Even when the place is packed, the staff is fast, attentive, & super friendly. We didn't have to wait long for a table either. They even brought me a complimentary Caesar salad (a generous portion!) even though it wasn't included with my meal. You start off with a whole baguette for the table, served with olive oil & balsamic vinegar for dipping, which is such a nice touch! The food is delicious, the portions are huge, & there's such a great selection!! Warm & cozy ambiance too! Can't wait to go back!

I've been to Scarolies multiple times, & it never disappoints! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, & the service is just as fantastic. The portions are huge, & the fresh baguette is unlimited-a rare & wonderful touch. It does get very busy, so I highly recommend making a reservation. Whether you're here for a casual meal or a special occasion, you're in for a treat!

Je suis allée avec mon copain. Tout était génial. De la qualité/prix jusqu'au serveur & son sourire, l'expérience était irréprochable. Le restaurant était plein alors un peu difficile de s'entendre, mais ce n'est pas la faute du restaurant. Le serveur nous a même proposé une baguette à prendre à la maison en partant & j'ai adoré! J'y retournerais n'importe quand!

Always great food & service, good value for your $ & enough left to bring some home. I almost forgot hot baguette is a nice touch. Decor & ambiance could use some updating, but it doesn't seem to matter as it's usually packed most days of the week.

My family & I have visited eight countries, 30+ U.S. states, & countless restaurants around the world. Scarolies Pasta Emporium has been the most memorable experience thanks to their friendly staff who go the extra mile to their customers & their incredible food that I believe is the best Italian cuisine in the western hemisphere. We first went to Scarolies in the summer of 2023 & it was completely by fluke. It was late & they were getting ready to close but they sat us anyway (which is hard to come by in the U.S.) Our server was Indigo & we were immediately impressed by his captivating persona, literally by breaking bread. He executed expedient services, showed a genuine fondness of the job (including exploring opportunities in the U.S.), & was interested in getting to know us. We had the most memorable conversations with him that have stuck with us to this day. We decided to return to Canada the following summer, driving 9 hours to visit Montreal again with an intentional stop at Scarolies. Again, Indigo was our server & we couldn't of asked for a better experience. As for food, their bread is incredible - served hot & fresh with the full baguette! I highly recommend their fried calamari as an appetizer & the Penne alla Gigi for the main course.

Scarolies Pasta Emporium is a west island staple. It's been around for many years & whilst their menu could use an update, their food is classic & tasty. You can find a wide variety of Italian food ranging from, pastas, pizza, salads & a few others. The portions are healthy & have a home style to their dishes. I recommend to stick with a pasta dish rather than pizza, it's what they do, & they do it well. Definitely worth trying, I love the warm baguette dipped in the olive oil & balsamic vinegar! Lovely touch!
